You are about to find out York is not the same team on the road. Marion lost by 2 td's at home. There's no way Marion will win at YAI. They also had several starters out that are back now.

SC has a very tough defense too. The offense is starting to click too. It should be a very good game...again.

Gee...imallin...you know Westmoland only cares about the regular season. They don't care about the playoffs. It looks like they will be home after this week. They won't get another shot at SC or YAI.

Those teams would have gotten in anyway. There would have been another team from that region to get in under the old system.

I wonder if the kid that got thrown out is a senior. I don't think he is. If not...he will have to sit out a game...either bowl...or the 1st game next season. It was a very cheap shot. There were others. I don't ever remember seeing a Cannon County team do that before. The only problem I had with the pa guy is the screaming during our signal calling. The refs should have stopped that. Other than that...he is very entertaining to listen to. It spiced up a relatively lopsided game. Cannon just couldn't stop SC's offense. Everything was open all night...even for the 2nd teamers late in the game. Young is a good ball player. He is fast...and runs hard. He took some wicked shots in the game.

It is intended to cut down travel. It will certainly do that. I really don't mind the region rematches in the 1st round. We have had region rematches in the 2nd and 3rd round most years anyway. CPA is paying for their non-region losses. That's just where the chips fell this year. That is the chance you take with scheduling very tough non-region games. If we are fortunate enough to beat Boyd...we will have to go back to York in the 2nd round. We have a 2nd place team...Boyd...in the 1st round. For us...everything is moved up on game.

If Humboldt had gotten in...or any other team in the west had...GP would have gone to the mideast. Since Marion...and Sweetwater are likely in...there's no way Goodpasture will go mideast.

It appears that is where they will be. They are the easternmost team from region 5...so I would think they will go east.

I haven't seen to many pa guys yelling when the opposing team was calling signals since the stupid announcer thread Del had on here a couple of years ago. I love to hear him...but that is bush league.

Richland is the #8 seed because they are the wild card. Fairview is a 3 seed so they would be 7th.

Goodpasture will go west.

Crockett lost. Goodpasture is ahead of Hickman.

I am sure there are several that can swing the brackets. Which games will do that? I realize there some of these games are locks. 1. Smith County at Cannon County 2. Upperman at York 3. Sequatchie County at Marion County 4. Humboldt at Gibson County 5. Crockett County at Dyer County 6. Fairview at Loretto 7. Jackson County at Westmoreland 8. CPA at Goodpasture 9. DCA at Ezell Harding 10. Sweetwater at Oliver Springs 11. Boyd at Tyner

Humboldt is not out...but they have to have help from Crockett. Even if Crockett wins...it will still be very close as to whether they will get in. All opponents wins and losses have to be figured in. Sweetwater and Marion are locks to win tonight. Both will have 5 wins. Both will have 1 win over a team with 50% or more wins. It would come down to total wins by opponents. If Cannon County wins...they would have 6 wins. They would be in for sure. If Upperman wins...they would have two wins over teams with 50% or more wins. That would put them ahead of Sweetwater...Marion...and Humboldt.

It's 50% or more...not more than 50%. That win will likley put Marion in and Cannon out. That win was huge for Marion. Jamestown is farther east than Chattanooga. Look at your map. As far as scouting...it will be a difficult task to determine who you are going to play.

Some 3-6 teams are better than some 9-1 or 8-2 teams. There's not a good way to seed teams accurately. You should be rewarded for finishing higher in a region. I don't have a problem with that.
