  1. Well Soddy is the most obvious mistake. They should definitely be ranked higher - third, and who knows, possibly second behind Baylor. Might could pull a big one out with Bradley! I also think that Ryan is ranked too high. Sure they won state last year, but I don't think they're as strong this year. I see CBHS before them, and even McCallie (although I'm a bit bias). But McCallie has a different team now than is being judged upon. Cleveland... I honestly don't know where to place them just yet. But I guess maybe after this weekend we will know!
  2. Ummm I already see several 'mistakes' with this poll... Guess the start of the season now will make those 'mistakes' apparent!!! Look forward to it-
  3. Dearest BearCat- I'm glad we're back to our old banter. Can't stay away from it too long! And what's this about my panties in a wad!? No wads here... I'm too excited about the EBE's season to be wadded up just yet! To answer your last lingering question, I am extremely bias on this topic, but why not go ahead and say what you all expect me to say! Two weeks ago, had you asked that question, my answer would be there is absolutely no way McCallie is runner-up behind Baylor. Today, my answer has changed. There is a lot of talent in that blue room. More so than we thought would be at the beginning of the season. With the exception of possibly one weak weight (which will not be unveiled!), blue's got some good talent at every weight. Solid dual team, GREAT tournament team-
  4. Oh smart guy huh? Fair enough, fair enough! Someone would have to be an idiot to say that Baylor is not a good team, better yet, not a championship caliber team. All I'm saying is, they're not the ONLY team. Although you kids over at Baylor may see it that way, your thickly tinted red glasses are obscuring your vision of several other DII schools that are going to refuse to be ignored much longer when it comes to a championship title. If Baylor wins it again, that's great. Not exciting. But great. But this year, I see excitement coming, not just another 'typical' outcome. Better start defogging the glasses. I see some other colors coming into your view real soon-
  5. Tsk tsk tsk - I know better than to get into this discussion so early on! Don't get me wrong, I love the rivalry and generated discussion more than anyone, but I'll get myself in trouble making my predictions now! I admire your enthusiasm though 95!!
  6. Pretty sure your post is false. I was wondering if you forgot Father Ryan won state last year, not the 'big red machine of Baylor'? But I do encourage underestimation - too much pressure always holding title of 'the best' - Don't worry though, this year is sure to be a battle. I don't see either of the above mentioned teams laying down easily. 'Big red machine' is going to be in a tighter race than they, and obviously you, think!
  7. Oh don't worry there fairy! I was by no means claiming a state championship for this season, just that there is a sure hope now as opposed to the initial thoughts on this season a few weeks ago when practice first started. BearCat should probably reconsider his 'nickname' for our precious DII - with Baylor, McCallie, Christian Brothers, and Father Ryan, I will be the bold one and say that those four teams could rival any DI team. So no need for JV division name calling BearCat! I'll give you Soddy. I'll give you Bradley. Possibly Cleveland depending on how the coaching changes effect the team this year. But pretty confident you should deem us higher in your 'intricate' mind!
  8. Ahhh here we go - My first post of the season. Ole BearCat pulled me out of my hibernating cave! Ummm surprise surprise! McCallie will most definitely be a threat for it. With certain great starters quitting, leaving, switching schools, the season seemed dim, but as previously mentioned, GC always comes through. The school's got too much tradition to NOT be in the running! Heads will be turning this year, as a strong from top to bottom team comes out ready to claim back a state championship. Don't underestimate the blue this year. We're baaaaaack!!!! Oh and I have no need for spies - privileges of being an insider boys!!!
  9. Back. Off. And spell Connell correctly. That man deserves to have his name spelled right!
  10. Shouldn't have waved at you that day! Love your comment above. Since you know me, I'll take that one personally!
  11. All this does for Baylor is cut the winning gap in half. Instead of killing everyone by 80 points, they'll win it all by 40. We'll see. Should be an interesting 2 days.
  12. CupCake- any insight on this from your side of things!?
  13. Heard the same- maybe not common knowledge yet...
  14. I'd say a couple of those are a little off...
  15. Man- I figured I should weigh in here being that my legs are being talked about all over this board! Haha but I will have to say, I definitely have you all beat! I guess we'll just have to have a "best-of-the-legs" competition at state this next week. Boys, wear your best pair of shorts (or for some of you, skirts and dresses, my personal favorites, will work too!) I'll definitely make a strong showing!!
  16. Looks good but you left out 125!
  17. Actually the top bracket is as follows- Ryan vs. St. Benedict BA vs. McCallie The bottom bracket- MBA vs. Christian Brothers Baylor vs. MUS The top bracket is going to bring about some very interesting match-ups!
  18. So... where should I pick up my award!?!?
  19. Hahahahaha - what is this mess!?!?
  20. Haha I like it mtnrasslin, I like it. I'm glad someone took my post in jest! I'm glad you fall under both categories! I look forward to a very exciting match tomorrow!
  21. Really? I was unaware. YOU CAN'T BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR. Make sense now Texass!?!?
  22. Word on the street is you better get your tickets fast folks!! Sounds like they will be on sale until 5:00 tomorrow afternoon and then it's no ticket, no entry!! A poor way to do it if you ask me, but that's how it must be! I'm sure if you're super lucky (aka a Baylor alum or an extremely powerful person) you could wheedle your way in at the door having not bought a ticket prior, but who's to say that's for sure? I'm just part of the "inside track of McCallie!" As for the predictions, let's just say I think some may be more surprised in the final outcome- or at least the score that is. I'm banking on a lot closer one kids!
  23. Oh CupCake- I can understand your point and your evidence seems legit and if I weren't me and didn't know the truth, I'd probably believe your info too! So I'll give you that. But as is a little obvious lately, I seem to be one of the few strong McCallie voices on this site so I defend all the McCallie guys. But the only one that seems to be talked about lately is TJ, hence me "rushing to his defense!" So truce here! I understand, but you see my point now! I guess we can be friends again... haha are you going to be able to make the match Friday?
  24. TA60 - since you're new to this board, or at least your screen name is, I apologize. Sort of. Haha no but really the comments you made just get old because people have been saying things similar to them for years now. You're right, I did lay it on a little thick, but at the time you were the straw that broke the camel's back if you know what I mean. It's just rough seeing people constantly hate on TJ. Things are in the past. People need to move on and accept it. The kid has been very successful thus far. Let's just dwell on that. Once again, my apologies.
