    Cascade Game?

ok first of all #7 was talkin smack to freshmen he hit two freshmen as cheap as they come the first one was when we returned a kick for a td and the next play he tries to throw another freshmen down b/c hes trying to bock him wats up w/ that? i think someone needs to stop pickin on the jv and mess with the older guys!!! and the reason our coach pitched a fit was b/c they called a fair catch when the play hit the ground so we get the ball and then they gave it back b/c of the fair catch rule!!so u tell me
  2. I think "the crew" got showed up by the Cascade/Richland Fans, even though Cascade lost. Awsome game Jamar, I loved the smile after the dunk!
  3. CoachTom, Yes I do believe the Cascade boys and their green coach can hang with Jenkins and Shankle. Earlier in the season, C.H. killed Cascade, but later on I think Cascade made Chapel Hill start to sweat a little bit and almost beat them. Anyway, the Eagleville game the other night was ugly; however, I was suprised what great defense they played in the second half. That one those boys the game. If they can play defense like that tonight and if they don't jack up those stupid 3's...these boys will be hanging a banner. I say it will be a great game. Good luck to both of them. Wonder whose student section will be more "crunk" Cascade's or Forrest's...we'll see!!!!
  4. The game was at Richland so it wasn't Cascade's coach who forgot to call in. Anyway, Cascade won by 10 or 12. It was a great game, but rough as you can imagine. It always is when these two teams play. Does this knock Richland down to 2nd with Cascade and Huntland? If it does I don't see them staying there for long. Richland still has to play Moore Co., Eagleville, and Chapel Hill. Congratulations to the Lady Champs!!!!
  5. I heard at half-time of the boys game the announcer announced Ashleigh and Alex scored over the 1500 mark, and they were booing Alex. The thing that suprised me the most was that it was the Shelbyville student section. Is this true or was I missinformed? And if it is true, why would they do such a thing?
  6. It was a old fashion, great, nail-biting game. Both teams played really well. Congratulations to the Lady Champs!!!!
  7. We all know what can happen at tournament time...absolutely anything. This is why I'm not going to count my chickens before they hatch, but if I had to say the top four teams in 11A (for the tourney) I would go with Huntland: they are turning it around, and no matter how bad they did earlier in the season they still are one of the most talented. Then I'll say MC: They are just a tournament kind of team, no matter who they lost last year. I do hope they get beat by more than one team in the games to come...just to make things interesting. Cascade: They just have experience and those girls are playing hard. I say they will play for the title with Huntland, I hope they do. That would be such a great game to watch; especially after the overtime loss for Huntland (@ huntland) and who could forget the upset Cascade gave them in last yrs. tourney? They are my top 2 picks. My last team will be Richland, I think they are a better team than what people are making them out to be. I do however, hope that Cornersville will step it up and make things fun. Good luck to everyone! I hope who ever the top 4 are they will dominate the REGION!!!! Good Luck!!!!
  8. I heard Eagleville beat Cornersville. What happened? Congratulations to the Lady Eagles.
  9. I know Karper can score, but I've heard the Harrell girl is an all around better balla than Karper?
  10. I don't recall "bumper" saying it was Sarah Karper!
  11. erin hale is from cascade don't you know that's why she is always trying to put cascade up there with everyone else
  12. I also bet it was "crazy" when Cascade put out Chapel Hill and advanced to the Championship, wasn't it? Do you think just because Cascade was #7 last year ( on a count that they played with 6 players for 1/2 the season) they didn't deserve to do great in the tournament? Everyone knows the talent between Cascade and Huntland was equal last year. Nothing is "crazy" when it comes to tournaments, anything can happen, because it's not based on talent, it's based on guts and heart. No team showed that more than Cascade during the tournament last year, except for on Championship night. However, that is in the past. Everybody remembers the suprises during the tournament last year, and I believe it will be a case of deja vu' through out the 2003-2004 season. There will an upset almost every Tuesday and Friday night. Every game should be a dog fight. Good luck to all of 'em and stay injury free!!!!
  13. Has any district 11-A team scrimaged anyone yet? If so what was the outcome?****
  14. I think both of them could start, but they're new and it's taking them time to get adjusted to Cascade ball. Both have a lot of potential and you could expect a lot from them in the next couple of years.
  15. Truth is everybody does. I think mainly Huntland, Chaple Hill, and Cascade. This is just my opinion. Good luck to all of em'.
  16. A sophomore (guard) from Lavergne and a freshmen (post) from Shelbyville.
  17. Cascade girls are ready to move on from the Bunn situation. Zapper, Cascade should sitll be your top pick with Huntland. They have a lot of determination and they are definately ready to prove everyone in D11 wrong, and show them they can survive without their big girl down low. Cascade has two new transfers and a new assistant coach who they are excited about. Just don't count Cascade out, I promise they'll be in the mix!!!!
