  3. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on Macon...even fans of a football tradition-less school like yours can surmise that any community/school are going to have their share of obnoxious fans. Heck, we have one guy (he is actually a father of one of our backup lineman, bless his heart), that stands up at every game screaming and hollering at refs, coaches, players and even the chain gang. (You would know, if you were near him last night). Many fans and even school administrators have said things to the man, but as long as he keeps it clean, there is not much we can do about it. I usually go to each game with my dad and brother and take my 3 yr old boy...we would cringe every time we walk up the opposing teams stands and were going to be near the man. There were times last year, when he was so out of line (actually screaming profanities and "you stink" to all on the field) that I and the principal had words with this character. This particular guy was the type that probably never played a snap of football in his life and had never been involved in organized sports or society until his boy played in high school. He doesnt have a clue and will never have one!!!! Macon fans were by no means the consummate fans that you are portraying yourselves to be. As the game started, there was an older Fulton fan cheering the team as they ran on to the field. After he sit down and Macon came out, a lady behind him started shaking a blue pom-pom in his face. The man was actually a row down and about 3 seats over, so she was stretching across 2 or 3 people to do this, it was in no way inadvertent. I really think that many fans are going to be sore when you have them sitting beside each other and inter-dispersed throughout the stands, as was the case last night. And your players (YOU GUYS ARE BY NO MEANS THE SQUEAKY CLEAN/UNDERDOG CHIOR BOYS THAT YOU CLAIM TO BE)...I couldnt count how many late hit/cheap shots that they gave, esp. after the whistle and at the end of plays away from the action. Hittin’ guys from the blindside, as they were walking to the sideline and also jumping on top of and over every pile. And all that anyone saw in the first quarter were Macon players jumping around waiving there hands for the fans to get up and jawing after every play. #33 was jaw-jacking (with his head, erratically bobbing) after every play until he was eventually put to sleep on the last play of the half. (MAN WHAT A LICK!!! Really laid the lumber!!!). One time, after being hit and slammed by a host of falcons for a 5 yard loss, he threw the ball (from the lie-down position) at one of our players that was just standing around the pile. As the old saying goes, "Act like you have been there before"...well we have and did!!!! I know in football you must be aggressive and play with a level of emotion, but some of your boys went way overboard and by the indication of the final score, were way over their heads!!! One more thing...I was on this board all week warning some of you that you would be surprised of our toughness, size and strength and of the fact that we would hit you back!!! I guess the Falcons made a lot of new believers!!!! Finally, I have to give Macon credit for playing a tough game. They were very similar to a Scott County or Anderson County, but were driven by much more emotion and were much more one dimensional than those run oriented teams. Have to say that the TC/Fulton game last year was a much better match-up and also one of the all-time best. Great Game Falcons!!! You have fought and worked hard this year to get back to the 'Boro!!! Now let's finish the job and Bring home the Hardware!!!! GO FALCONS!!!!!!
  4. 1, 2, 3...We told you that we were more than speed!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. 1, 2, 3...and OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Temp is dropping. Light rain this morning. should be in mid to low 30s tonight, maybe reaching low of 28. Also predicting snow flurries light rain mixture.
  7. I really wish that you would READ and UNDERSTAND my posts before commenting!!!!!!!!! I stated that we may indeed have the size advantage and that you may be surprised!!! Also stated that both teams exhibited those attributes mentioned...actually giving Macon credit!!! PULEAZE, GET A CLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Congrats need to go out to #99 Demarcus "Mookie" Stevens, as he was named Number 18 on the Knoxville News Sentinel's list of Top 25 Prospects in the State of TN!!!
  9. Obviously you are uneducated or misinformed about the size matchup between the two teams!!! If you compare rosters and starting lineups, we are the team with the size advantage!!! So you need to rephrase your analogy to read: The Fulton MAC trucks traveling 60 MPH, collide with the Macon trucks traveling 40 MPH!!! On a serious note...I think your boy's are little faster than people think (there is no doubt we have some burners)...BUT our size will definitely surprise you! BESIDES...neither SPEED nor SIZE will win this game!!! This game will be won by the team that has a combination of Good Players/Athletes and these INTANGIBLES: Heart, Preparation, Game-planning/adjustments, Conditioning and Knowing how to win in pressure situations!!! Both teams exhibit many of these characteristics, which will in turn lead to ONE GREAT GAME ON FRIDAY!!!!! Good Luck and LET THE BEST/MOST COMPLETE TEAM WIN!!!!! Go Falcons...ALL OF K-TOWN IS PULLING FOR YOU!!!!!!!
