WesVols, I am not at the BA game. However, by phone I heard CB's line is dominating on both sides of the ball and BA has had a number of turnovers. BA has generated very little offense. All I know!

This game was much closer than the score indicates. The Centennial girls spent much of the night on the offensive at the FHS end of the field. They had a number of shots on goal, but were only able to score in the first half on a break away goal. It was a hard fought game and the girls from both teams should be congratulated!

With this happening to ETSU, one wonders if we will see other 1-AA & Div. II drop their programs due to money problems? ETSU can't be the only school in TN facing fiscal problems due to the loss of state funding. Let's hope we do not see a snowball effect from ETSU's decision and the lack of state funding. Hopefully, the administration and alumni can get together to resolve their fiscal problems and keep ETSU's program intact. You can't help but feel sorry for the players & coaches.

Congratulations to the freshmen girls of Franklin High School. They won the regular season, the district championship, and the Nashville Metro Tournament. They were undefeated for the year! Things are looking up for girls' basketball at FHS. Again, congratulations!!

Congratulations to both the freshman boys and girls teams at Franklin High School!! Both the boys' and girls' teams were undefeated during the regular season!! They will be playing in a local freshman tournament this coming week.

I definitely think creating separate boards for boys and girls is a good idea. You might even see more activity from girls if they have their own board to post to. When they look at the boards now, they see Spring Soccer which could cause them to think this is a boy's board since boys play soccer during the Spring in TN.

The best kicker in Region 6 5-A would have to be the DeFatta kid from Franklin. His punting helped Franklin with field position a number of times during the season. Even when under pressure, he got his kicks off.

Someone said at the game that the light nonsense happened before in a state playoff game at Gallatin ....any comments The Battle of Franklin was fought in the dark. What was wrong with Brentwood's field or was it Brentwood's Field Lights reportedly working in Brentwood. Too bad Brentwood lacked the confidence to take on Dickson County in the rain. Surprised we haven't heard more about Mr. Ross considering the list of accomplishments (?) you submit. With such a list of credentials, I am sure we will hear much more about him in either the SEC or NFL next year. What colleges are recruiting this phenom?

I was able to see a number of soccer matches in the midstate this year, including district and regional playoffs. The freshman keeper from Franklin, Tayrn Holland, made a number of great saves in the playoffs. In fact, I was surprised when I heard she was a freshman. I imagine we will hear a lot about her over the next few years.