  18. Mallory Ayers graduated and Laura Bunn isn't returning this year. I don't think it would be proper for me to post the reasons why she is not returning. That is between her, the team, and the coach.
  19. Thanks for all of that info Sarah! We really appreciate it!!!!
  20. Don't you think you're kind of contradicting yourself when you say Cascade will not be in the top four, on the basis that they lost 2 starters (laura bunn and Mallory Ayers). It's my understanding that Eagleville lost 4 starters; so why do you have them in the top 4? The district is up in the air. Any team can win on any given night. Huntland- has a lot of experience under their belts with Hillary, Jamie, and Marinda. They should be the toughest team to beat in February. Chaple Hill- still has Kori, who is their biggest asset. Houche is also a good player that will help them out also. Community-Courtney Brothers...she should run their show. I think their 5, Laytoya Morton, will shine as well. Cascade- has a great offensive threat will Cowley's penitration abilities and Kristan Armstrong's three-pointer. Conersville- The sleeper team. They should suprise a lot of people this season. They have a great coach and finally they have a little experience. Watch out for em'. Richland- Haley Hewwitt and one of their posts (forgot her name) will carry their team. Eagleville- Haven't heard a lot about them. I know they lost 4 starters and the Sarah Karper girl broke her ankle. This might be a rebuilding year for them, unfortunately. Culleoka- I thought Anna and Paige where seniors last year, but they are this year. This team might suprise a lot of people and I hope they do. These two girls have a lot of talent. Maybe they'll go far?!?!? Moore Co.- Fallon's absence may hurt them a little, but I doubt it. Kaleigh will be their leader, and I heard Renita has improved a lot. Abby's sister should also be a threat. The order I've placed these teams in is not neccessarily the order I think they will be in when Feburary (District Tourn.). Good luck to all teams and may everyone be injury free this season.
  21. Heard about the smiley faces . Thats really no good. I was very dissapointed.
  22. I thought they were returning 2 starters...Fallon and Kaleigh. Is one not coming back?
  23. It should be between Huntland, Cascade, and maybe Cornersville. I'm not a big fan of the Lady Bulldogs, but I'm telling you people, they will suprise us this year if we just look over them. With experience under their belts and a great coach they should be one of the top contenders of 11A. As for Huntland, Smith and Hillary will run this team. With Maranda stepping up when the teams needs it the most. This other girl (a reserve last yr.) with dark hair was good and showed potential. Not sure of her name. Now Cascade, this team has the most heart I've seen in a long time. There was nothing more pleasing than seeing them celebrating last yr. after beating Chapel Hill advancing to the Championship, simply b/c of what all they went through, not only as a team but individuals also. Each of them worked hard to get through it and I still am so proud of them. Cowley is back and quick as ever. Kristan still has her 3. And Bunn is a big as ever w/ T. (Taylor) to get her the ball. These are my top picks, but as Cascade did last yr., there could be a team to suprise us. I also don't think Anna Foster gets enough credit. I think she's one of the best and I respect her a lot. She has sportsmanship. Kori Knight will be good this year, but it will be hard to shine her brightest. She can't do it all by herself. Same for Karper, she's probably one of the best in 11a, but thats just not enough for her team. I hope a good college discovers her, no matter where she is. Courtney will lead Unionville (if certain players let her, and even if they don't....she still will). We got your back Courtney. Haley Hewitt (Richland) is a big threat. I guess thats about it. Good luck to everyone. Can't wait to see ya'll this summer!!!
  24. yeah, Cascade went through more than any team probably. Only having 8 players to begin w/, then having two break their hands in 2 days!!!! Plus, Laura Cowley's house being destroyed by a tornado in the same weekend. They had to play with 6 players for 1/2 of the season. Then around late Jan., every player on the team except for one got the flu. Still they came into practice and worked hard, even against the doctors' will. They finished 7th in the district, but the tourney was a different story. They beat the #2 seed and the #3 seeds to advance into the championship, but didn't hang as well with MC as they would've liked. The way this team pulled together in the hard times, proves that they are strong and that is why they are my #1 pick for 2004. Good Luck to everyone.
  25. How do you think D-11A will be next year? If I had to say right now, it would be between Cascade and Huntland. Cascade returns 4 starters, including "Big Bunn". Huntland, however, is returning 4 starters also. That should be a good rematch to watch. I also think Forrest, Community, and my sleeper...Conersville. This is just my predictions. What are yours???
