  4. i love the riverdale spear, but i also think that oakland's old dark blue helmets with red facemasks and the new grey ones with red facemasks were pretty cool. also, maryville, mba, and ba all have nice helmets. worst helmet--LINCOLN COUNTY!! those red helmets that don't match any of their uniforms are reminiscient of louisiana tech.
  5. well, forever never seems that long until your gone...
  6. it'll probably be whoever we play the first week of december thumb
  7. i'm sorry miss jackson OOOOH!!! i am for real!!!
  8. riverdale's linebackers will be a force: kit hartsfield--6'0" 200 lbs. marcus locke--5'9" 195 lbs. tamar butler--6'0" 210 lbs. BEWARE!!!
  9. man, i am about to look like a traitor here, but luter's cheap shot should be offset by the fact that rahmel oliver leveled oakland's qb two to three seconds after he had handed the ball off.
  10. here's a fact for you--put both of these teams together and riverdale would still outscore them by 35. put that in yer pipe and smoke it. thumb oh, and ambidextrousrock or whatever you call yourself, why are you calling me out on my show of class?? i didn't post anything about a player again, so please give me a break. you know how much sleep i lose over posts like that one from users like yourself!!
  11. it wouldn't be the first time you've gotten the boot for saying something, right region, oh i mean priceless!!
  12. oakland riverdale smyrna h'ville cookeville brentwood lc
  13. WHOA HOOLIE!!! trust me, you DO NOT want to bring up MATT FORREST'S name on this board!! take it from me--i'm still recuperating from the 12th degree burns that 82cat laid on me!!
  14. i think the picture might become a little TOO clear in six days hoolie. thumb keep cheering your boys on. thats what they need right now more than anything--loyal fans like yourself.
  15. hoolie, i admire you for sticking to your team and having faith in them. and you're right, anything is possible in football, especially in this area and this region. and although i think it is great to be an optimist fan, i still think you need to be a realist as well. i think 6-4 is a little too steep for siegel this year. don't get me wrong, siegel will become a contender at some point, but not in my forseeable future. i agree with blazer's prediction of 3-7 for the stars, and that is something that, if they accomplish it, the stars can be proud of.
  16. south panola is always stout. the germantown game should be a great test.
  17. if you can't tell by previous post, i know how wrong i was. forrest is amazing. case closed.
  18. much to the dismay of blazer, i have pulled my infamous "matt forrest" post from this thread. in doing so, i hope that the catastrophic imbalance caused by my post will correct itself and that there can be peace on earth once again. i hope that 82cat can get his deal back together after my post evidently turned his world upside down and made it hard for him to deal. heaven forbid that someone speak the truth on this forum, so i just want to take the time to say that matt forrest may is one of the greatest athletes i have ever laid eyes on. the reason i wrote that earlier post about him is because i'm so jealous that he is no longer a riverdale warrior. cat, i am so so sorry for disrupting your universe and making your life difficult. i am probably the worst human being to ever post on coacht, but i did receive the "Man Of The Year" award this year, in which i did not even know i was a nominee. COACHT IS A PLACE TO POST YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT FOOTBALL. I EXPRESSED MY PERSONAL OPINIONS IN THAT POST, THATS ALL. IF ITS OKAY TO SINGLE OUT ATHLETES TO PRAISE THEM, IT SHOULD BE OKAY TO SINGLE THE PLAYERS THAT ARE NOT "GOOD" AS WELL.
  19. easy cat. i have seen the kid play and i just don't believe he is a great athlete, nor do i think he is near as good as he thinks he is. just a personal opinion (we are still allowed to express those on here, right?) if the blind amputee wise cracks were really that hurtful, then i apologize to all who feel offended. BUT, i do not take back my opinions of him as a quarterback. if you're so offended, run and tell coacht to pull the post. but it won't do any good to try to persuade other riverdale users that my post is sacrelige because chances are they saw him play when he was at riverdale and they agree with me. and, oh yeah, cat--do i get a trophy or a plaque or something for my "MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD"?
  20. shut up blazer. dang, that was shot off champ
  21. i have "the run" on video tape somewhere in my house. you're right, it is amazing. i would have to say that another one of my favorite runs would have to be from 2002, riverdale vs. blackman in the playoffs. down once again in the second half, we muscled up and took a small lead with about three or four minutes left. then, derente frazier (when he was still somewhat of a team player--sense a little resentment?) took a pitch to the left and ran about sixty yards down the sidelines untouched due to a massive block from our wide receiver that took out three pursuers. that run sealed the game and kept our record against the blaze perfect.
  22. not trying to brag, but my freshman team at riverdale was amazing. the only game that was even close was against cookeville, which we won by a score of only 19-0 after our bus driver drove our entire team to chattanooga and then backtracked to cookeville, and that game didn't even start until 9:00. We blew out everyone else and pitched like 6 shutouts or some rediculous number. we also won the tullahoma lions bowl that year over lincoln county's frosh squad who was also undefeated at the time. the halftime score of that game--35-0. starters got pulled and we wound up winning like 49-21 or something. and remember, that team had stephen britton at qb, rico turner at tb, corey hathaway at fb and mlb (before he hurt his knee), taron henry at wr, brian campbell at wr, kenyon buford at ot, cortez lawrence at ot, jeramey anderson at ng--all of these players earned some type of all-state honors before their time was up at riverdale. also, several others on that team earned either all-region or all-area honors in their years at riverdale high school.
  23. just wondering which one of this year's studs you guys think will win mr. football from riverdale. my pick is gaston miller, but then again, the possibilities are endless. oh yeah, STAIN TRAIN DOOOOOOO-DOOOOOOOOO!!!
