Little Reb27, I'm sorry to hear that. No one from BA has suggested that Franklin is anything but a good team. No one has ever questioned their heart or their desire to win. In fact, everyone I know from BA on here has been supportive of the Rebels this year and complimentary of their success. I have no problem with you or BDD feeling like Franklin is #1 in Williamson county. That is not the point. You should be feeling good about your success. The polls, like CoachT in gereral, are for fun and should be a place to talk up your teams accomplishments. But, if you choose to use a thread like this to make disparaging remarks about other teams, schools or students you are out of line, and you know it. One more time for you and BDD. The point is this, support your team with all of your energy, but do it with CLASS and RESPECT for everyone else.

No, I'm not saying that at all. If BA has a season where they lose to a middle/lower echelon team or two, then you can talk legitimately about dropping them in your poll. That has not happened in quite a while. Are you serious Reb? No disrespect to Fairview, but that is a no brainer (5A - 1 loss vs. 2A 3 loss team) That statement is irrelevant to the discussion. Reb, I am sure FHS is #1 in your mind even before tomorrow night and that is understandable since you are a big Rebel fan. The fact remains that beating Brentwood will not make Franklin the consensus #1 in Williamson county and you know it. The only way you guys will get that kind of respect outside of your own booster club is to get Coach Johnson to step up to the plate and schedule and beat BA a time or two. Otherwise BA's statewide reputation and 76 playoff wins carries too much weight in the eyes of the average fan. I'm sure Flatt would rather play you guys home and home than to gave to travel Illinois! Why not give it a shot?

Well gents... Because this is a totally opinion driven thread, I find it hilarious that I am being asked by faninthestand to provide empirical evidence for my humble opinions... ROTFLMAO My question back to you is do have any metrics on which to base your disagreement? Did I strike a nerve BDD? I believe you personally requested to be reminded of the reasons BA is the consensus #1 in Williamson County. Be careful what you ask for my friend, you might just get it. Do you catch my drift?

We don't have to wait until Saturday BDD... 1. BA has a greater number of quality players which means greater depth at most positions. 2. BA has a stronger coaching staff as a group. 3. Many BA players have been learning the offensive and defensive systems since the 7th grade. 4. BA players are motivated by a strong tradition of excellence. 5. The BA players are better conditioned. 6. BA competes successfully in one of the strongest leagues in the country. Franklin has a good team this year, but they would finish no better than 4th or 5th in the Super 7.

cneagles and others who are concerned with the TSSAA, You need to be directing your questions and concerns to your principal or district superintendent. These people are your most direct link to the answers you seek since the TSSAA Board of Control is made up of school administrators from around the state. I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but complaining about TSSAA policies and leadership on CoachT will not get you anywhere. Spend your energy meeting with and/or writing letters to those who can affect change or have access to accurate information.

Take it to the bank Reb, Franklin has a better than average team but they would finish in the lower 1/3 of the league against BA and the other Super 7 schools.

Unfortunately, this phenomenon has become all too common with many of the public schools in the larger metropolitan areas of the state. Some of these programs have almost no fan support at home or away. A sad situation indeed...

Just curious... What was the halftime score? At what point in the game did Lincoln county remove their starters?

disgustedfan, RTcavs, and other Cookeville HS supporters... I am not from the Cookeville area, but in reading between the lines on CoachT it appears that there are some major issues with the sports programs at CHS. The Cavs have always had good programs in the past. What is causing all of the dissention and discouragement? Is it administration, coaching, parents, players, or all of the above? Good luck, and I hope y'all can get things going your way again soon.

BA returns a strong backfield with David Holbert and Theo Townsend providing a thunder and lightning contrast. QB/S Tyler Griffin is a head hunter in the defensive backfield. A good core group of linemen are returning as well. Their success will most likely hinge on how well Griffin progresses at QB in his first year to start at the position, and how the receiving corps responds to the loss of Chad Fuson to graduation. It should be a great year for the Eagles.

The intent is nothing more than to sit back and take potshots at ligitimate posters like you to see if they can get a response. No thought involved, hust a wierd attempt to get attention. Best solution is to IGNORE them and they will usually get bored and go somewhere else to get their jollies...
