  1. What was the final score for this game?
  2. What is score of this game? Has game ended?
  3. There is live radio feed on 950 AM, but you cannot stream via the internet. I was able to last week. Is anyone connected to game via internet?
  4. For a number of years, 11AAA has been one of the hardest, if not the hardest, district/region in the state to come out undefeated due to the strenghth of the top 3-4 teams each year. There have been more State Championships won by teams in this district than any other public school district in the state. No other district is even close.
  5. No "dog in the fight", but you consistently pull against Franklin. It was true last year and it appears to be true again this year. Since I truly do not have a dog in the fight, I wish the FRA Lady Rebels the best through the remainder of their season! They have quite a tradition of soccer excellence to build upon. As for the Franklin Lady Rebels, congratulations on a great win! This is one alumni parent that is proud of achievements this year and knows you have the ability to make a run in the playoffs. We have 10 in the bag, now bring back #11. Again, congratulations! It is regrettablle that two fine squads such as Brentwood and Centennial will not advance. They are likely better than some soccer teams that will advance to State. However, you have to win the big games that count to go on. I feel your pain as Franklin met a similar fate the last two years. Nonetheless, kudos to both Brentwood and Centennial for the strong seasons they had!
  6. I asked in an earlier post if she is playing college soccer at Austin Peay as she signed with them in February. Either no one knows or they do not want to say? Is Berigan playing college soccer? If so, where is she playing?
  7. In February 2006, it was reported that Melissa Berigan signed with Austin Peay University, a member of the OVC. However, on the AP website she is not listed on their roster and she is not listed under the team's cumulative game statistics for 2006. Is she at AP? If not, where is she playing college soccer?
  8. In prior years, you could go to the site, www.soccerinfo.com, and find the rankings and records for high schools by state. When you go to that website this year, you continue to see the 2005 rankings and records. I cannot find a listing for 2006. Does anyone know if this website is still active? Has the site changed website addresses? Is there any other site that lists such information for high schools in the state of TN?
  9. Franklin should be fairly solid this year, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Their biggest weakness will be at QB, which has been one of their strengths the past 5 years. It is a good thing Todd Campbell committed early to UT as he may not see much of the football this year. He cannot catch it if the QB cannot get it to him. I predict the Rebels will go with the Nichols kid (Soph?) at QB by mid-season.
  10. How do you update or correct information under Prep Signees and Prospect Database? Also, how do you enter someone under either heading?

