  1. Let's not forget Westview beating Chester at CC home court with all CC players present and accouted for by 10!!! It seems Chester, Gibson and Westview are all very good teams and can all get to the state tourney if they stay focused and hopefully no other coach will copy the McNairy plan. Good Luck to the teams!!!
  2. Congrats to all the Miss BB finalist. What a great honor to be recognized for all your hard work and dedication. Good luck to Krystle Horton and Jada Mincy from your past AAU fans. And good luck to Kendall Cavin! You have brought excitement and pride to the Westview Lady Charger team, families and fans. Get up'view!!!
  3. Meghan practiced yesterday and she looks good. What a boost to the team to have her ready to play. Get up 'view, it all depends on you!!!
  4. Westview vs Haywood girls is at 6:30 - Gibson Co. gym Crockett vs Ripley girls is at 8:00. District 14 AA boys Championship is tonite at Brighton. Fans from some schools will be divided between the boys & girls games. Tomorrow, 2 more girls games at Region 7, 4 boys games on Sat.
  5. It was great to see the Chargers play their best game when it counted against a tough Dyer Co. team. I guess the boys finally bought into Coach Britt's plan for a patient, slow down game, waiting for the best shots. Congrats to Booker,Black and Bright for making the All District team!! Great job Cedano and Hill- great defense and ball handling. It's been a long time since both girls and boys teams have been #1 in the district. Your fans are behind you! Take on District 14 with confidence and playing smart! Get up 'view!!!
  6. Get up 'View for the Lady Rebels who are coming off a big win against Dyersburg(by 12 I think). Playing in the Pit is never easy. Hope we have Reynolds, DeSantis and Farrell hot with the 3's. Brundige, Bellamy will need to be strong again defending under the basket. Cavin, keep up the jump shots and taking those charges!!! Hunter, Ricketts and Phillips can come off the bench with big minutes for the Lady Chargers. Fans will get their $'s worth again seeing another battle of the district foes. What do you have up your sleeve, Coach Wiz? Hope Fuqua is back on the floor soon. What a season. What a year to be a Lady Charger FAN!!Lady Charger FAN!!!
  7. It's time for the FAB FIVE to start their last Lady Charger BB season, charging those young Lady Bulldogs with all they got-and that's a lot. But don't think the whole show is up to the Sr class. The bench is warmed up and ready to play with anyone. What a great season ahead of them!! Get up'View, we're counting on YOU. Lady Chargers are in the HOUSE!!! shooting the lights out. 'View
  8. You know what GoGold? Usually the host team allows the visitors to play the toughest teams since they want good games when they have to travel 2 hours or more. If WHS is trying to dodge the strong teams, then why do they continue to go to Shellbyville summer camp and battle the AAA teams? Don't worry about the Lady Chargers being prepared for the State Tournament. There are 5 Seniors that are eating, breathing and working toward a state championship, being strong leaders for the younger ones. But better yet, they know what it takes to play with integrity and carry that attitude off the court. Have a great Thanksgiving Tournament, WHS-then it's time to put the pedal to the metal. : WHS
  9. CHAD CLIFTON, WESTVIEW, MARTIN,TN - GREENBAY PACKERS 2001
  10. Congratulations Meghan, the Fuqua's, McMillans, Lady Chargers and mostly the Lady Skyhawks! Kim & Gary Van Atta got them a good one!!! Great for the Martin community that will be able to continue watching #12 play at UTM. Can't wait for BB season to crank up and get going on to the 'ship at the 'boro. Good luck Lady Chargers.
  11. Holly Wright from Celina quit after first practice. Ashley Shields from Memphis Melrose played with WestTN Mustangs, Ashley Awkward quit after State Tournament. G
  12. Holly Wright from Celina quit after the first practice. Ashley Shields played for the Memphis Mustangs. Ashley Awkward quit after the State Tournament in Cookeville. Two new players have been added to roster for the Nationals. Granberry from Memphis-White Station and Abbey Cannon from Shelbyville.
  13. Is it just by chance that the Nike team is in Pool A with last year's winner or are the pool's arranged on basis of this year's win/loses, etc? The bracket on AAU National web page does not show games Sat & Sun-is the bracket incomplete? Good luck to all Tn teams.
  14. She played on the 16 U team out of Dyersburg, the Storm. Before that, Westview AAU teams. Majority of the players are from AAA schools, Cavin is AA and with the group of guards on the team, the coach rotates players. We'll see what happens in Texas at Nationals.
  15. Since this is first time experiencing national AAU tourn, I need some info on format. There's nothing listed on web page yet about the dates of the pool play, when tournament play starts, how many games are played on 15th, just championship?, 3rd-4th, etc? Are there games every day starting 8th thru 15th? Whatabout Sunday, July 14? Thanks for anyone's help.
