  1. Ok, so maybe a few fans booing at bad calls, and players taking cheap shots at other players can be expected at basketball games. But what about players cussing other players and both members getting a technical on it, even when the other didn't participate in it. What about the other team's cheerleaders taunting the home team? I had to sit out of tonight's game, but don't think for a second that I wasn't furious at watching the rest of the cheerleading squad get slandered with words that I know aren't appropriate for this message board. And over what? Because they thought we did stunts weird? Because they felt that it would justify themselves if they mocked us by doing the same cheer everytime we finished one? How immature is that? This is nothing new to the Clay County cheerleading squad, but we only take so much. After an entire game of them pointing, whispering, and continuing to mimic our every move, two of the cheerleaders decided to go over and sort things out with the others. It failed... miserably. They continued to call specific girls from our squad very hateful names and said they weren't going to stop. What is the deal here? Has sportsmanship gotten so out of hand that cheerleaders can't even watch a game and cheer for their team without being distracted by 10 other girls that can't keep their mouths shut? Some people might say ignore them, but this happens at almost every game, home or away. It's not a competetion to see who's got the best cheerleaders. You're supposed to go out there and show your spirit that you have for your team. However, it makes it a lot difficult when other teams challenge you and will do whatever it takes to get you to do the same.
  2. I think Celina is coming along just fine. Our game Monday hurt us, but tonight we made a lot of improvements. We didn't get as much practice as we wanted to before our first game, but I think we're going to continue to improve and be able to win some key games. Our first District game against Hermitage Springs will be tomorrow, and we're all excited about it. With a great Senior pitcher (Deanna Donaldson), an infield that works really well together, and an improving outfield, I think we'll be all right. Good Luck Ladies!
  3. Swanson, there isn't any way rbsdawgs could have graduated.. not by his grammar, spelling, or.. well.. anything associated with typing. I sure hope he can walk the walk because he certainly can't talk the talk. Celina's going to be just fine tomorrow night, and I know they have a really good chance of winning. It's going to be a good game, and I wish I could be there. Unfortunately, our softball game against Hermitage Springs is in the way of seeing my boys play. Good luck guys, this one's yours!
  4. Hey guys, I dont wanna repeat everything that's being said about you guys, but you deserve every bit of it. From what I hear, you've come a long way since last year. Each one of you has had their own special moments on the floor, and I got to experience the majority of them with you. I've only been here with you guys this one season, but I've grown to love cheering you guys on to victory. I regret that I wasn't on the floor last night with the rest of you and getting incredibly hoarse, like I normally do. I'm finally getting over the sickness though! You seniors did so great this year, I can't begin to tell you how great it was to watch you. Celina's not known for a lot of things, but anyone that hears the words basketball and Celina in the same sentence knows exactly what's being talked about. Love you guys, can't wait to cheer you on next year!
