I understand what you are talking about with injuries, but anybody that would want any player to get hurt in a football game has mental problems.

Good post stangfan. McKenzie loves the Rebels as much as Huntingdon loves the Mustangs. Hopefully this will be a good game with no injuries and the fans can act like adults and appreciate good plays from both teams.

Lake County has a good program and I wish them a win in all their remaining games except against the REBELS!!!!!!!!!

Huntingdon doesn't substitute against McKenzie, if we score it will be against the first team. Huntingdon doesn't consider McKenzie to be a rival but Huntingdon will have all their 'injured' players playing on Friday night. As always it will be a game full of emotion and I hope the Rebels and Mustangs are injury free after the game. None of the Milan - USJ antics.

I think the win at Dresden was a big morale booster for the REBELS. I believe that they will be victorious against Greenfield.

Last year we didn't have a DEFENSE, but outscored most opponents. This year we have no DEFENSE and can't score. Do our coaches not think DEFENSE is important? Maybe we need to play some of the Freshmen at DEFENSE, as they did a good job last year. Once again DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Carr kid is going to be the real deal. Maybe this year we will utilize some running backs and not throw the ball ever down. Hopefully we will develop a defense this year. Go Rebels and good luck against Trenton Peabody.

Thanks Summertown57 for setting the record straight. Looks like Summertown will play McKenzie again. Both teams seem to be evenly matched and both are class acts on the field from what I hear. GO McKenzie Rebels!!!!!!!

TSSAA web site box scores say McKenzie wins, brackets show Summertown wins. ESPN, West Tn, says McKenzie wins??????? Hopefully someone can find out which team is playing Trousdale Co.

Confusion sets in as usual. The TSSAA web site brackets have Summertown winning but the box scores on TSSAA show McKenzie winning??????? WHO WON??????????

Summertown definitely belongs in the state playoffs and they will probably get another shot at McKenzie.

Good post Greenfieldman, but do you think UTM is smart enough to recruit even one of these players? They like the Big Vols like to recruit out of state.....makes them seem more impressive to get some player from Montana.

I see your thought process isn't much better than your spelling or grammar. The statement I made was "tongue in cheek". There are many players that are due recognition during the year, but let's not make light of the ones who have received the Mr. Football nomination.

When a football player is selected from your school........the selection process is all talent, records etc. When a football player from your school isn't selected.........the selection process is all political.
