  1. VolunteerGeneral, after the tornadoes that have bounced around TN in the last couple of days, the news has mentioned Crockett County a few times up here on the Nashville news channels. We surely hope that everyone is safe and no lives were lost there in Crockett. Robertson County had a scare in the wee hours of Sunday morning when a tornado whirled over our county but didn't touch down until it hit Portland in the neighboring Sumner County. We never want to be as close to one again as we were in 1998 when many, many homes in Greenbrier where pelted with golf-ball size hail as a tornado passed nearby. Everyone in Crockett County is in our prayers that all is well and nothing irreplaceable was lost. And by the way...is it a requirement for Sonic and Subway to be in every little town? We've got those too, here in Greenbrier. But, now....we might be jealous that ya'll got yourselves a DQ [Edited by EZBeingGreen on 11-11-02 11:05P]
  2. Did anyone catch VarsityXtra on UPN this morning? Greenbrier was the "School of the Week" BUT the WH-Tullahoma highlights were this week's "Main Event." Looked like a hard fought, pretty evenly matched game. Sorry it turned out like it did, but Tullahoma looked tough. Kudo's to the Blue Devils for no excuses and their commendations to the Tullahoma team. See ya'll next year! (From the clips I could tell the WH crowd didn't show up as well as they should have...but I DID see that "Rowdy Bunch"!)
  3. Considering Sonic is Greenbrier's ONLY fast food place, maybe we'll splurge and try something different
  4. Way to go Bobcats! You were AWESOME tonight. What a shutout! We are all so proud of you...you've done what no other Bobcat team has done before!
  5. Sorry to hear this, White House. We Bobcats were certain the Devils would pull this one off without a hitch. You guys have had one great season. [Edited by EZBeingGreen on 11-8-02 10:44P]
  6. Wow! Thanks for the confidence in the Bobcats!
  7. I see from the Big Ones that you are right alot of the time...I sure hope that crystal ball is working Friday night when Greenbrier hosts our first round!!
  8. I am not sure the proper avenue in which to send this article but I hope Coach T will consider posting this on the homepage (at least for "15 minutes of fame"). Our Greenbrier Bobcats have played in the last 9 playoffs but this is our first time ever to play first round host. The community is proud of our team...please read on.. http://www.rctimes.com/archive/2002/11/110602_ghshome.html
  9. It's EZ being Green! Go Bobcats! [Edited by EZBeingGreen on 11-6-02 11:18P]
  10. Repeating Coachhard, I don't believe you will find our Greenbrier team taking anything for granted, but will play with class and sportmanship. Our team has come through tough seasons and are proud, just as their fans are, that they have played with heart that has resulted in their standings. As it has already been said, Football is an important part of school sports, but if we all remember that it IS "just a game" and as long as everyone comes through injury-free, we will be blessed. Chad Williams, his family and friends will be in our prayers as he begins this unexpected journey in his life. God's plan for him is yet unknown to us, but I feel that Chad's unforunate injury will somehow touch lives like a ripple on a pond, and he will be a shining example for not only his friends, but for all who have heard his name. Good luck to both Greenbrier and Lexington...may the best team win.
  11. Advocate...I'm sure I speak for anyone associated with the Greenbrier schools when I say your wishes mean alot to us all. Best wishes to White House too...we know ya'll do good! (SOME year...we're going to get ya!)
  12. Good luck Bobcats! You boys have done great and have played like a team this year (and several of you who have played together for many past years) and all that is needed to proceed in the playoffs is hard work, focus and determination. There are so many names that come to mind when I think of how hard this team has worked for this coming week. Keep up the good work! The entire Greenbrier community is behind you.