  10. HOTDOG, Nice post...I can respect the message and DEFINITELY RESPECT your team. One can only have the utmost RESPECT for a team over overachievers that play with heart...but the same can be said for our Falcons. This team lost many starters/All-Stars Nominees from last years State Runner-up team, so what they have accomplished so far this year is a testiment to there hard work and determination, as well. These boys have been underdogs in their own right much of the year. This has to rank as one of the most resilient and determined teams that we have had in a long time...they really have a tremendous amount of heart!!! Sounds like your boys have a lot of the same characteristics...of course, to be in this position, you would generally expect nothing less!!! Sure to be a great game...Cant wit til Friday!!! Go Falcons!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hold on...how did we get to talking about smoking in Italy? LOL!!! Man, Please...Reading one post of your MODIFIED English is excruciating enough. Twice in one day is unbearable!!!! I know you are young (says here you are a freshman)...so I will excuse the error of your ways and give you some advise. 1) Use the spell check. Or write on Word and cut and paste...it will do all the grammar check work for you. 2) Dont write checks...that your (well, you can figure out the rest).
  12. A Few Nuggets to add to the Speed argument: 1) Force is equal to Mass x Acceleration. 2) Momentum is equal to Mass x Velocity 3) An object with momentum also has Kinetic Energy. This energy, which is often called the energy of motion, is the energy a body possesses because of its motion. The kinetic energy (E) of an object is one-half of its mass multiplied by the square of its velocity. The formula is written E = 1/2 mv-squared. When the formula is written in terms of the momentum of the object, it is E = 1/2 pv. -Notice that in this formula, Mass is cut in half (thus lessening it's significants)...while Velocity (or speed) contributes exponentially (or increases at a very, very high rate). In other words, Velocity is much more critical to creating a surge of power. (OK, so I have lost most of you...let's put this in laymans terms) The kinetic energy of an object increases with the square of its velocity. For example, an automobile moving at 60 miles an hour has four times the energy it would have at 30 miles an hour. This increase in kinetic energy is why high-speed collisions are so much more dangerous and damaging than low-speed collisions. When a moving object collides with another object, energy and momentum are transferred. The energy given up by the moving object is called the IMPACT. Objects moving at high velocity have high Impact if they strike another object. So Class...the question is this: After the above is considered, who will have the true impact?
  13. You may be surprised when you finally see who the hitters are going to be...and then even more so when see the hittees!!!
  14. Gary Anderson...NFL's All-time scoring leader...signed by the Titans (that's TN)
  15. I guess you misunderstood me too. I said, I had thought about going to the Fulton game. Its really a toss up, its like this, Free basketball tickets to UT game or $7.00 for a Fulton game? I really haven't made up my mind. To tell you the truth its like a 68% that I will be at Bob Black Field with my Roadrunner shirt on! But all jokes aside, I do have some former players on that Fulton so I do have to show'em some love. Now you asked me if I knew Heather McCloud! Yes, I know Ms. McCloud-that's my road dog! But I've heard you were Coach Black's daughter, that's why you know so much. Don't lie now, more then 1 person has told me this. Come on Pigeon come clean. KEV: You already know I would've been rubbing it in their face if AE would've won. But its all good. I know how it is! They went through it in 2001 and now I'm going through it for the 2nd straight year Roadrunner I really think you have the wrong person.
  16. You guys are right...speed doesnt equate to anything on the football field. We should just put our linemen in the backfield, since speed doesnt matter. Give me a BREAK!!!!!! FIRST...Never, ever, ever, ever compare us to 2-8 Howard!!!!!! There is a reason they were 2-8!!!! Second...No more verbal sparing...for it is time for the FALCONS to TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS!!!!!
