they will be destroyed this week by jeff, who just beat morr. west. but there is a rumor out that scooter and carson will not be able to play next week because of an altercation with a west player. if this holds true, DB will probably win. but that's o.k. DB will have to meet them again in the playoffs. jeff is still a much, much, much better team than DB.

Instead you think just because you are a member of coacht.com that you have the right to belittle my husband because of his personal opinion about a football game. dude, did your read ctsports post? nobody has ever talked to me or anyone else like that on this board. i know him personally and don't understand why he is being this way. make no mistake, i will deal with him. in my opinion, he doesn't like the fact that jeff is favored to beat west by all the sportswriters in east tn, like the kingsport times, johnson city press, knoxville news sentinel, and even the sportswriters at the tribune. personally, i'm not sure that jeff will win after i watched their practice monday, but i heard they have had some excellent practices since then. anyways, special teams with be the deciding factor in this game.

hey, who do you all think are a couple of teams in 5a that are creepers. in my opinion, dickson co & gallatin could steal the show this year from the top favorites like riverdale, oak ridge, jeff co, etc... throw your thoughts out there.

dude, i'm not bashing anybody. i just find it so hard to believe with hs kids that any sports program could be so successful year-in-year-out. i'm sure i'm wrong about the supplement abuse (never said they did, just heard stories--rumors; read my original post). but why put me down for being supicious. thomas had a very hard time in believing that Christ had risen from the dead. i know that's a dumb analogy, but anyways maryville is just an unbelievable football team. might i add that most people find it entertaining to watch a powerhouse get knocked off, and i'm looking forward to the day when they finally feel the pain of defeat. remember it's only a sport, no harm.

"i don't like riverdale." concerning jeff co i watched them practice the other day and was very dissapointed in their work ethic. they only beat a team 34-10 last week, which they should have won by 50. this should have motivated them but it didn't. maybe they had a bad day monday; i don't know. but if they don't wake up all that talent will go to waste. anyways, i've done my research, and there is no way lincoln co can match-up with riverdale. i've seen these kind of match-ups before. in short, lincoln will be killed by riverdale's quickness and speed. also, i never said lincoln wasn't any good; it's just not a favorable match-up for them. i'm sure they will have a fine season. but i promise you that they are going to get spanked badly, period. in closing, this only a opinion; respect mine, and i will respect yours.

this poll is a big freaking joke. i don't see how riverdale could be the underdog. get real people. i don't like riverdale at all. i'm dying to see someone start putting an end to their streaks. they've been on top way to long; it's time for a change. but it wont happen this friday. there is no way that lincoln county's raggdy offense can score more than 14 against riverdale's well-conditioned, very fast, highly motivated defense. lincoln's offensive line is big and very slow. riverdale's linebackers and strong safety will spend half the night in lincoln's backfield. i promise you that the falcons will have no more than 50 yards rushing and probably no more than 100 passing and half of that will come in the 4th qtr. anyways, many people are going to be very dissapointed for missing the oakland v. franklin game; that one should be a dandy with lots of high scoring, with franklin coming out on top by a td in my opinion. prediction: riverdale 34 lincoln county 7. wake up lincoln fans; it's not going to happen. don't get mad at me for laying out the facts.

hey, talking about a team making drastic improvement it has to be the morristown east hurricanes. i'm predicting them to finish 10-0 (laugh all you want to) and fall to the trojans in the qtr finals. they have good team speed, better than the trojans; they have very good quickness, better than the trojans, especially in the line; they have a big strong, quick qb who has great accuracy and a quick release, better than minnich; they have several good receivers, that are much better than the trojans; they have good quality running backs, that are better than the trojans; they have a great new coach that has the players believing and wanting to play, probably not as good as woods yet; and most importantly they an intense to hunger to win, about the same as west. furthermore, they have a very favorable schedule that is suited for a team that is on the upswing. the only team that is close to their talent is of course morr. west; however, east has a much, much better qb and also a whole lot better wr's, especially #4. they have too many weapons for west to handle, especially in the early season. in the regular season, east 33 west 24. however, i don't believe they can win the big game in the play-offs, not yet. qtr finals--west 20 east 13. but, hey, not even don woods turned west around this fast. in his first year they finished 7-4, right? my hat is off to you morr. east. and the hurricane fan that said he is glad that they are playing jeff this year, i'm not so sure that played in the favor of east because if jeff would have overlooked east in the least bit the hurricanes would have probably pulled off a mild upset on the patriots. congradulations. now, it's time to punish the trojans and take back the city championship; it's very much in your grasp.

greeneville has nothing this year. they just took out their frustration on lowly crockett. morr. west, morr. east, volunteer, and cherokee are going to put a whipping on the green devils. ha, they wont be going to the play-offs this year either. oh, it is good to see them have a losing season. they have no class whatsoever, period.

hey, you all scrimmaged jeff co about a month ago. in your personal opinion, how good did they look to you, and do they have what it takes to go all the way? your opinion will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

well, i guess what makes me wonder is the aggressiveness of maryville's players. i mean everytime that i've watched them their like possessed animals that have the intelligence of einstein. they come at you harder than any other team that i have ever watched in hs football. it's so hard to believe that any coach or program could get this kind of play from kids, especially ever year. anyways, please forgive me for being a little supicious of maryville. i don't like to admit it, but their teams over the last few years have been the best i've ever seen. oh, as for this year, what do you think is maryville's weakness, and do you think central will beat them?

hey, i would like to get your take on who you think would win if riverdale & maryivlle played. me, last year i would have taken maryville; this year riverdale with ease. oh, is anybody looking at #5 for oakland; he looks like he would pretty freaking physical?
