  1. I'll be waitin' for you at the house at 1pm with mustard in hand.
  2. CC- 24 GB- 21 I'm kind of like you, big p... it could be a much higher scoring game. I have a feeling it will be close regardless.
  3. Before this is all over. Craig, we may have to hook up Brandon's big grill behind the Explorer or RV. BTW, there was plenty of mustard left over from last week that I can bring.
  4. Looks like the wife will let me out Friday night (plus I don't want to go deer hunting in 70 degree weather, even if it is opening day). So, save me a seat in the RV or Explorer and I'll pitch in on food and gas. Craig, I know I didn't pitch in on the hot dogs last week, but I did bring the mustard.
  5. GBT57- You sounded a little like Rick Flair... you just needed to let out a WHOOOOO at the end>
  6. pretty funny there COACHHARD Craigcoc, jshanes, beans- It looks like I'll be ridin' with you fellas up to the game. I'll confirm my reservation tonight.
  7. It is kind of funny to think that it was only 7 years ago when our school board was looking at the idea of doing away with football all together. How quickly things can change.
  8. GreenbrierCat2- Trust me, you have the respect of most Crockett Co. fans. No one should be over looking the bobcats. To be honest, I wish this thread would just die out...I think this topic has been beat to death. No one at this point can be called overrated or should be overlooked. Looking foward to a great game.
  9. Sorry Craig, It's my calling As to my time on the board, former cav... I spend my lunch checking on the board. Are you going to make it to the game?
  10. Sorry I got off subject there craigcoc...
  11. Pancho Villa was a leader during the Mexican Revolution in the early 1900's. He at one point attacked a town across the border in Texas. We sent troops after him but never located him. History teacher? yep...Am. History.
  12. Please tell me your kidding: Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys- Revolutionary War/Fort Ticonderoga(1775) Davy Crockett and the defenders of the Alamo v/s General Santa Ann and the Mexican Army- Texas Independence from Mexico (1836)
  13. This is the cry from two Crockett fans on the boards...not the majority!
  14. The history teacher in me had to make a correction: General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ann attacked the Alamo...Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys attacked Fort Ticonderoga in the American Revolution. Poncha Villa was a Mexican revolutionary fighter in the late 19th century-early 20th century.
  15. jshanes- Doesn't look to good for me making the trip this weekend but don't give away my seat in the RV yet. I'll up date you as soon as I know for sure. For anyone (crockett or geenbrier fans) that can't make it to the game, click over to www.crockettfootball.com to hear it over the internet. From the posts I am seeing from Greenbrier fans it sounds like we are very evenly matched...should be a great game.
  16. "No trash talking; do that somewhere else" I hope that everyone will read your disclaimer before posting this week, criagcoc. Looking foward to a great football game this Friday.
  17. Good question, bean. By the way, enjoyed tailgating with ya'll last night.
  18. QB Craig Massey of Crockett Co. who guided the Cavaliers to an undefeated season has to be mentioned.
  19. well said...Ya'll be careful coming down and we'll see you tomorrow night. It should be a great game.
  20. Just a quick testament to the character of Diaz from Crockett Co. The Monday after the loss to Ridgeway at the end of last season was a miserably cold, wet day. One of the assistant coaches was sitting in the field house and heard a constant thud outside. He looks out the door and sees Diaz working on his field goals. There maybe those with more talent, but there can't be anyone more dedicated to making himself better that this young man.
  21. Congratulations to both Williams and Diaz on this well deserved honor. This is the second year in a row that Crockett has had two Mr. Football finalists, if I am not mistaken. That says a lot for the young men on this football team and it's coaching staff.
  22. RW has been on visits to Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Auburn. Somebody must be impressed.
