  1. Once Monday night, that I saw.
  2. I hope you are not from Temple.
  3. In 2000, Ezell-Harding had probably the best team put together in single A in a long time. They just couldn't win the state championship.
  4. The state tournament is most usually always played out differently than most think. I remember a few years ago when Ezell Harding one of the BEST teams that single A basketball has every put together and their fans kept saying how they were going to win it all only to be put out. So, I am just telling you that it will be hard to win it all for anyone.
  5. I agree 100%. Like I told someone the other day, I would take 5 of him and play any single A team in the state. He may not be real tall, but is very smart on the court. I bet he has a very high shooting percentage. At least the games I have seen. Anyway, I like the chemistry of this PC team. They are fun to watch. No dunks, but quick and good shooters.
  6. Nice post...and I am not just saying that because I am a PC fan. That earns respect. You got mine.
  7. PC was on fire, but they have played well overall this season. I have seen much basketball to know that if some team is good, then they tend to make the other look like they had an 'off' game.
  8. Actually, Pickett Co. is 9-0 at home in sub-state games but have won 10. They beat Chattanooga Christian in 2000 on Nathan Aaron's game winning 3pt basket at a Chattanooga Campus to send them to the state tournament.
  9. Reg 4A...I was hoping Clay Co. would win, but congratulations to a good season. I know you guys will be tough for the next couple of years.
  10. I thought grace shoot a pretty high percentage (from 3 pt land) but then again they didn't shoot that many shots. #44 and #10 for Grace, I thought could have taken it to the hoop more, but they didn't until later on in the game. Grace looked slow, but then again PC boys did help them look slower, PC was explosive tonight. They were clicking....I was impressed with PC.
  11. Pickett Co. beats Grace by 20. PC looked good from the tip until the end.
  12. I haven't seen Temple play but I know that if Clay Co. plays hard right from the tip-off and not get down by 10 or more points then this should be a great game. I hope Clay Co. wins by the score of 64 - 59.
  13. Pickett Co. last went to the state tournament in 2002. If they make it this year they will have made it 10 of the last 15 years, winning in 1990, 1995. State runner-up in 1993. On a side note PC fans....Pickett won their first(1990) home sub-state game and won the state. They won their 5th(1995) home sub-state game and won the state.....Their 10th(2005) home sub-state game is Monday night....will they will win the state again? Notice the trend....every 5th home sub-state game they win they go on to win the state. Hope so.
  14. If PC can make #33 drive to his right and make #14 shoot the 15-16 footer instead of the 5 footer, then I believe that Pickett Co. may win. If Bailey is cold, then the team usually feeds off his performance and PC will be heading to Chattanooga Monday night. But I think PC by 7. PC - 71 CC - 64.
  15. I agree. I know PC is 9-0 at home hosting substate games. And I know that Clay Co. will be tough to beat at home if they win.
  16. Clay Co. does have heart and are worthy of PC's respect. It is hard for me to say that since I am from PC. But pride aside, CC has alot of heart and I wish them the best. PC, you need to win to play at home. 9-0 substate record at home. 0 wins - substate record away. That being said, it is very hard to make it to the state tournament going on the road. PC it has been ten years this March since we last won a state championship. I think it is about time to add a gold ball to the collection.
  17. I am going to say that the winner of this one will make it to the State Tournament.
  18. Pickett Co. wins big against Westmoreland. 58-39. Pickett Co. plays Clay Co. (I believe, I left with about 3 mins left and Clay Co. was doing well) for region 4A Championship and a chance to host the sub-state. PC should be ready to play this time around. PC players take away Clay Co.'s #33 left side, he always drives left. And Number 40 always fakes to the middle and shoots the opposite way.
  19. Pickett Co. wins big over Westmoreland 58-39 I believe.
  20. If the 3 point line was indeed moved back, then the same probably would apply only with lower shooting percentages. I believe removing the three is the only way people would not shoot them, but I am against that. I like the three point basket, gives everyone a chance.
  21. I agree 7A is tough. 7A has pretty much dominated Region 4A for the last 20 years.
  22. I have to disagree, most teams in 7A do not live and die by the 3. Granted some take more 3 point shots than others, but that is because those teams are good and usually have a lead. But to live and die by the 3, don't think so.
  23. What time does Pickett Co. and Westmoreland play tonight? Thanks