  17. Fulton really has a great mix of both size and speed at all positions. We have smaller players like WR #5 Tylon (5'9'', 155) that can flat out burn, and medium sized players like QB #15 J Long (6'1" 180), RB #6 Jam Fine (5'11'', 171), WR #2 Wilkerson, WRs # 9 Patton and #8 Matthews (6'0 ", 160s) that can kill you with size, speed and quickness. And then we have larger players with great speed like DE #1 T Martin (6'2", 185) and the biggest freak of them all (as in "The Freak" Jevon Kearse), Mr. lineman finalist (2 years straight) #99 Demarcus "Mookie" Stevens (6'3", 210)...not only is he a load to block and bring down, he also runs in the 4.4-4.5 range!!! We also have a few on the line that go 6'4" to 6'5", 270-300+. What makes us so successful is the fact that we have a BALANCED, Multi-dimensional attack!!! Couple that with good size, awesome speed, motivated players and great coaching and you get 26-2 over the past 2 years!!! 'Tis True, Measurements will not win you a football game, but for people to say that we arent used to the big teams that play "Smash-mouth football," they have just hooked on to a huge misconception. Just like people probably think b/c you are a County/Rural school, you have no speed. I am sure you guys have your share of speed. I just dont know if you have seen it this consistent or if you can overcome the speed deficiencies at each position. So you played Howard who had a little speed...they were 2-7 and a lousy team at that (should have never made the playoffs), and we sure as heck wont throw 8 interceptions. And I dont want to hear this Bull that "we arent running a track meet, we're playing a football game." That much is understood...but to all those people I say, why does UT recruit track athletes every year to play WR and DB for them...b/c they are playmakers and put the other teams at an automatic disadvantage!! We have played many teams that use "ball-control", "Johnny Major-esk" offenses, b/c of the fact that our district is so diverse (us and AE are the only City schools in the district). We actually play more teams that are one dimensional towards the run than teams that have our speed and utilize a wide open offense (about 7 or 8 run oriented Rural schools and 2-3 multidimensional on our schedule)...and you can see from our record (only losses to Ridgeway and AE) the last 2 years that we are VERY successful in those “Big Ball” match-ups as well. Just looking at Macon's roster...I see only 3 guys at 6'0" and no one over 250-60. So why do you think we cant handle you up front? Do you have a bunch of guys that can lift the whole weight room? or Do you get a good deal from your local RX on enhancers?
  18. Thanks for that. I have a question...I was looking at the pictures on the site..One of pics the shows a football field...Is this the Fulton field, the stands on one side like you guys were talking about? This is the link to that picture of the stadium I am talking about. Fulton School Pictures Yes...that is the stadium on the left. Picture was actually taken before the addition of the second press box that was added over the existing one. The stadium appears a lot smaller in that picture, b/c of the weird angle. Also picture 10 or 11 is that of the new gymnasium/sport complex.
  19. Here is a website to the Falcon's Nest. I dont think it has been updated in 2 or 3 years: http://www.korrnet.org/fulton/ You can also search the Knox County Schools site for info: http://www.kcs.k12tn.net/
  20. Keep on thinking all we can do is run...and then go ask Coach Satterfield for his assessment. This team is by no means anything like the same team we had last year. We lost 8-9 starters on both sides of the ball and Reggie Cobb's little brother (Freshman All State Linebacker LY, Tyrone) at Middle Linebacker from the State Runner-up team from last year. The main things that have stayed the same is work effort, an understanding of how to win, and coaches developing players. Sure we can run...but you better check the film for our defensive and hitting prowess. Fact is, we are probably more athletic than last year with J Long replacing Whetsel (drop back/non mobile style) at Quarterback we have really added another dimension to the Offense. Sure to be a great game...neither team would be here if they werent Great teams!!! But dont think that we would are going to be man-handled up front...you will be surprised!!! It is going to be a monumental night on the Hill!!! Go Falcons!!!
  21. Craig L I figured since the kids are out of school on Friday, there may be some pregame festivities planned..(i.e. pep rally, luncheon, etc.). As far as I know, this is the biggest game that we have ever hosted. I figured that there would be some things planned leading up to the game, to create excitement and so people can enjoy the pagentry of this event.
  22. Well, I hope for your sake you are an Auburn Fan!!! If not you may be in for a big let down!!!!
  23. How bout the pregame activities???
  24. THATS OK, WAS JUST TRYING TO SEE WHAT TIME I WANT TO LEAVE TO MAKE SURE I GET A SEAT LOL....BUT THANKS ANYWAYS. THINK IM GOING TO LAY DOWN DIDNT SLEEP BUT 2 HOURS LAST NIGHT AND IM GETTING AWFULLY SLEEPY. SO HAVE A GGOD NIGHT AND SEE YA LATER. NITE NITE Remember that Knoxville is E.S.T. and is 1 hour ahead of middle TN...so you guys will need to leave early. Probably will be at least a 2 hour drive, maybe more considering holiday traffic. I am sure you will bring alot of folks, and there is sure to be tons from other school here to catch the action...so leave esp early. We dont have a visitors stands...our stadium sits on a hill with the visitors sideline on the downgrading or sloping side of the hill. Years ago we had a small set of bleachers there, but the didnt last! Going to be a great atmosphere. One thing we have always had were classy coaches and fans, so be prepared for a great experience!! I also think you guys will be impressed with our new "College Like" facilities...if you happen to get to see the new sports complex from the inside.
