How long has this Colton Taylor been hurt? Did he play in your game against Chester County? How does this Lexington team compare to what we saw three years ago? They were 12-0 and supposedly the fastest team you could ever want to face. As it turned out, maybe they weren't really as fast as they thought they were. Fast by West TN standards won't work here. JSS found that out against Page last Friday.

I look for this one to be over by the mid second quarter. The score will get no worse from that point forward though. Lipscomb by 35 or so. I also look for a clean sweep of district 5 teams over the district 6 teams. Page is the only one that might struggle some. Their coaching staff is good though and there are some quality athletes. They just have to play the best team from that district. Still look for them to win. Lots of luck to the district 5 teams.

My hat is off to Giles County. Your coaches had a great game plan. They saw that game plan last year when we played Bolivar in the playoffs. I know because I was sitting beside your prior year quarterback, who was sitting with your coaching staff. Your coaching staff never waivered from the plan, unlike Bolivar. The only problem with the plan is it requires decent defense, which we did not see Friday night. DL averaged 13.2 yards a play on their 26 plays. They had five scoring drives which did not average two minutes a piece. The only reason you were close is that our defense struggled with a much bigger line. You will not find a smaller AAA defense than DL; but, will you find a quicker or faster one either. Your coaches knew the only way to hang was run at them because you cannot run around them. Your quarterback played an awesome game. Giles only really made one mistake. The fumble on the kickoff. Before that, all the mistakes had been by Lipscomb. If you remember correctly, your 11 minute drive to start the third quarter should have ended on a three and out. Lipscomb had the facemask call, when you would have been punting on about 4th and 12. DL also had a movement penalty on 4th and 6 inches in the first half that cost us possession of the ball at a time when we hadn't even been slowed down. Those are uncharastic penalties by Lipscomb. You question the call of kicking off a second time. Unfortunately, for you it was the right call. The call that brought it back was offside on Giles Co. That is not a declineable penalty; thus, dead ball. The officials mistake was when they did not blow the play dead immediately. If DL had missed that second extra point, I doubt we would have so much quibbling. The Lipscomb people that sat around me took no offense at Giles Co. cheering on the play when Zach got hurt. Most of us did not know he was hurt either. If I hadn't seen his dad go down to the field, I wouldn't have known. He is not on the kickoff team. Randy Rogers told me he just collided with somebody trying to block on the kickoff. He did not even have the ball. Good luck with Marshall Co. when that comes up. We will see you guys again.

I wonder if it is any better than the Lipscomb line? We seemed to have more yards than you guys did; and, none of our drives took more than two minutes. Rogers scored at least twice without being touched. That would seem like a pretty fair line to me too.

Should go about like last week. Up 35-0 with eight minutes left in second quarter as the starters begin to exit the game.

Lipscomb in this one by as many as McAdams wants it to be. However, he is a merciful coach. My guess is something like 44-6 with the starters in the game. Final score 44-13. Way too much team speed for Lipscomb. We look forward to another road trip to Ashland City. The hosts are very hospitable and the homecoming festivities are exceptional. Catfish before the game and milkshakes afterwards. What a Friday night with high school football.

The only time I remember Marshall Co. beating Lipscomb was when time stood still. There have been several really close games though. I don't think Spring Hill and Lipscomb have played very many times until Lipscomb came into this region. They did beat Lipscomb in 93. SH had a stud named Bernard Oden, or something like that. Don't know about Page at all.

Have you even seen Lipscomb play this year? A scrimmage or the one game? That is the smallest defense I have ever seen. It is, however, the fastest quickest defense I have ever seen. Since we all know that speed kills, don't look for this to be very close. My best guess is 42 - 10 Lipscomb.

How is #16 doing? I hope his injury is not too serious. Ran into a DL assistant yesterday morning and he said the doctor was afraid his arm could be bad. Hopefully, he'll be alright and GB can go on a have a good year. Everything I have read he seems to be a great kid.

galilee - I know nothing of this kid's situation. Only know that in the semi-finals I saw the most talented raw quarterback I have seen in lots of years. He was so far superior to the kid from Fulton in the finals that it was laughable. Whatever Mr Torry does I hope that he is a real success. The sky could be the limit with that kind of ability and potential. Here's hoping that whatever decision is made it turns out best for him.

Where will the game be played? Noticed on Coacht schedules that Mitchell apparently plays their games at multiple locations. Is their an on campus stadium? Any info would be appreciated.

What happened to Giles County in this game? Turnovers? Penalties? Poor field position? Or, simply a butt whipping? I really expected Giles County to win this game. Was looking forward to seeing you guys again in quarterfinals. Congratulations on a good year in Pulaski.

Every school in the state has the same rule. You cannot turn 19 before September 1 of your senior year.

I guess it is also not fair for public schools to pay "tuition" and be able to attend school in another area. For example, in Blount County you can pay an out-of-county fee and attend school there. Last AP poll that I checked had a Blount County school at #8 in 5A, #1 in 4A and #1 in 2A. Noone seems uptight about this. Why can't we keep public-private debate over where it belongs. There is an entire section for that on Coach T.

How did a fourth seed wind up 8-2? Noticed that they wore out their region champion the last week of the year. Noticed they also wore out Dyer County earlier in the year. Lipscomb better bring the A game this week if they want to continue on as in prior years.

Here's one Lipscomb Mustang fan that is pulling for the Cubs to have a big game and make it into the playoffs. Your coaches have done a good job turning this season around. I really like the coaching staff and the job they do there. Cubs by 13 in this one.

You people at Greenbrier really have a stadium to be proud of. The new home side looked great with lots of seating. The actual playing surface was beautiful. You've done a great job up there. Too bad the play did not look as pretty as the stadium. It really showed which team had played a game and which team had not. Lipscomb was very sloppy. Five fumbles (two lost) and an interception. Greenbrier players outhit Lipscomb the whole game. If their linemen had gotten their feet moving for a few more blocks and not their hands, this game might have been different. Good luck to Greenbrier the rest of the season.

Why is region there this year? I thought we went to Giles County last year.
