All region is of course decided, and all the coaches know who made it. Some coaches tell their teams and others don't. I know that in Lewis County, Coach Sharp likes to keep it a surprise until the banquet. He simply tells the seniors to show up and then invites other select underclassmen. Other coaches may wish to do the same so that's why some know and some don't. We'll all know soon though so it doesn't really matter now.

I have to say that these past few years, Camden has been alot better. Congrats on finally winning in Camden. But Lewis Co. has been doing it alot longer and whether we went to the Quarter-finals or the First Round each year, I can't tell you. But I can tell you when we won the region. I can also tell you that we've never won state. I can also tell you that nobody outside of Lewis Co. and Camden will remember 2003 in a few years and the same will go for Lewis Co.'s loss this year against Ezell (who was just as good as any other team from Region 5). So if you guys want to be remembered for more than just the first Camden team to ever go past the First Round, then you better get a gold ball whether it is a region or state championship. I hope ya'll do well cause I don't like private schools, but if you truly want to be remembered...get a championship along with your play-off games.

Mckenzie didn't come to Lewis Co. in 02. We went to Mckenzie, we weren't undefeated, and we should have won the game...there was no domination whatsoever by Mckenzie. Just a couple of lucky plays went their way and they squeeked out of the game with a win. Of course we all know what actually did happen the next year though, when Mckenzie did come to Lewis Co. and one team did dominate. But it was LCHS that night, not Mckenzie. What does it matter anyway...they are 1A now and there's no chance of us playing each other.

Big win tonight. Great job Panthers!!! We appreciate the congrats from everyone and also, thank you for the comment on our class. We take as much pride in our class and sportsmanship as we do our football. The best of luck to all the teams advancing to the play-offs this week, especially region 6-2. Alot of the time we don't realize how special it is to make it to the play-offs. Cherish it and make the most of your opportunities. Once again, great game by both teams. Camden is definately a good team, and my hat goes off to them for a hard fought game.

ok everybody from Lewis Co. and Camden chill out. you may say "but they started it" but i really don't care who said what first. i only read this stuff 4 or 5 times a year and it drives me crazy. how on earth can anyone say "we are going to beat such and such" when we still have at least 3 weeks before the first kickoff. yes i am from Lewis Co. and i love my town and team. but it is ridiculous to get on here and talk about this nonsense. Camden is going to be good, Lewis Co. will be good, Riverside will be good, everyone else will be good. let's leave the reflecting back on the golden years to those who are too old to play anymore. if you're still strapping up every friday night then go practice or workout or something and stop wasting your time on here talking crap to each other cause no one knows what's going to happen. do i believe in my team? of course i do, if i didn't then there's no sense in me playing. am i going to garentee a victory against someone 2 months from now? of course not! so let's get back to preparing for the season and what we're going to do and spend less time talking about it. good luck to all....i look forward to playing against and seeing some old friends. gee i guess it's too bad our middle schoolers can't play for us huh? cause evidently everyone thinks they would have a better chance. camden is a very good team with lots of skill. there's no doubt in my mind that they should have one last year, and it is likely that this game will resemble that one. i know we'll do our best to advance and i think we will come out on top (i'm a bit bias i guess). good luck to both teams and please...let's concentrate on the talent that's on the field instead of the 12-year-olds standing outside the fence.

here's some info on Lewis County. we're young, lost 18 seniors i believe. but our young players have really stepped up this spring. we have some speed and our line should be tough enough to contend. we're scheduled to scrimmage Lawrence Co., Lexington, Creekwood, and Bruceton. come watch if you'd like, we'll do our best to please. it's gonna be LC football...here we come let's see if you can stop us. we lost alot, but we don't rebuild- we reload. our freshmen class is strong just in case you have heard talk about them. they are good but may not see lots of time this year. i chose Lewis County, mainly because i am from there. i don't know much about our region, but i believe we will do well. i think that Richland could pull an upset on everyone. i've played in freshmen and B-team games against them and the thig is....i played against thei starters during those games. past years they've been young but they're going to have plenty of experience for the next few years. but i still like LC, we're working hard and have better team work and chemistry than the past few years i believe. it should be a good season for this region and good luck to all of you.

Hey does anybody know the scores of Lewis County's games yesterday? They were playing in the tourny over in Adamsville. Just wondering,please tell if you know something about it. Tehy play Summertown and Bradley Central if that helps any.

I would like to say that playing under "Ace" was an honor. I was special enough to be coach even during indiviual O by him since he was the QB coach. i'll always cherish the hours we had together,even though he was usually pointing out how "Supu Dave" was doing it correctly and I wasn't. Not much was said to the all wise "Ernie" Hinson,he always knew what to do. Without him i would have been nothing but a pointless practice dummy. I will agree with goldenboy in saying that "Ace" will be missed on the field even though i'm sure he'll be there on friday nights cause they let the whole town come down there with us!! Anyways...farewell coach and thanks for your years of dedication and hard work.

come on,like that guy said it's human nature to win and complain. trah talking is a part of football and all other sports for that matter. i can't stand hearing reb4life run his mouth on hear but i'm not going to sit here and tell him to shut up. we appriciate the support from the teams in region 5 and we'll do our best to beat mckenzie. but there is no sense in ya'll getting on hear and bad mouthing the team that beat ya'll. if you got beat you got beat oh well. i say keep on with the talking,it gets the teams fired up and mad at each other. that only adds fuel to the fire and makes it a better game. and if you want to see them get beat so bad come out to mckenzie and cheer us on. good luck to mckenzie,hope we don't mess your field up too bad when we celebrate on your 50.
