Well I think its pretty obvious where the best AA basketball is and we can narrow it to a district.Well I've watched em all play and here is how I would rank the 8 that made it to the Boro. 1.Fulton(By far best coached and not bad recruiting effort this off season Stiles(Knox Central)and the big from Alcoa. 2-3.BTW and Bolivar dead heat 4.Carter-Couple of plays against BTW and could have gone 0-5 against Fulton coaching is no match Athleteticly even 5.LA-Depend too much on one player 6.Brainerd-Great draw in opening round 7.Sheffield-Athletic chaos 8.Lipscomb-How did they get here???? Congrats Fulton Back to Back

Heres my 2 cents worth.Carter had a heck of chance to put BTW out in the first round.If we could have drawn Lipscomb LA or Sheffield to get our feet wet I think it could have been Carter Fulton on Sat but what is the old saying about candy and nuts.Were 0-4 against Fulton I don't think BTW would beat us 4 out of 4 Falcons by 6.

Play at your school if youre good enough they'll find you.I'm pretty sure that was Bruce Pearl that I saw up at the Grainger vs Carter game in the little town of Rutledge.These kids at these prep schools are putting too much of their life on a basketball game a very few can make a living playing basketball.So no Turtle I don't think congrats are in order here.Wow I didn't know we were destroying a program when we upset AE hey if we done this everytime AE beat us we wouldn't even still have a program.Gotta go.Getting packed for the Boro.GO HORNETS!!!!!

Fulton and Carter round five for the Gold ball.That's what i'm hoping for.

Overall record means very little 8 of Carter's losses have been to Bearden,Oak Ridge Fulton and AE I don't see these teams on other AA schedules let's play and see what happens.

Union County thanks for a great venue and great high school atmosphere this will be a special memory for these kids and fans for a long time to come.The teams both played great Carter just alittle more athletic in the end.I really wish the refs from knox area could be more like these officials they didn't come to be seen matter of fact I really don't remember what they looked like no staring at the player after every call no techs great job.And a big shout out to the Carter fans big crowd pretty good haul from 4 way.Lets show up at the BORO GO HORNETS

Zone Man it didn't matter this was a no contest.Catholic would be hard pressed to win more than 2 games in Carter's district.

Irish Ball heres your enlightment.Stanton was injured early in the second half at Fulton(hip)and would be sidelined for maybe 2 weeks,Toward the end of the Fulton game he voiced his displeasure with the treatment of a teammate by the coach and was sent to the locker room.The coach has decided to suspend him until January.While I support Landry's leadership in this situation his delivery was out of line and he will take his punishment and be better for it. Now to the state of this program and last nights game.4 points in the 4th you got to be kidding me.This is on paper a very talented high school basketball team even without Stanton.What's the deal 2 wins on the season hey is there any accountability here or is this OK at Carter?????

Carter finally played with some intensity in this game.Carter actually was leading by 4 or 5 when Stanton went down in the 3rd qt.The only thing I have trouble understanding is the short short leash that this coach has on Hayes he's the one player we have that has been playing with some emotion so far this year.Hey at 1-4 we need somebody playing hard.As i said earlier this team is as talented as any in the area. AND AS YOU SAID BALLKING ITS BASKETBALL 101 we need to buy the book.

Ball King give Carter a break on all the negativity.The straw that stirs the drink for this team is just a week out of football give us time.I saw Carter play Karns this summer in the Pearl camp and while Karns is very capable of beating us I like our chances.Basketball is a tournament sport you need to be playing your best in Feb and March not November.GO HORNETS

This shouldn't even be left up to the coach.If anyone is in charge at AE or the school system NO WAY THEY PLAY any sport the rest of the school year.This is not even worth discussing.

Well AC kind of ironic isn't it a screen pass kept you in it(65 yds on 3rd and long against Carter)and a screen pass took you out.Has your back already applied for his hardship at Catholic or is it too late.Keep me updated.

Congrats Roadrunners.This was the worst exhibition of coaching I have ever seen on any level at least Graham gets to play next week I don't know how Kingston coaches can look their players in the eye. Kingston should have won in regulation and in the first OT.

This is not a Coatney recruit this a Jody Wright recruit Styles didn't play bball at Central but I bet he does at Fulton Jody needs some size to go with Steele and Gallman.I'm sure Stiles has had a change of address or some other legit reason for this transfer.The TSSAA is a absolute joke when it comes to this kind of crap.But I bet Central doesn't push it because they used to be poster child for this stuff.

Landry Stanton leading scorer for Carter in 07-08 returns for senior season.Teams can't put best defender on Stanton this year too many other weapons.Should be on any list of top seniors in Ktown area.
