White Co. girls are playing in the Ladies Classic in Greeneville, TN.

Pinkpanther-I to do not understand why you would say Jackson Co. clearly had the better team. Both teams are very good. I heard the Warriorettes beat them in a scrimmage just a couple of months ago.

JCHS-Looks like White Co. brought their "A" game tonight. It was a good win for White Co. over a very good Jackson Co. team.

Great win for the Warriorettes over a very good Jackson Co. girls. Score was 51-46.

thekeg55..Mr Dycus{principal} has faculty keeping their ears open so that any rude words are not said in the cheers. I know this because I have attended games since the late 70's. Sparta fans have class because the students and older fans ALL act in the same manner. No vulger words, great sportsmanship, and appreciate good bball. I don't know the exact records, but the girls alone won the district 9 years in a row {1989-1997} and Cookeville didn't get a win at all then. I figure they went about 0-22 or so during that strecth alone. That's not counting all the other years in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's when we won numerous district titles. I know Cookeville has won the district only a couple of times over the years. Just come to Sparta and look at all the state banners hanging on the walls then look at Cookevilles state banners. NO CONTEST. Sparta has more wins and tradition BY FAR than Cookeville EVER will.

Sadler...Writing stinks on your board is poor sportsmanship and I you can't deny it because I saw it with my own eyes. In my opinion you should not be allowed into a game with such poor sportsmanship.

That's right. I'm a Sparta fan. You will never hear the Sparta fans using "stinks" in their cheers. We have great sportsmanship and the principal would NEVER allow it. It shows how much more class Sparta has than Cookeville. I don't why you use words like that in your cheers anyway. I've been watching these 2 teams go at it for 25 years and Sparta has won AT LEAST twice as many times as Cookeville has. Maybe Cookeville should look in the mirror.

thekeg55- Cookeville does have lots of students at their games. But, when they are using the word "stinks" in their cheers{which they do quite often} that is just downright poor sportsmanship. The faculty should not allow it. I know where I went to school that if the students would do the cheers that Cookeville does our principal would be right in our face telling us to stop immediately.

When does the 1st poll come out? Or has it already? Thanks.

White Co. plays Jackson Co. at 7:00 Sat. night. Maryville girls are also playing this weekend.

White Co. must play all of the following twice....Oakland, Riverdale, Cookeville, Livingston, Upperman, Blackman. They also have Jackson Co. this Saturday{Dec. 21}. Doesn't get much tougher than that.

Maryville girls play at White Co. this Friday. Anybody know their record? What about some of their best players? Thanks.

Should be a good one to watch in Sparta. Warriorettes are playing pretty good this year.

I see all of you{benchcoach,pinkpanther,and fastereddie} at the White Co. ball games. I'm not talking about Wal Mart or Food Lion pinkpanther. I'm talking bball. Nobody knows me though. He He.

Someone started a thread on the boys board as to what District in the state in AAA is the toughest. What are your opinions as to which girls AAA District is the toughest. I say 7-AAA top to bottom is the toughest. I believe there are at least 4 teams in 7-AAA right now that have only one loss.

Toughest is Dist. 7-AAA. I'm pretty sure Oakland, Riverdale, Cookeville, and White Co. all have only one loss right now. The Tennesseean had its top 10 midstate poll in the paper today{Dec. 16th} and 3 of the 10 teams were from 7-AAA.

White Co. won 59-45. Pinkpanther is right. It was closer. White Co. led by 6 to 8 points most of the way then hit their free throws when Livingston started fouling. It was a good quality win for White Co. over a good Livingston team. Pinpanther-D. Allen quit the ball team{don't know why}.

Livingston is at White Co. tonight. Should be a good one.

Layup-I don't agree with everything you are saying. I am a White Co. fan and say give Slatten to the end of the year and if he can't win dist. games get rid of him. He was 0-10 last year in the dist. and didn't win a dist. game the year before he came to White Co. He is a proven loser as well as a proven winner. Although I do think if you take Kirk Haston away he would have never been a winner. I do think Bibb would have been a good choice. He played college ball and had great coaching there, then he tutored under Whited who has won with and without talent everywhere he has been. I don't know how you can say he has done a great job with what he has. He hasn't even won a dist. game yet. How has he done a great job? Ten wins last year{0 dist. wins} and fewer wins than that this year{might win 5 or 6 games total}.

Any other info would be helpful. Who else starts? Etc. I have heard this team is really good.

Livingston plays at White Co. Saturday night at 6:00. Should be a good game between 2 good ball teams.

How many losses do the current 8th grade boys at White Co. middle school have since they have been in middle school. I would like to have the total number of losses in 3 years if anyone knows. I hear they have a very good team, but I have not seen them play. I know that Ross Jolly is Brents brother and I know that Curt Clark is Ambers brother but I don't know much more than that. Anybody???
