op...i wish u boys the best in the playoffs.my son played on the gville team in 02 and 03.he was the center.he has the upmost respect for you alls team.when we played in those years me and my family didnt have any trouble with those teams.they were very well nice boys to talk to.again i wish u all the best.maybe your boys will enjoy the next level of football.just wish they had of went to ut instead.

you gotta think about it... there is alot of schools in this country and sp is 1a so... we have had 1 or 2 players go big and graduating adnd there is a few that also some that ruined their careers but that is a good question thats my 2 cents thanks for answering my question.with all this so called power and speed sp has,it still doesnt make sense,that a bigger school doesnt recruit them.im not saying they arent good,but if u all have such a power house with speed,it seems like a bigger school would want them.single a or not,if u r that good,on the field and off,then sure to goodness that someone,maybe from bama,ut,ga,would be looking at these guys.

i have a question?if sp is so full of power and speed,and real good seniors,then why doesnt bigger colleages want them?i have read that some r committed to smaller schools,but not the bigger schools(like maybe the SECdivision).they may be good,or mr.football or something,but if they were that good,then it seems like bigger coll., schools would want them.

Not much denying that Cheesy & BDAS.........................Bunches of folkes witnessed that. wasnt it in 02 or 03 when we played sp,and they blamed us for wetting the field that night?my son played that night in the 2 inch mud,and we beat them.then the following year,they came back and beat us.

Uncle Dave remembers that game...it was Chris Ferrell's last game at quarterback. He had the worst game of his life that night partly because I think SP was overlooking Gordonsville. Greenback was the team to beat that year and all the media folks felt like SP was the only team that could beat Greenback...but SP ran into a buzz saw that night! That group of seniors had a great career...they came up 1 win short in 85 and 86 of winning it all. This group of seniors reminds me of that group in some ways. They have been very successful on the field and hopefully will add another gold ball this year. Not many folks can brag about having so many wins in a row. i remember that game that year.like u said,they were stunned.wasnt coach conditt the coach that year?also ,wasnt we told that if we done it again,that we would be penalized.it was awesome that night

We kind of invented the "blackout." As a matter of fact, it was at a homecoming on Halloween night in 1980 against the #2 team in Class A. Guess who the visiting team was? The Pirates won 36-6. we played them in 02 in the first round. It was our Senior year and we played South Pitt the next week, then Boyd the week after. Talked to your son earlier today, was hoping to get up there and visit with him while he was in town, but probably not going to happen. didnt we play lookout valley in the playoffs in 2002 or 03?my son played them one of those years.if i recall,didnt we play them then,in the first rd.,then in the second rd.,cooper basin?i remember lookout valley then being real small then.i believe they were rebuilding their program.
