If the official considered the elbow to be purposeful then it is considered fighting and it is a technical foul and an automatic ejection. If there was only one technical reported then this is probably what happened. In any other case there has to be two technicals to be ejected.

They should be more competitive in the new district but this is a much weaker district. Columbia has always had the potential to be good but that is the first thing to get a coach fired. Potential that never shows on the field. I'm sure Coach Belew is a great guy but his teams don't produce on the field. They are still going to battle for the second spot behind Lincoln County.

The maximum for football is three total, but most of the time they can work with both freshman and varsity. In Rutherford County they have to be approved by the school and the school board which is kind of crazy. Plus take the TSSAA tests.

Graduated last year, he is playing baseball at Cumberland.

The number of selections depend on how you finish in the region. The coaches nominate and vote on the three top choices and coach of the year. Not sure if there was someone missing off blackman's list.

I am not talking trash because of Shad changing teams, I could care less what the man does. Someone said he was a classy guy but I think different. He very well may be a class act but some of his past players have done some classless things even after games they have won. The way players act is a reflection on the coach.

Totally different set of circumstances. To not do something there would not only be classless it would be heartless as well. I have heard many stories of classless things that have been done by his teams to locker rooms of teams they visit. I have also seen this with my own eyes. Writing and destroying things on boards and walls in locker rooms. The coaches are responsible for checking to make sure things are good before they leave.

That coach from Smyrna you are referencing to just became the OC at Blackman.

I would say it is between Riverdale and Siegel, which ever one does not make the playoffs next season.

Big difference between high school and college bowl games. the main thing is sponsors put up huge amounts of money for naming rights. do you think local businesses will put up thousands of sponsor dollars.

If that happened how would the T$$AA make any money. That is the main reason they added more teams and did away with a first round bye.

You know Robbins has to go why else would they want Shad? Robbins is the best quarterback coach in the region. And remember, who is the next quarterback in line? Strickland's son.

Not just the kids, I think we all need closure after all the speculation.

If there are 3 then only 1 automatic the others have to try for wildcard. Unless they are the top two overall in the region.

So half the posts have ended with "it is a done deal" but there have been different coaches that are the one. If it is such a done deal then what are they waiting for go ahead and announce it.
