To all of you wb people who think that just cause your on a hott streak that you can beat the biggest and the best of east tn, wake up! SD is the BEST around and wb doesnt stand a chance. sure youve been hitting good but it will come to an end soon, and i think that sd's pitching will do that.Holland is good but they also have 4 to 5 other pitchers that can and will shut you down!!! also sd's line up will dominate burstrum. i know from experience that burstrum is not that good and for him to hold sd to only 1 run must have been a fluke. wb has been hitting the ball well and i commend them for that, but just cause you think you can box doesnt mean you can step in the ring with ali.

Compare his team from last year. Record, district finish, etc.

What kind of year did Ryne Simpson have? Is he going to UT as a position player or pitcher?

I talked to a parent last night about baseball at Maryville, he said that they didn't have more than 3 practices throughout the whole season (even before the season). The kids that live baseball at Maryville have an unfortunate situation; mostly shadowed by the juggernaut football program. Several kids quit the team because of the current situation.

I never thought I'd say this, but if SD's pitching shows up it could be a close game with Halls. They proved they can hit the ball against the best pitching in the state.

It would make more sense to have the state baseball tournament in Nashville at MTSU just like the rest of major TN sports. You know, since it's in the middle of Tennessee, and the people on the eastern side of TN wouldn't have to make a day out of driving across the state.

Halls has proven that they're beatable this year, when SD comes to play, they can play with anybody.

South Doyle will be playing Farragut for the championship.

Where are all those WB upsets everyone was predicting in this tournament? The only real upset that involved WB was when they beat Sevier County.

Delmonico and Eskew collided during the Farragut-Heritage game, Delmonico was knocked out and is supposedly done for the rest of the district tournament.
