  1. RBS won by 10!!!! 46-36 FINAL
  2. I would not say in any way that RBS didn't show up. The first half was good, but the 3rd quarter only scoring 4 points hurt bad! RBS does not live and die by the 3. AS for that, you have no idea what your talking about! RBS doesn't have one person that is consistently hitting the 3 so for them to "depend" on it would be ignorant! Wix was not over the back because you have to block out first. They simply out played us the last few minutes of the game. They hit the big shots! We didn't! Plain and simple. However, it was by no means Larry Whites fault! If you think RBS players are born with the knowledge and ability, think again. Not taking anything away from those girls, its just that he puts alot of time and effort into them and he KNOWS the game!!!All coaches yell and say things. Thats part of it!!!! I've heard Jim Brown, Rick Insell, and even Pat Summit for that matter say all kinds of things to their players. To me, thats part of getting the most out of your players. And as for him taking people out after missing "a few" shots or making "a few" turnovers, when something isn't working you change it. Thats what he does!!! We have 2 players on the bench that can really spark the team at times so there is nothing wrong with mixing it up!!!
  3. RBS act like we won a state championship? Please tell me you're joking!!!! Coach Carter jumped up and down like an idiot, but what else should we expect. What class he displays!!!! Ours players and coaches tried to tell them "good game" however we couldn't get there attention due to the celebration. Congratulations Macon County on beating one of the smallest single A schools in the state. However, you better watch out because with that new "practice gym" we are going to get as opposed to your new football stadium (What did you have 1 winning season in the past 20 years?) and the new school your getting you guys better be ready!!!! Please note the sarcasm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And as for the toilet paper, can you really not think of something more original?Oh, my bad, of course you can't.
  4. Heady got hurt and didn't play almost the first play of the game. Taking nothing away from Pickett. They played good, but it did make a big difference with Owens not being there. Not saying it decided the game though! I thought that Meador did a great job on the boards, but that was it. He wasn't hitting his shots at all and he wasn't really playing hard in my opinion. They gave up early in the game and that is why it got ugly and stayed that way. Hanging your head every missed shot, turnover, etc. does not win ball games!!
  5. Granted RBS hasn't been playing to their potential and so forth, however don't sit and criticize when you haven't been to a game all year MUFFIN!!!! I'll go ahead and say you have the right to your opinion, because I know that is what you will say! I get tired of seeing you bad mouth all these teams and make all these scoring predictions when you haven't been to a high school game since your son quit the team 3 years ago because you as one of the many sideline coaches thought he should play more. News Flash!!!!!! But every parent in America thinks their child is the best. It is the coaches decision to play who he or she thinks is the best. So, get that huge chip off your shoulder already!!!!
  6. Jordan was also in double figures as well. Snow got 23, but Whitney played awesome defense, as did the others, and didn't let her get alot of 2nd shots! Clark handled the ball like she should and could have been handling the ball all year! She made some jaw dropping passes!! So did the Ramsey girl from Clarkrange. Kayce hit three 3 pointers and finished the game with 15 points and Stayce continues to play her A game. Also, freshman Painter handled the intimidating Clarkrange like a pro. Great job by Michelle Snow! Awesome player!!!
  7. Celina played our 8th grade mostly at camp. Our freshman played mostly varsity.
  8. Again, If you would have read my last post. I only was explaining to her why our players were emotional and probably did things they wouldn't normally do. I was trying to explain, or apologize, for our girls behavior.
  9. This is it and I am dropping it, but I don't have a problem with Westmoreland. I couldn't care less about what they say or do! Like I posted before, I wish more teams would come and cheer on their schools. I was only explaining why our girls were emotional.
  10. You were not there! This thread was not about who won or lost. It was about what was said and done at the game! I know we lost. I was there.
  11. Our girls played good the second half, but we still did some things that beat us in the end. WEstmoreland played good, so don't get on here saying they didn't when you weren't even at the ballgame. And as for you Ms. Black, what I was getting at was when you fouled out of the game on Saturday night you were very emotional and upset.(Even though your team was winning and did when the game.) So imagine if you fouled out of the last game of the year and your season was over. That is what I was getting at!!! And as for you Westmoreland, tomorrow you will get a chance to play against the kind of competion we here in 7A compete with night in and night out, so welcome to reality.
  12. We can take a cheering section. In fact, we encourage them. It makes the game more fun. However, emotions were running high!!!! When parents are yelling comments directly at kids this time of year it is hard to keep your composure. Our girls were playing with all their hearts and the games get emotional. As I recall Ms. Black, when you fouled of the district championship game at Watertown your emotions seem to get away from you. It happens this time of year!!!!!!!!! By the way, good luck against Clarkrange!!!!!!! You'll need it!!!!!!!!
  13. Westmoreland by 6 or 8! I left before WHS finished shooting free throws.
  14. I believe we all need to drop this topic, however when you don't know all the facts it is hard to get on here and run your mouths. Taking absolutely nothing away from Celina's coach, how can anyone say Micheal Owens did not deserve that award. If the situations were reversed you guys would be on here ranting on about everything, so please understand where we are coming from. Michael got the trophy he wanted last night!! I just hope he continues to get the rest of the trophies he and his team have worked very hard for all year long!
  15. The sign was all in fun! The girls would have done the sign the same way regardless of who got "Coach of the Year". They all know Brent and were just having a little fun!!! RBS fans and players stood up when other teams accepted their trophies, because each team played their hearts out. However, we did win the DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP for the 1st time ever in the history of RBS boys basketball, so excuse us if we are a little excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Don't give in to the trash talkin' with these people. They will go on for days like they did with MCHS. We are a better team than they are, and will prove it come tournament time!!
  17. Why don't you just stick to basketball comments. We have all heard the same remarks from you plenty of times. I this is between you and Macon, so leave it at that.
  18. The name calling is really uncalled for. Why are you on here bragging about something that happened a year ago. Get a life already. I know who East Lit is. I was joking, but I guess I should have known that it would have gone way over your head. I never said you guys weren't any good. I think your boys have huge hearts and that is why you came close to winning. But, you didn't. Not this time and probably not next time. Go bulldogs!!!!!!
  19. The truth is you didn't have "your best player" so stop using that as an excuse. Where was this kid anyway? We won, you lost!!!! Now don't start bringing all kinds of crap from the past years. Get over it already! You guys lost to East Lit!!!!! Who are they anyway! You are on here bragging about beating a school 10 times smaller than you!!! Congradulations!!! Did you also beat big Hermitage Springs? You guys must be awesome!!!!! (Note the sarcasm, please.)
  20. I find it so sad that MCHS can't just take a loss and get on with it. Just last week you people were on here saying it was the refs fault for your loss to Westmoreland. Now you are on here making remarks that have nothing to do with basketball. You LOST!!!!!!! Getover it!!! Everytime you have to say people don't know how to read or that they are redneck or uneducated!! Well, you dear, seem to be the one who is uneducated. Or maybe just simply immature. RBS boys won that game and if you played them 10 more times they would win at least 9 of those games. I am not saying MCHS boys aren't good. They hav as much heart as you could ask for as a coach, however RBS has more overall talent. In all honesty, our boys didn't even play to their best ability Friday night, but they won and that is what is important. Way to go bulldogs and keep it up!!!!!!
