  1. District 7-AA will sweep and prove it again is one of the districts in the state. Would this be 2 straight years 7-AA swept if it happened?
  2. 1. Head-to-Head 2. Who beat the higher seed 3. coin flip. LA and Upperman split LA beat York x2. Upperman split with York. York is a higher seed than Macon (who split with LA). Thus LA is the No. 1 seed.
  3. I think that's called a "district play-in game" ... meaning the winner will have to win another game to guarantee a region spot.
  4. They would have to probably drop the singles competition if they made it double elimination. Too much bowling for people in both.
  5. They went to 8 teams to keep it like every other sport... baseball, softball, basketball... all have state tournaments involving 8 teams. I don't see them changing that anytime soon.
  6. in football once you hit postseason it's one and done. I wish all sports were like that.
  7. Truth is the TSSAA has shown an interest by adding an individual tournament. If they didn't like it not making money, why add it because now it goes on for three days instead of two.
  8. I guess football, basketball, baseball and softball aren't money makers either because they don't seed their postseason tournaments either.
  9. Do you look at strength of schedule when you look at overall record? What if a team is in a weak district? And if you talk to any bowling enthusiast they will tell you that different places have higher pin averages -- some are simplier to score well than others (especially if you are in an older alley). So, pin averages may not be entirely accurate. With that said, most would say Hixson and Hendersonville are the two best girls teams in the state.
  10. To be the best, you've got to beat the best.
  11. Don't think you can judge a team from one game. Some teams simply match up well with another. I think that is the case with Lincoln Co. and Shelbyville.
  12. Yeah, that's why they are ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AAA.
  13. Maybe everyone should pool in money and have a contest to when someone will be hired?
  14. anyone know how many games the streak is? and what is the longest streak?

  16. Don't they have a coaches' team.. like all-state football team? Of course that has been debated in the football forum for lack of participation. like every all-star team, it can be debated.
  17. Is it me or is that pretty similar to the Tennessean poll, take out the teams they don't cover.
  18. Bradshaw had been an assistant with Coach Head for several years. He was very qualified to coach. If you bring in a new coach you also have to have a teaching position open... Coach Head stepped down, she didn't leave. Maybe they didn't have a teaching slot open.
  19. Golden Tate was the Charles Greenhill player of the year... Award is in its 26th year -- started before there was a Mr. Football award. But it's probably not as prestigious as it once was because of the Mr. Football hype. I would have thought the Coleman kid would have been East Tennessee player of the year

  21. My only question is why come out with an all-county/area team when the season is still going on?
  22. That's funny I went to the game with a friend and I don't remember seeing Goodpasture throwing that much in the second half. Maybe their backup threw 3-4 times.
  23. Why not call them and complain and tell them you don't like it and ask them why your teams/players weren't listed. Tell them why the Mendenhall girl is better than someone else. But I just pulled my paper out of the trash and didn't see any people that I wouldn't mind having on my team.
