  1. Cookeville was so predictable vs Coffee Co. It was the slowest Cavalier squad I had seen in a long time. They only threw the ball when they fell behind in the 4th. If the Pioneers can stop the big fullback dive, off tackle, or the isolation, all between the tackles they should have a chance. Good luck.

    Best Offensive Lines

Tony Montana the porn star or the gangster???
  3. CC probably did not fax them to the Tennessean. In response to peterpan, they threw the ball 29 times vs Rhea and at least 10-12 maybe more vs Cookeville. Thats close to 40-45 balls in 2 games, an average of 20 or so. I believe that is a good number of throws a game. I look for them to put it up 30+ times this Friday at Tullahoma
  4. Radio accounts of the Coffee - Cookeviile game did tell of CC's domination. It sounded like they played a pretty good game, defense especially. It sounded like Cookeville is down this season, they hardly threw the ball & had little variety in their running between the tackles, not to mention lack of speed to the outside. Sparta, Cookeville's 1st week win, must really be weak to give up 54 points to a 3 yard & a pile of dust offense. Tullahoma with its speed & experience should control the line of scrimmage. CC can't afford the turnovers this week, nor in the weeks to come vs Crossville, LaVergne & Franklin Co. I hope its a good game, CC is on a 5 game drought against the Wildcats. THS 31 CC 14 Any pre-game, post-game festivities at Fast Jack's???
  5. what kind of drugs are you taking peterpan??? If I were you I wouldn't be operating any heavy machinery
  6. I would not say CC has owned WC. Both squads in the recent games look for ways to lose. WC has just lost a little more, but all games were decided by 1 touchdown or less in the past 4 years. Not quite ownership. I've seen backward onside kicks(with the other team trying to recover it) bad punt snaps, balls being swiped right from a backs hand & returned. You could put both teams together & still not possibly get 5 wins on either teams schedule. Baseball teams together would be very good though.
  7. Can't make the game up there. Any internet broadcast? I believe my old EKU roomate (ex- Ryle H.S. Baseball assistant now Scott H.S. head coach) told me that this pairing is the most interesting of the 3. I wish a TN H.S. would hold a tri state weekend of games like at UTC or in Knoxville. Also catch EKU v Oregon State on FOX Sports NW if they show it regionally on Thursday night.
  8. Game is at Ryle H.S. in Florence KY From Nashville up I65 to Louisville then I71 toward Cincy. You'll lose the hour but its not a bad trip. I think its part of a doubleheader. Florence (Boone Co) has very good football, Shaun Alexander is a product but also the N KY area was home to Lorenzen (QB @ UK),UC's starting QB (a londg Italian name), UT signed a tackle from up there and UK's old TE (Smith I think) was a 2 sport phenom
  9. Blackmon won 11-0. Radio broadcast stated that CCHS is improved but still did the same old mistakes (2 turnovers & penalties) CCHS also did not sub much at all while the Blaze went to their 2's (at least) with 5-6 minutes remaining in the scrimmage. Good luck to both squads this year
  10. Who cares fellas!!! Its a freakin scrimmage. (without special teams) It looks as if Sequatchie fans are living on the pre season when all that matters is the regular and post season. They edged a CC squad that has won 5 games in 4 years, no big deal. Also, CC and SC arguing over stats is kind of pathetic too. Games like these are for coaches to evaluate their systems and players. Wins would be nice, but I think I'd rather win in the fall than in the middle of August.
  11. Somerset H.S. up in Kentucky are the Briarjumpers. But I love the classics...Hillhouse H.S. in New Haven, Connecticut - the Academics "Acs" and also out of the great state of Conn. the New London H.S. Whalers

    nice update!!

The new CoachT site upgrade is very good. The only other H.S. sports site that I have seen that is just as good is bluegrasspreps.com It's out of the Cincy-Northern KY area and they incorporate a lot of football comparisons to Indiana & Ohio and the Boys hoops talk never rests on that site. 13. Brentwwod Academy will be playing in the Ryle H.S. (Florence, Boone Co. KY) against a power out of Cincinnati (St. Xavier)

Good posts fellas, actually UCONN is a transistional 1A member with full blown BIG EAST status in 2005. EKU, although they lost their All American safety for the year, is the team to watch out for. Swamp, you wouldn't be a guy I coached with known as Swampy at CC?

Listen boys I didn't mean to rile you all up. I know that the SEC is hands down better than the BIG EAST in football. But don't give me that #7 vs #3 stuff. Georgia losing to BC last year, VT over Bama in the inaugural. Those 2 SEC programs should not loose to a BIG EAST squad with the recruits they get. I can see UK & Ole Miss losing to Syracuse & W. Virginia since they are all on about the same page (except UK) I believe that the top 4 BIG EAST schools (Miami, Cuse, VT, BC) could compete for the SEC title every year if you all say that Auburn, Georgia, SC, Miss St, & Arkansas all have a chance every year. I would have thrown in LSU to that group because they had been eratic prior to Saban. Not putting you guys down, but what do you think?

It is a shame that $$$ from a shoe company influences a school's look. It's not like these schools don't receive enough cash from ticket sales, booster support, and now just about every 1A squad gets a kickback from the BCS because of their conference. Hey Swamp, don't put down the BIG EAST so much because as I see it they have the reigning National Champions and the SEC is 0 for ... against the BIG EAST in the Music City Bowl. How'd ya like them apples? A UConn Husky
