how is this so? i have said that morr. west will be a serious contender to bring home the goldball and maybe finish 15-0. at a time not long ago i talked highly of DB's chances of winning a state title in 2004. however, characters like bud, dafuture4all, etc... began to get on my nerves. all they base their arguments on is tradition. if you don't have talent, tradition won't carry you that far and you sure can't reload just on tradition. i've seen this at all levels in football--dallas, washington, miami fla, penn st, nebraska, jeff co, rhea co, etc...

there is no correlation between making people mad and intelligence.

i call what i see, and you say i'm an idot. well, i'm entitled to my opinion. i don't jump on bandwagons like 80 percent of sports lovers do. anyways, if you choose to attack my intelligence and character, then you need to do so face-to-face. if not, keep your mouth shut!

what your saying makes no sense. words cannot transpire average players into great ones. in the past, DB has had very good athelets; however, they are very few if any this yr, saving for lamon williams. and when you don't have ammunition to reload, all you can do is hope that the enemy once again believes that you still have plenty. but i'm here to confirm that DB's ammunition packs are a couple of yrs away. so DB better hope that firing blanks can save their season.

let me tell you something about this word "always". it is 100 percent not logical. you DB people think that you are above realism; well, let me tell you something it adversity is coming, either this yr or someday. oh, and i'm willing to put up what ever you want to say jeff co is not only going to beat DB this yr, they are going to destroy them. there will be no doubt to who is #1 in region 1 this yr, Jefferson County.

think what you will. but DB won't be contending for the state title. i've heard enough of this crap. i promise you that DB won't win the state or even win region 1. i'm tired of all the talk; lets put our money where our mouth is. just say when and where and how much.

uh, i guess it's time to face reality. your right about jeff. they are going to get hammered by DB and several other teams. it wouldn't surprise if jeff wins a game. look for DB to beat them by 35, science hill to beat them by 28, sevier co to beat them by 21, bearden to beat them by 21, south doyle to beat them by 14; the karns & campbell co are a toss-ups. as for as out of the region games, jeff will lose to morr. west by at least 35 & rhea co by 14-21; they might be able to beat cocke co if they get lucky. so if jeff has a good yr they just might finish 3-7 but i seriously doubt it. look for them to finish 0-10. why? for one, coach meadows is a big joke and has never accomplished anything, and jeff jennings & scooter houston are the biggest jokes to ever walk on the football field. i bet jeff jennings sr paid vanderbilt millions of dollars to get them to want jeff jennings; it's the only logical reason. as for as jeff co returning 15 starters from last yrs 9-4 qtr finalist team, that was just a big fluke. the refs were bought off and many of the schools they beat were paid millions of dollars to allow jeff co to beat them. heck, jeff co is so bad that i could get 40+ yr old men that are out of shape and that have never played a game of football in their life and beat them with ease. i have a great idea: i think we need to persuade jeff co high school to abolish their football program before they make their school look even worse. i hope this makes you feel better; maybe you can get some sleep now that you know the real truth.

time will tell. but i betting against you. furthermore, i bet most west players would think your really stupid in saying west will beat jeff again by 20-30 pts. i think they know they will be facing one of jeff's best teams ever.

well, just sit back and watch. jeff co & west are by far the strongest teams in regions 1 & 2. all i can say is that east is glad to have taken jeff co off their schedule; if not, that's two whippings on the lowly hurricanes. oh, why don't you east players persuade the coaches to trash those cheesy uniforms. they are unbecoming.

i'm sorry i didn't know riverdale & lincoln play. well, riverdale will finish 8-2. i'm still saying blackman is going to be a kicka.. team by the end of the season and will knock off lincoln co in round 1.

the fact of the matter is that clouldand doesn't play any competition that's worth mentioning and beating on weak, weak programs makes you feel good. however, keep cherokee on your schedule, and in about 2 yrs that will beat you back-to-back so bad that you will never want to talk smack again. cherokee has been down for a few yrs, but they have talent galore in their fr & soph classes. get ready for a beating.

hey, your sr class has probably made great strides and has worked hard for 3 yrs. but remember this, so has jeff co's sr's. remember how they manhandled you as fr. granted, fr football has nothing to do with varsity, but if both classes stay together and do the things mentioned above the outcome will more than likely be the same. why? because jeff's sr class is so much more talented than DB's and want nothing less than to get jeff's first win over DB since the formation of region 1.

to your first question, yes. if bearden can get off to a good start they could finish 2nd in the region or even knock jeff co out of 1st place. what bearden needs is quick improvement in each of its scrimmages next month. however, don't get discouraged with who wins the scrimmages or even if you get beat badly the first one, just make good strides from one to the next, and by the time the season begins you should be ready. don't let DB scare you; bearden is catching them at a vulnerable time. they have no offensive line; their qb has no experience; they have no linebackers with any experience. furthermore, they have one of their weakest sr classes ever. we beat them 30-0 our fr yr; it could have been 50-0. while some people say that this doesn't matter, i disagree. heck, our fr team had never beaten them, so imagine how we felt beating them for the first time and with ease.

You can't even carry on a conversation!! You said that Sevier County will beat them. That would have to be regular season. Jeez....use that rock you call a brain and think before you type! What are you talking about, they can still make the playoffs with a loss in the regular season. I think someone else needs to use their rock (or if you want to call it a brain thats fine with me). i think you two should stop fighting over whos going to win and whos not. because its an easy conclusion...sevier co. has a history of winning and now there in a rebuilding stage. and for that matter jeff co. always says their going to be great and end up getting waxed in the playoffs. so all and all sevier co. is the choice for winner. and as for you guys making fun of each others brains..get a life, thats for four year olds............. i don't understand how sevier co people think they might beat jeff this yr. i mean jeff has beaten them the last 2 yrs, and this yr will be by far jeff's best team in about 15 yrs. so what's up with that? anyways, jeff over sevier co by 26. Potential wise, nobody competes with Jeff in our region except for DB. On the other hand, doesn't UT always have the ungodly potential every preseason? Like I said a few months ago, I enjoy competing agaisnt the likes of Jeff, but it does suprise me that you would make a bold statement about a 26 point pounding. If you were a bookie you would starve and your kids wouldn't have any shoes.....go ahead and give us the spread on the rest of the region games: DB- Bearden- South Doyle- Karns- Science Hill- Campbell Co- jeff over DB by 28 (the first half will be close however, something like 14-7. but in the second half jeff pulls away quickly 35-7). jeff over science hill by 14 (this will be a realively tough game for jeff; they matched up pretty good with jeff, but jeff has too many weapons for them). jeff over bearden by 10 (bearden will be a very good team by the end of the yr; if jeff over looks them, look for bearden to pin the first or second w on jeff). jeff over sevier co by 26; jeff's speed will be way too much for sevier co to handle. jeff over south doyle by 35 jeff over karns by 35 jeff over cambell co by 35 jeff's other games: jeff over rhea co by 17 jeff even morr west jeff over cocke co by 21

science hill has a very weak sr class but a very strong soph & jr class. their jr & soph class will makeup about 16 of the starting positions. they will probably finish very strong this yr, probably around 6-4 and make the playoffs as a 3rd or 4th seed from region 1. they could finish as high as 2nd if DB fails to develop. the jr class has several skill players and some very good linemen. the soph class should complement the jr class quite well with some quality defensive players. look for science hill to compete for the regional championship in 2004.
