  1. You have a good point, but I do believe if Alcoa chooses to play man coverage and can't get to the qb then it will be a long night, but I do think the coaches will have the players more than ready for this game. I've got my reservations for next weekend! Alcoa by 17!
  2. I know I've been talking bad about Alcoa's secondary this year and lord knows they've given up some big plays, but I honestly think it's the scheme that Nix is calling. He seems to be playing alot of man to man coverage with players that aren't fast and athletic enough to play man coverage. Cobb is the only db I'd trust playing press man, but I'm not the coach so what do I know?
  3. Who the heck is Peabody and where are they even located?? I've never even heard of this team! I really hope you guys make it to the Boro because you guys have no idea what it takes to win a gold ball! Good luck friday!
  4. I talked to Duck at the game and he's not sure if he will even be at UT. He told me that Clemson and VT wants him to play linebacker and Memphis told him he could play RB. He's looking at going to a school like Memphis and being the star back.
  5. I wouldn't put money on him going to UT when I find out I'll let you know.
  6. Why is it when Alcoa says something good about our team it's cocky? Until someone stops us in 2a I believe we have a right to say what we want right?? Good luck and hopefully we'll see you guys in the Boro!
  7. If DCA can throw the ball then it will be a long night for the Tornadoes unless Cobb plays more defense. he is by far our best db and we will need him to make plays on both sides of the ball. Alcoa is used to being in these types of games and knows what's at stake if they win this game. They will be ready for DCA and freedom fest will take place at Goddard field on Friday! (If you know what I mean)! hahahaha, /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  8. Yeah I watched some of the DCA and GP game. It has been confirmed though This will be the second best team Alcoa will face all year. Heard their qb is pretty accurate, and that number 21 can do it all. Looks like Alcoa will have to outscore them to pull this one out. Good luck to DCA and have a safe trip.
  9. Yes, thanks for correcting me I'm a little tired.
  10. You know we say the same thing about Maryville. They beat us every year, but can't say anything to them because we can't beat them! So if everyone is tired of hearing about Alcoa and how good they are then do something about it and BEAT them!! It's amazing how everyone starts hatin on a team when they are winning, because when we weren't winning then no one said anything about Alcoa!
  11. You may be right on this one. CPA reminds me of one of those teams, maybe a little more physical. They seem to be identical to CAK or loudon speed wise. The bottom line is from top to bottom CPA just doesn't match up with Alcoa across the board, but it will be a good game.
  12. The UT coaches told him that they were gonna go to the spread, but I think they said that just to get him to sign. there's no way UT changes their offense to the spread. I just don't see it happening.
  13. Cobb said he tweaked his ankle but it's ok.
  14. Nothings wrong with it. he hurt his chest on that one play.
  15. I saw the CPA game against GP and they remind me of a more physical CAK team. That receiver seemed to be pretty tall and the qb had a good arm, but I don't think their defense will be able to catch Cobb, hodge, tony, or thompson if they get behind them. They looked like a well disciplined team though. Alcoa 49-28!!
  16. Yeah they may score 21, but I promise you that Alcoa's offense won't be stopped! It could be a high scoring game, but I don't think DCA has team speed like Alcoa's gonna show next week. Cobb & Co. will put on a show! Good luck though!
  17. I will admit, GP's offense moved the ball and put up points , but this is why I like running up the score. If we kill a team by 60 then we have no class, if we only win by 20 or 30 then Alcoa can be beat! ###### if we do, ###### if we don't. Yes GP put up 36 and Alcoa's secondary is weak this year, but our best db (Cobb) didn't play much tonight and he may have picked one or two of them balls off. The final was 59-36, but Alcoa could have EASILY put up 80 or 90 and yall know it! Rankin sat Cobb & Co. the whole second half. My hat goes off to GP's offense for putting up 36, but keep it real now. Our offense was never stopped! Congrats on yalls season!
  18. Why are we full of ourselves?? If you're team was the 3 time state champs you would be confident also. Us Alcoa fans SUPPORT our Tornadoes and we are proud of them every week! They work extremely hard each week in practice and they deseve everything they're getting. We know how it feels to lose and not make the playoffs. In 02' we went 4-6, but until someone in 2a knocks us off we have a right to talk and support our team! You'd do the same for your team and you should! I've heard fans being cocky and talking trash all year about their team, but Alcoa is full of themselves?? Good luck next week!
  19. We've had our losing years. in the 90's we weren't winning much of anything. My freshman year we started out 0-5 and went 6-6 and my junior year we started 1-4 and went 6-6, so we know what it feels like to be on the other end. I I've stated before, we've always had the athletes in Alcoa, we just didn't have a weight program or the right coaches. Now we have a great program and it will be hard to beat us for a while.
