Nobody is forcing any coach to coach. I believe they get paid to put up with everything that comes with the position. If they can't take the fans, parents, players, and alumni, they have the option to quit. I don't pity or feel sorry for anything they put up with. It's part of their job.

You might be right. However, many are already willing to take a chance.

I am not under the impression that he will be asked to step down anytime during this season. To be honest I've gotten the impression that he will not be asked to step down after this season. I am and will continue to do what I feel needs to be done for best interest of the JCM program.

Since when is it wrong to voice an opinion. As far as posting information and opinions on this board, thats what its for isn't it? If my program has a coach not worth a flip, I think I'll have the BALLS to say something to other JCM fans and Alunmi about voicing my/our concerns. I have made my opinion known to the AD and administration of JCM. I will continue to make my opinion known and encourage others to do the same. Like I said, Hampton has lived off the talent of his players. Put him as H.C. of Paris and they might win 3 or 4 games. He is not a good head coach and its time for a change. I don't want one more game coached by this man. P.S. Yanker, please stop talking about yourself in the third person.

I don't think its harsh at all. He is the head coach. He is responsible for the health and well-being of the program. As an alumnus of a school it falls on me an other alumni to voice concerns and see that when changes are needed, changes are made. Coach Hampton might have all the football knowledge on earth. If he can't translate that knowledge to a 14-18 year old student, then what good is that knowledge. If he can't maintain a simple discipline over those students, what good is he. I've heard, and this might or might not be true, that he has turned away alumni, parents, and middle school coaches offering to help. If true your/his statement about not being able to find good assistants is bogus. I wish him the best because he is the coach of my school. I will always support JCM. However, I will not sit silent when I feel something is amiss.

Please any JCM alumni reading this board, please call the school and demand a coaching change. After you call Mrs. Crump, call the school board and voice your concern. For the sake of the program we must get rid of this guy. Act now.

It isn't just you. Coach Hampton is clueless. Without a doubt one of the worst coaches in West TN. He has also compiled a staff just as inept as him. These guys are a complete joke. The day he was hired to coach JCM I got a call from a freind in Dyersburg and a couple from friends in Humboldt. They all just laughed and told me what a joke he was. At the time I just dismissed this a trash talk. It didn't take long for me to find out for myself everything they said was true. If JCM doesn't get rid of this guy soon he will run this program into the ground. Dan Bland was they last coach at JCM worth his coaching stipend. The rest have been caretakers at best. Riding the talent that walks down the halls. We can't even teach someone how to long snap. I can't even stand to watch these guys play. I'm so mad I can't type anymore.

The city of Jackson has always owned Rothrock. It was never part of their campus. I couldn't tell you why the post leans, but it has been that way for a couple of years. I think its been that way before the tornado that went through downtown Jackson.

You are wrong. Henry Co. was 10-0 in 1993. They where in 5A and obviously won their region. They received a first round bye in the playoffs and then knocked out in round two by JCM. Sorry, had to throw that in there. They then made the playoffs 5 of the next seven year. So they have won in 5A.

No, I base this not only on the jamboree but the overall condition of the program. Coaching at an all-time low. Enrollment at an all-time low. Discipline nonexistent. The blame should be placed squarely on the shoulders of Mrs. Crump. She is incompetent and should be replaced by a administator in the mold of Tom Cobb. The school is a disgrace compared to years past.

You don't have to worry this year. JCM will not beat you provided they don't greatly improve. We should finish 2nd, wouldn't be suprised with a 3rd or 4th place finish. A team with our discipline could lose almost any game. Sad to say, thats what we've become.

Nobody was dominated. JCM had the ball twice and didn't move the ball. Couple of dropped passes and running game looked bad. The O looked very suspect. D looked OK. Milan had the ball three times scored once. Had a nice 50 yard drive but nothing special. I had hoped JCM's O line would be better after the disaster they were last year, but it appears they aren't.

Congrats to Melrose. That was the worst effort in the second half I have ever seen out of a JCM squad. They completely folded. Melrose you have a great team. JCM line play was not good on both sides after the first quarter. Good season by the Cougars. Good luck Melrose. Bring the gold ball back to Memphis.

You have a right to disagree about drinking at games. I don't have a drug habit and I was just expressing my opinion. Drinking has a negative rep because people abuse or don't no how to drink like a responsible adult. You would never know myself or any others I'm around are drinking at the games. Like it or not all people do not view alcohol the same as you or me. As long as it doesn't effect your rights as a parent, person, or patron at these games, I don't see the problem. Your belief about acohol is exactly that, your belief, and doesn't apply to anyone else.

I find nothing wrong or offensive about drinking at a ball game. Dope is illegal and should be stopped but drinking is perfectly legal if not on school grounds. I drink before, during, and after every football game I attend. That includes JCM games. Nothing wrong with it as long as I do it responsible.

Is Coach Collins still at Riverdale? Is that your rooting interest?

It was a good game. I was suprised JCM was able to win despite the mistakes and lack of mental focus we are having this year. Henry Co. was a good team. Big and disciplined but lacked the team speed of JCM. I'll say this. If JCM played with the disciplined of Henry Co. we wouldn't have lost any games so far and be alittle more confident about a very deep run into the playoffs. Hats off to both teams it was a great game to watch. 14, 52, 1 were outstanding players for ya'll. Question for ya'll why didn't 1 play QB the entire game and is he ok?

Ok, the night edition news was alot less severe. At lunch they made it out like it was a riot. Seems to be just a fight between 8-12 people and a second fight between two girls. Still a pretty big fight.
