Ms. Bee You said you are a teacher. Do you remember Coach D. the biology teacher girls bb coach and former anouncer and assistant to Coach Ford in football. I to am a former teacher- figured out real quick the kids were toooooo smart for me and I bailed out while the gettin was good and I didn't do them to much damage. But I have that special place for the kids and teachers in my heart. By the way Coach D is kinfolk. Many other teachers in the family as well. Keep up the good work we need more examples like you.

I think queenie should be president. She does a great job sticking up for whats right on these post. She doesn't put people or schools down and she tries her best to keep others on tract. People get way out of line here since they cannot be seen or identified and they won't even leave their hometowns where at least they can be identified as agitators or real fans. Does the term cowards ring a bell or is this a childish remark. Keep up the good work queenie I'm a big fan and you make me really appreciate Smith Co. even though I a Troutdale fan .

Yes queenie we all in the same boat with our Fri's like they are. We are deeply saddened by the loss in Smith Co. and our thoughts and prayers have been for the school,communities, and most of all the families. God has a reason and they are safe in his kingdom.

I agree Vol. Gen. that Trousdale would have been in 2A but due to the schools around TC being 3A they opted to go to 3A for economic reasons. Of course Lip & Goodpasture would have probably been in the region but they are on par year to year with the other privates and it has been our experience that TC would have better game attendance with Portland, Smith Co. and Macon Co. along with some other traditional oponents from the area. Trousdale is very low budget school system as are other small rural areas and no monies are given to the athletic dept. The facilities are the result of a hard working quarterback club in better days when the Tobacco Bowl drew capacity attendance and close management by Clint with the gate. The concessions go to the Jr. class for the following year as seniors. This is why the athletic dept is so concerned with attendance. One bad weather game at the wrong time will result in as much as a 25% or more decline in the season budget. Yes attendance is good at the playoff games but they barely break even at best. The only other income is the jamboree and it isn't real big with so much competition from the others.

Correction Vol. Gen. Trousdale went from 1A to 3A and were never in 2A. This was their decision and they have 370 students in grades 9-12 where does that place the school. Again Trousdale was never listed in 2A as far as anyone knows.

To bilcot. Trousdale Mr. Footballs Chad Evitts --All American at Tenn Tech -Top lineman OVC as senior- Very close to finishing his degree after signing with Pittsburg Steelers and surviving to last cuts. Michael Scruggs. Played one year in Junior College in Miss. where was outstanding but being a local boy didn't care for life as football player and wanted peace and tranquility of country life with family. Many of us should be brave enough to make such a wise decision.

Wonderful for such an unselfish little guy to succeed so big.I guess 02 forgets that this award has nothing to do with college for if it did they would give it after their college days. As for bilcot Clint doesn't have tobacco and there are hundreds of us farm kids that grew up to be respectable citizens and taxpayers with our toil in tobacco patches and the lessons learned through the hard work would have served many others quite well. I am truly thankful for the lessons learned and the humbleness derived from our humble but respectful way of life. We all should be so lucky. God Bless T.T. in whatever he chooses to expend his energies as I am sure with his strict upbringing by Cedar his father it will be honorable.

Good luck Falcons. You'll not have any trouble with Ridgeway because they just beat Portland by 21-0 and Portland is young this year and fell on hard times. You'll be helping Trousdales tradition by winning as the only team to beat us in 13 of the last 14 years in the playoffs has been the state champion. So keep our record intact as the way to the state championship goes through Trousdale County!!!!!!!

Gongratulations to Fulton on a great win. You stayed in it to the last and made a great call on the 2 pt. To tell you the truth I am real happy with our (TC's) play. We are extremely fortunate to be able to compete with such great talent. Of course we are used to seeing good talent but not this much. Maybe sometimes in the private schools. As for the discussion about the talking at the dressing rooms after the games. I'm sorry but all I heard was some "friends" from some neighbors that don't care for us acting like they will never have to see us again acting like children. I though the Fulton people were real nice and of course they were excited to win as we would have been also. I didn't hear any bad comments from either side and I stayed till everyone had left at the dressing rooms. Someone is making up comments to post and that is not be good to those of your fans who are nice. Poor childless action. So go Fulton and continue Trousdales tradition of only losing in the playoffs to the eventual champ 13 of the last 14 years. Top that for tradition as the championship still goes thru TROUSDALE COUNTY YELLOW JACKETS!!!
