  7. Great job girls on a big win. You girls worked hard and deserve all of the praise and honor that goes with being Sectional Champs. Congratulations ya'll were the best TEAM. You have great players but you girls understand that it is a team game and the goalis not how many points can I score. It is all about the WIN. Ya'll are a Great Team and it a pleasure to watch you play and improve every game. I look forward to seeing you on the floor next month at the State Tournament and then in a few years to watch you play on that same floor. Congratulations Coach Blackburn on doing a wonderful job with these girls. Your love, care and respect for these girls was very easy for everyone to see. Continue the good work you started this year. Girls one last thing. You have made your school, your parents, the community, and your coaches very, very PROUD.
  8. It was a great game. Cheatam Co. scored the first two of the game but Moore Co. never trailed after that. Moore Co. led by 8 on two seperate occassions but Cheatam Co. always battled back. Moore County's two post players had 16 points each and Cheatam County had no answer for them. Great game between two very good teams and a Great win for the Sectional Champion Moore County Raiderettes!
  9. I know that Moore County South #1 beat the North #4 William James last night 46 - 13. Also Cheetam County North #1 beat New Prospect South #4. Tonight South Lawrence South #3 Plays North #2 Harpeth at 6:00. The other game today has Chapel Hill South #2 vs North #3 (Can't remember team) not sure of time either. I had a bracket but misplaced it. The Semi-finals are Thursday at 6:00 and 7:45 I think. Finals are Saturday not sure about time.
  10. As for throwing a forearm it is very possible. As for not shaking hands I have coached for 10 years and have always shaken every hand of every player and coach that my teams have competed against win or lose. That is sportsmanship and class. Maybe you are not familiar with it. As for not scheduling Moore County in the future that would be impossible since they are in the same district. Another showing off his lack of information. Santa Fe showed their class last year when they came to MC when a boys player cussed fans and flipped them off. It just seems to me they just don't like losing to us very much. But that is the same old song we are used to. It is a shame that the teams can't compete hard and shake hands afterwards and congratulate the winner no matter who it may be. We had a hard fought game at SF which we lost in overtime but everyone shook hands and congratulated SF after their win. It just seems to me that SF has a problem with that part if they are the losing team.
  11. I was at the game and the game was not called one-sided. The officials let both teams play physical especially inside. There were fouls committed by both teams that were not called but they did not decide the outcome. Moore County was clearly the better team last night. As for the coach yes he received a T and was made to sit like every other coach. Moore County defended Sante Fe very well last night and that was the difference. They never let White or #20 get going offensively. By the way 20 may be the dirtestplayer I have seen in a long time. She threw elbows, forearms, and even kicked a player last night. And refused to shake hands after the game.
  12. After a little down time the Lynchmob is back. Sidetrain - I know you are happy your girls are ranked #1. Word to the wise watch out for Lincoln County they are getting hot. Jefferies has found her shot again and their defense is playing lights out. Jamie Roper - Your girls have their fate in their own hands. Moore County and Sante Fe both have to come to your place ya'll beat both on the road. Hope you are feeling better by the way. Unionvegas - I know your runnin' gunnin' queens have started 11-2. But they will never get any respect until they stop scheduling Webb, the Hampshire Hogs, This Christian school and that Christian school for 14 of the 21 games they play. They had a big win against Giles County and might have more if they would only schedule them. Good Luck Queens. Oh yeah by the way Moore County over Sante Fe tomorrow night 48 - 45. The Lynchmob
  13. ptguard12, Did not mean to imply that it was busting your bubble. There are teams out there who had heard this that would think that Moore County might be easy pickin's. That was to whom I was referring. I like you would hate to see any kid get hurt. Whether it helped or hurt my team. So good luck to everyone and hope everyone has a safe year. Not quiet sure why you were lied to though.
  14. Sorry to bust everyone's bubble but Vanessa will be ready for the begining of the season. She did have knee surgery but not reconstructive and she is fine. I don't think she will even miss the start of practice. It is amazing what medical science can do these days.
  15. I will put my predictions on here a little later but the top 4 are: Moore County Richland Cornersville Sante Fe
  16. She played for the Pride out of Hooptown. The rumor has been out there since AAU but not true.
  17. Come on Jamie you know possessing and smoking that stuff is illegal. But you are right on a few things. Summertown would have won the state if their point guard had not gotten injured. Like Steve Nash she was the straw that stirred the drink. They missed her defense and her playmaking ability. They would have to be one of the favorites this year. Red Boiling Springs should be good again this year. Forrest will be in the mix as well as Collinwood. The Mighty Raiderettes should be in the mix if they play up to their potential. And yes your Lady Raiders should be a factor this year. I think a lot of people will over look ya'll. So this is everyone's notice beware of Richland.
  18. No my kid never played or wanted to play for Shelbyville. Just a coach telling the truth. P.S.: Don't have to be a hater they never have beaten me.
  19. This is what has happened. They don't have very much talent in Shelbyville. They don't have teams in the younger age groups or when they do the teams that they are fielding are not very good. It is hard to recruit 12-15 ten, eleven, or twelve year old kids that their parents are willing to travel from all over the state to play. Not meant as a bash just the truth.
  20. From what I have seen the Shox are the best in the state. Point Guard 12 where are you?
  21. Moore County 12U girls team is looking for one post player to fill out our roster. If you are interested you can contact Eddie Helton at [email protected] or call 931-759-5165
  22. Still have a few spots left. Hurry before we fill up.
  23. The Moore County Raiderettes AAU Club will be holding a Play Day on March 24 - 25 with no entry fee required. We have gilrs teams from 9U - 17U and will guarantee each team three games. There will be a gate charged and a concession stand will be provided. If you are interested we still have some spots left. Contact Eddie Helton at 931-759-5165 or 256-679-2639 or email [email protected] for more information.
  24. Fanning was the starting point guard. McKenzie was one of the starting posts and Mooney was a starter at wing. Both the Vanessa and LaToyia Pinchion will be back next year. Helton and Crawford were the first guards off the bench this year and should start next year. Geerdes and Tate are senior posts that should see a lot of playing time. They will not be as deep next year but should be very talented and as good as anyone in the district.