    next season

Which school had 4 D1 signees? Who were they and what colleges are they going to?
  12. Hillsboro moves on as the 2nd seed from District 11. Brentwood and Hickman County move on as the 3rd and 4th seeds respectively from District 11. These teams will face Metro Nashville teams (District 12??) in the Region 6 Tournament starting Friday.
  13. For the second year in a row, Franklin Lady Rebels come out of nowhere to beat Brentwood in the semis and Hillsboro in the District Tourney finals. Hugh upset and great win for a great bunch of girls. Great send off for the Seniors!!! Good luck in the Regionals!!
  14. I would also like to know the dates, times, and locations for the regional tournaments. In particular, I am interested in seeing this information for Region 6, which encompasses primarily Davidson and Williamson county schools. Thanks in advance for any information and help! How bout those Lady Rebels from Franklin?! Major upset tonight over Hillsboro!!
  15. Who is the coach for Westview? My daughter plays for Franklin High School and we had Sean Stephenson as our coach last year (for only one year). He was instrumental in our going all the way to Substate before losing to Wilson Central. Considering he was at Franklin only one year, he made quite an impact. Franklin has never been super strong in girl's basketball as soccer is the sport that rules. I think he came to that realization and jumped at the opportunity to leave for a stong basketball program at the end of the season. If Sean is the coach at Westview, I can certainly see where part of their success is coming from. Any program has to have good players to win, but a strong coach can be a real difference maker. I can say we certainly miss him. Oh well, the season is a few weeks from being over and we will move on to college soccer next year. If Sean is your coach, good luck to Coach Stephenson and Westview over the remainder of the season. I will be following your season and look to see your team make the state tournament in Murfreesboro.
  16. If what you have heard is true, it is very regrettable for both Anna and this year's team, particularly the seniors. It she were to get a scholarship offer from UT or any college next year, it would be hard to blame her for not playing her senior year. In the meantime, she could definitely help this year's team. I cannot understand a coach taking such a position. Thus, I hope your information is not true.
  17. Anna Fisher is a great athlete and will be sorely missed by the Centennial basketball team. No doubt she will play at the next level in soccer. However, it is highly unusual for a player like Anna to quit a sport midway through a season regardless of her intentions with regard to soccer in the future. I imagine her high school basketball coach must be disappointed she is no longer with the team.
  18. There is no Confederate flag flying in the Franklin HS gym and in the 7 years I have been involved with the program there has not been such a flag flown in the gym. The gym facility has not been completed. There were numerous team pictures, championship banners, team rosters, etc. that were taken down prior to renovation. This includes the American flag. None of these items have been put back up as the renovation is not complete. As to why the school administation did not have a ROTC honor guard in attendance with the flag to play the national anthem, I cannot say. That question should be asked of the administration. Now, finally, the following is to "givbakr2", whoever you might be. I was at the game in question as I have a child who plays for Franklin. Where you observed the fans turning to the confederate flag during the national anthem I have no idea. This simply did not happen as you alledge. Although you say in your post that, "I don't want to make this a racial issue", that is exactly what I think you are trying to do.....stir things up with your agenda. By the way, I am a Vietnam-era veteran and in no way was I offended by anything that happened that night. By the way "givbakr2, whoever you are, are you a veteran of our nation's armed forces?....I didn't think so.

  21. Where did he play college football as a walk-on? To play at the next level as a walk-on says a lot about him. Playing college football is a job...and a hard one! For one to play college football without a scholarship and work as hard as those guys have to, says a lot about the man's determination and his love for the game.
  22. Due to the crowd and atmosphere at Gallatin, I give them the edge in this game. Over the past four years, Franklin's playoff game in Gallatin in 2002 was probably the most intimidating place they have played. I think Brentwood and the Bruin faithful are going to be in awe of that atmosphere. In addition, there is the "light factor" in Gallatin. Remember the night the lights went out in Gallatin? In that 2002 playoff game, Franklin went up by 21-0 early in the 2nd Quarter when the field lights suddenly went out. Lights could be seen in the areas all aroung the stadium, but the lights were out on the field. After approximately 30 minutes, the lights were back on and there was a total shift in game momentum. Franklin hung on to win 21-14. Again, field advantage definitely gives an edge to the Green Wave! Would love to see the game. Will be a shock to Brentwood!
  23. You'r right, Franklin did lose two state championship games to Germantown. That was two games out of a total of 12 championship games that Franklin played in. Franklin won the other 10 state championship games, including 2000, 2002 and 2003.

    Chuckey-Doak

Actually Flash, you are tiring. Most of your posts are negative and some border on slander/libel. Within the last two weeks, you have accused two teams of playing dirty. You need to let the refs do there jobs. If you do not think they are adequate, file a complaint with TSSAA or.....become a ref and you can right all the wrongs you constantly see occuring on the field. It is obvious you are either an FRA player, parent, or fan. I have a lot of respect for FRA and its soccer program. I do not have any respect for you in light of your posts. If anyone cares to see, go back and look at the posts this individual has made over the past 2-3 weeks. You will very quickly see what I mean. Bottom line....if you can't abstain from such posts, stay off the board. Otherwise, it is my hope that CoachT or one of his monitors will remove you...permanently.
  25. My predictions for first day> Collierville - Veteran team solid on both ends. Tullahoma - Veteran team with plenty of playoff experience versus none for SH. Centennial - Too much firepower with 4 stonger scorers. OR keeper will be busy. Houston - Most physical team at state. Score will be 1-0 Houston.
