first, i know we have had our differences. i would like to extend an apology to you because i realize i've been a jerk quite often. i really don't mean any harm. anyways, i like your contest and would like to have a fair chance of being in the top three. however, given the fact that i didn't start until the second week, i feel that i'm at a disadvantage. idea, what would think about giving people like me a chance to catch up by giving me eight games to predict. of course these would be from games of your choosing. i think this would be fair. if not, i still appreciate the fact that you allow me to compete in your competition.

uh, you all better ready for maryville. they made you all look so weak last year in both games. even if jeff beats you, it wont be by much. anyways, do you want to get beat again by 42. say what you will, but NO GOOD TEAM SHOULD EVER GET BEAT THAT BAD. so what is your excuse? you can't find one, period.

hey, you don't have to call me a fool. i hope you don't know what the bible says about someone calling another person a fool. anyways, i just think it's very hard to believe that any high school can be productive as maryville without some kind of supplement. remember these only 15-18 kids you're talking about. and if you know anything about kids you know they change their mind from moment-to-moment.

speed is a good asset, but i rather have quickness. i know guys who only run a 4.7 but are very quick, especially out of the hole. these guys are much more productive than someone who runs a 4.4 and lack the ability to change direction as fast the guy who only runs a 4.7. do you agree?

carter by 14. carter should be able to take 3rd or 4th place honors this yr. look for them to beat powell & halls.

but what can you expect from 16-18 yr olds that don't have strong structure?

well, for one they had no consistent drives against campbell co. all of their tds came from big plays or they were set up by big plays. they had no turnovers and didn't punt but still only managed 5 tds. they have looked horrible in practice this week. i don't understand who they think are. they are getting ready to face two well coached teams in the next two weeks and are yet complacent. i still say they are a much more talented team than west or DB. however, after they get beat badly by west this week look for DB to put the nail in the coffin. maybe then they will wake up.

riverdale 17 lincoln co 7 (riverdale's defense is way too fast for lincoln co's big slow offensive line to handle).

oh, and before you kill me, jeff co is in trouble. they have 72 players and talent galore but the players are becoming lazy. they beat a team this past friday night 34-10. they should have been able to beat them 60-0. they had no turnovers and didn't have to punt once. all of their scores came on big plays from scooter or jennings. they didn't have one consistent drive that resulted in a td. i'm real dissapointed in them; and unless some drastic changes are made, i look for them to finish 8-2 and make an early exit from the play-offs.

oakland is fairly quick. i thought they would get worn down, but their speed got them out to quick lead.

your right. and i'm glad oakland2001 allows me to participate in the predictions. anyways, what is your take on oakland's small numbers? i heard they have only 28 or 29 that can suit up after a couple of injuries.

the only thing they will prove is that they are short-handed. it will really show in this game. oakland may tied or ahead at half but will get blown out in the second half. it's called fatigue my friends.

well, with the numbers they have, what around 30, and getting beat so badly, what was i to think?

how about percentage? as of now mine is 83; those in 3rd is 78. do you think that is fair. oh, what is your response to what i said about oakland's depth?
