  1. Fellow Giles County fans, I have to go with Gomab and Baconbreath...Tyler plays Tylers game...if he decides he wants to coast...Tyler will coast. There is no doubt in my mind that Tyler could be the best player in the state, but until he decides he wants to give his all every game, he will be 2nd to Jamont...yes, I said it...Jamont. As many negative things as I have heard about Jamont, he is still averaging 30 + pts/game...he helps his team win those big games along with the rest of the easy games. I love watching Tyler play, when he decides he wants to play...for instance, the first meeting between Giles and Bradley...he was unstoppable, because he had that thought in his head. He was throwing moves down, that the likes of that crowd have never seen on a high school basketball court. As for Prince taking Tyler to the rack...probably not!!!!
  2. Thanks for the stats Baconbreath. These two teams are closer than many may think or want to admit. Giles County is probably closer to Bradley than Bradley is to Whites Station as we will see tonight. I am not knocking Bradley at all, they are a tremendous team, with outstanding talent, but I don't think they can match White Stations ten or eleven man bench. Giles County so desperately needed competition like this, since the district and region are so weak. Maybe this year, when the substate rolls around, they won't be suprised when they see a team like Bolivar or Southside. I can't wait to see the Brandon Wright...Tyler Smith matchup...WOW.
  3. I agree Smokey...23SMOM...after tonight, you guys can say again...as in White Station drummed us AGAIN. They will beat Bradley by 20+...AGAIN. They will beat you in the STATE...AGAIN.
  4. Wade, you can send an e-mail at ... and I will give you the real address. MAS...I contacted the THS Athletic Dept. and the guy that is videoing is supposed to call me back and let me know if we can get a copy. They did tell me that Coach Holt would be getting a copy of all of the games that GC plays in, so we will get a copy one way or another.
  5. MAS...I may have us some videos, I am waiting on a call back right now.
  6. Columbia Central, why don't you go back to your Love Connection thread, cuz obviously you don't know jack about basketball and their aren't any girls in here that wanna hook up...
  7. Wow...this isn't CoachT anymore, this is the Love Connection....I am so moved.
  8. As much as Channing is the key for success, Tyler, Shay, Kash, Justin, & Zach must be the leaders that they can be. They must step up and play defense like they did yesterday...no slacking. They know, first hand, what Bradley can do if they slack for one second. The game can end as quickly as it started. Bradley is one heck of a team with a lot weapons from deep and when that deep ball isn't falling, Suiter is waiting under the basket. J-mo must box out and get every rebound like it is his last. There will be no room for error in this game...coaching and playing. I hope Coach Holt learns from what happened last time and doesn't let it happen again.
  9. Tcross, I hope they are ready for tonight. If they can manage to get out with a win tonight, they could possibley face White Station...I would like to see how we matchup with them...if we can match up with them.
  10. That game was played at Martin College...it is in the city of Pulaski, but the Giles County High gym, where sub-state will be played, has not seen a loss in over a year...sorry for the confusion.
  11. Twhoops...just curious, how would you rate Irmo, SC...were they Girl Scout Troop 32??? Everyone said they would be tough, but Giles pulled it off and now we have a rematch of the AA vs. AAA Exchange Club Classic from a couple of weeks ago. What chance does Giles have of upseting the Bradley team this time. We all know who is the favorite, but we all know what Tyler Smith and company are capable of. They were 4 minutes away from pulling a major upset 2 weeks ago, CAN THEY GET THE JOB DONE THIS TIME?
  12. The sound didn't work on mine either. I have sent an e-mail to the link on the Arby's site asking if their would be videos available after the tourney...if that works like the rest of the site, I will probably never hear anything.
  13. Didn't Channing play tonight...I thought I saw a number #24 running around for Giles County.
  14. Wade, I wish I could go with you...I may have to see what I can do.
  15. Giles has already played a close game with Bradley Central...a game that Giles County should have won, but let it get away at the end. Tomorrow night should be very interesting. Anyway, I am proud of the guys...they have beaten one quality team anyway.
  16. Did Bradley Central win...if so, it looks like another GC vs BC game tomorrow...OH MY
  17. Opperman...look at the teams they have already faced...Bolivar, Raleigh Egypt, BTW. You are right, any team can be beaten on any given night, but the odds of that happening with this WS team are very very slim. Ridgeway could possibly give them a scare, but I don't know if they are deep enough. Just my opinion...
  18. I was being sarcastic, because every time someone starts a thread about Tyler Smith...people say the same thing...both are amazing talents and deserve all of the hype they receive. Enough said...
  19. SATCHUMP...I couldn't agree more...simply pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Well, Twhoops, I am breaking my promise from the other thread and I am going to reply to your post, because it was pretty good. AAA- White Station hands down...if they are on, they could be NorthSide with no problem...if they are off, then it won't be that large of a margin. AA- When I watched Giles County vs. Bolivar and Giles County vs. Ridgeway, I couldn't imagine there being any more talent in the Memphis area...then I watched White Station play Bradley...unreal. Bolivar could have very easily won the state last year, just one half-court shot away from getting their chance. To me, Bolivar was probably more talented than Ridgeway and I dont' think Bolivar lost anyone from that team, so they should be a shoe in to be in the finals. However, if Giles County wins their region and gets the sub-state in their home court, we could see the same thing happen again this year. The gym in Pulaski hasn't seen a Giles County boys loss in over a year...and they probably wont' this year. One thing for sure, Bolivar and Southside will have to play in the region to decide who gets to travel for the sub-state. Raleigh Egypt will have to face BTW, who has already beaten them this year, in the region play-offs. It is all too possible to see things unfold the way they did last year. Giles County has everything going in their favor all the way through the substate.
  21. Well, it also helps that there is open enrollment in Memphis. White Station is much like the Shelbyville girls team...very talented and deep due to the first mentioned fact.
  22. White Station will have no problem making out of Memphis...Jackson Northside could cause some problems, but I doubt it. I would almost be willing to bet that the AAA finals will be White Station and Bradley...White Station will repeat.
  23. Couldn't see this thread coming...another Jamot thread...lets call him Michael Jordan and be done with it.
