this year 1A is up for grabs, i feel that there are a lot of good teams out there but no clear stand out this year. These are my top 8 picks in no particular order: team reason goodpasture the height is amazing for 1A and is going to be hard to stop forrest (chapel hill) if jamar plays hard they can go far, IF HE PLAYS HARD nashville christian when they're shooting the 3 ball good, they're hard to stop ccs (chattanogga christian) big and usually talented temple there on top until someone else takes the gold ball westmoreland intense on D and play hard greenfield back with a lot of good players from last years runner up team cpa back with alot of good talented players this is my pick for who i think should be going to the state, i realize that this is impossible because of cpa, nashville christian, goodpasture, and forrest are all in the same sub state division as well as ccs temple and westmoreland are but these are my picks sorry far east tennessee teams i didnt give you any props but i just dont feel that you are as compeditive in 1A as middle or west

My team would be: player school height 1. andre allen at point (btw) 5'9" 2. shawne williams at the 2 (hamilton) 6'8" 3. corey brewer at the 3 (portland) 6'8" 4. tyler smith playin the 4 (giles co.) 6'7" 5. brandon wright at the 5 (brentwood academy) 6'9" This has to be one of the best lineups. The only problem would be that there are 5 players and only one ball. dunno how that would work out, but talent wise this is the team.

My boy Shawn Morgan at Hillcrest High has got mad hops last year against Mitchell he flushed one right over Thadeus Young. I mean he jumped clean over him. He's about 6'5" and the guy can jump. Wendell Simmons another Hillcrest Viking is a 6'3" swingman that can jump. I seen this kid do a 360 windmill at the Shelby-Metro basketball camp. Dominique Watts a PG at Carver is about 5'8" has been dunking since about the 9th grade he's an incredible lefty with mad hops. You people on here sound bias towards Memphis players I've seen about five Memphis players names there are alot of kids with mad game and mad hops. Hey does anyone know the Hillcrest High School Basketball schedule. If so help me out and put it under their schedule.

how will temple fare without any type of big man. ( Jake Skogen). i know they were small last year and played really agressive defense to make up for the height that they lack. will temple win there district. region. maybe even state again. I saw temple play perry co. in the first game in the state and the skogen by that played point really impressed me. I think his name is caleb. dunno. he can really handle the rock. hopefully he can carry there team now that his older brother is gone. Is the coaching down there really that good. just wondering.

The best of the best in 1A of all time east robertson from 1987-1989. three state championships. wins by 17, 18, 19 in the finals. pretty impressive if you ask me. goodpasture in like 1996 when they had ron mercer, sam howard, drew maddex, like a 6'10" guy inside perry county in 1998 they had kirk haston, corey brown, and a couple of other all stars. they went 37-0. you can't argue with a unblemished record.

Whatever happened to that kid at Hillcrest High In Memphis? I saw this kid play, he was an underrated player in the system but was a heck of a player. He had great athleticism and played multiple positions does anyone know where he's at, is he playing ball anywhere? He was a 6'2 guard/forward. I think he was underappreciated player at Hillcrest.

Who do u feel is the greatest team of all time? By classifacation and overall.

waverly has a pretty good ball team this year with bubba nichols stroking the threes from outside and with the help of the juniors like ricco ralston, curtis reid, and ryan hollis it should be waverly's game. perry co. lost there three best players in richardson, gray, and rhodes. perry co. will play tough like they always do but just don't have enough scorers and leaders. waverly will probably win by double digits ( 10 - 14 point spread).

id say that mcewen has a shot at them. mcewen is 3-0. i know that the teams they have played aren't all that good, but a win is a win. i say if mcewen keeps the potent ezell offense from getting around the corner or throwing the long ball i would say that mcewen has a chance. im from mcewen and i have seen them play. at the game i watched them play, they looked good on the offensive side of the ball. the big men up front blocked, the qb did a good job in leading the team, the backfield did their part in running through the holes the line made, and the wide outs made some good catches. the only bad part that i saw was that mcewen allowed them to run a 55 yard touchdown and a 70 yard touchdown. they will have to pick that part of their game up if they want to run with ezell. but , like i said, if mcewen doesn't let ezell gain the huge yards on them , it should be a decent game. g o o d l u c k w a r r i o r s

That is a classy NCS fan. Yes we did get beat and beat bad, but honestly if Davidson Academy plays like they did against us then yall will get beat by thirty too. I wasn't going to say this I was going to wish Nashville Christian good luck but how can yall even talk when yeah Davidson can beat us and yall but yall can't and didn't beat us. Good luck Davidson

Hey bigchief for the record one of our starters was out that time because if you take a look we beat them by 36 the first time and we beat CPA which I'm sure has beat just about every team in your district once. Hey just come to the game tonight if you want to see us play and then when we win, we'll see if you can talk then. Goodluck to nashville christian too. I hope to see yall in the finals with us.

Hey I guess since yall are so perfect and number 30 never does anything. The reason our fans acted like that was because number 30 cussed at the guy behind the bench and there were abunch of little kids around when he did it. Our fan went to tell the coach and the coach told him to shut up. Real classy for the great coach anderson. It may have looked like it was McEwen whenever it happened but the fact is number thirty can't stand to lose and so he started cussing. Yall need to stop talking about classy. He cusses constantly on the floor, he hit our number 15 in the face 3 times, and I don't know why because he isn't even any good. Hey dude2 what are you talking about when you said Puckett has no class. Just because he is better than anyone yall have don't knock him.

Hickman County is okay. They beat McEwen by eight, but McEwen shot 25 percent from the field. They have a guy on their team by the name of Grant Leaver who can stroke it. Matthew Dotson has a nice inside game to be a sophomore. Their guards are not that good D/L's D should kill them. My prediction is D/L by 20.

I know you have Mcewen 14th in your poll, and I know that they lost to Creekwood but that was because Daniel Puckett had the flu, and barely even played. Since then they beat Clarksville Academy bad they beat your number 6 team NCS twice so far this year, they beat East Robertson and they beat CPA at CPA which is your number 18th ranked team. They should be placed alot better their overall record is 18-4. I would almost be willing to bet money that they make it to the State Tournament this year. Give them some credit.