  5. I agree! Our guys are lookin gooood out there! Keep up the good work guys I can't wait until you play some of the teams that aren't giving you any credit
  6. 1. Dusty Adams - Celina #24 2. Eric Stafford - Celina #33 3. Chase Stephens - Celina #10 4. Jon Frazier - Celina #44 See a pattern? We did too! GL Boys! Dusty may be little but he's a heck of a ball player. That boy can jump! being a little on the short side has it's advantages. he may be a little dingy off the court (like some of his fellow teammates *cough* chase) but he can play both ends of the court pretty darn good! Man... I'm so dead after today... you guys dont go plottin my murder or anything anytime soon.. we all love ya! Good Luck tonight against Temple! ~ Cheerleader, Manager & Loyal (but really crazy) Fan
  7. Me and my girls think that #10 Chase Stephens should definitley be one of the finalists at least for all that talent that this guys got! He might lack common sense off the court but hey, it's what happens on the court that matters! He might act half retarded in class but does that stop those 3 pointers? NOPE! Even that adorable face he makes when he gets fouled.. it's so innocent looking! So go to the Temple game tonight and see if this is really what he's about. We love you Chase.. don't kill us! ~Manager, Fan & Cheerleader :D

dang RBS what's your problem? I don't know anything about what happened last season in baseball because I just moved here over the summer, but if, in fact, you are talking to Coach Mac, then I can assure you that it's highly improbable that he intentionally meant to hurt one of your players. From what I hear, the pitcher last year had an aiming problem, but he didn't do it on purpose. However, that's no excuse to accuse a coach of such things and talking the way you have on here.. it's totally disrespectful and there's no valid reason for it. I know Coach well enough to know he's way above telling his players to try and put yours out of the game. But yeah, I'm anticipating this game even more now that you've opened your mouth and made yourself look like a joke. Best of luck! [Edited by CelinaCheer on 3-6-03 10:44P]
  9. First of all, I dont know what is up with you guys dogging Celina the way you are. "Celina's getting what the deserve"??? You act like we won our games by luck and by some miracle, made it to regions and lost to Friendship. So what exactly was your excuse the first two times you lost to us in regular season? Sorry, but there's no excuse for the put-downs I've seen on here for our girls. They are the most humble team I know of and have a lot of talent. Sure we had a bad night, but does that deserve all of this? No, I dont think so. Best of luck to Friendship and Westmoreland tonight.
  10. To Mal and the rest of the Celina Lady Dogs, we could not have possibly asked for a better team this year to represent Celina High School's last season of basketball ever. You girls went out every game and gave it your absolute all, showing everyone the talent that each one of you possesses. This loss has taken a toll on all Celina fans and we feel as if we were deprived of going further than this, knowing it wasn't supposed to be the end of the line for us. However, you girls are state champions in our eyes and always will be. Last night's game might have been the last for Mallory, Holly, Deanna and Megan, but you girls will never be forgotten for all of the talent you've let shine throughout the years. Thanks for a great season girls, we love you! Monika
  11. Are we gonna have fun this year or what? I'm really excited to play this year and I love all of you guys... it's gonna be a blast! See you guys at practice! ~#7
  12. I just want to wish Celina the best of luck against Red Boiling. I wish I could be there to cheer you boys on, but bronchitis and pneumonia mixed together doesn't make too happy of a cheerleader I love you guys! Do good and play your hardest! You deserve this win and you guys know it
  13. Hey girls, just wanted to tell you what an awesome job you guys have done this year. I've loved cheering at every game for you guys and I know these next few games are going to be very exciting. You girls have worked so hard to get where you are, and we're all very proud of you. We're all going to miss Deanna, Holly, Megan and Mallory very much, also. You girls have a lot of talent and have given every team that you've played tons of competition. Keep up the awesome work girls. Now with all that said, let's go to state! Good Luck everyone!
  14. This game's going to be a nail biter for sure. Celina is #1 in the 1A division and #8 in the whole state, so I have faith in my girls, they haven't let me down yet! I'm excited to cheer at this game tomorrow night, it'll definitely be worth it. Good Luck girls, I know you can do it!
  15. I agree with Pilot. The only reason this is a repetitive issue is because Pickett can't deal with a loss. Celina has more than moved on, but you talk to anyone from Pickett County and they'll stick their nose up in the air just to say it was a bad call and we never should have won. Well guess what Pickett County.. you had your second chance, you lost, and you'll lose again in our house.. so get over it! There's nothing worse than sore losers.. and you guys have made it loud and clear that's what you are. And please.. get your cheerleaders under control.. they've got way too much mouth for their own good.
  16. I'm glad to see Clarksville High doing so well. I just moved over the summer from there and I haven't been able to keep up with their basketball this year, but it seems like they're doing all right. I knew they would with Quinn, the boy's got talent. Keep up the good work CHS, wish i could be there to support you!
  17. Kinda funny.. how Pickett County runs their mouths about getting ripped off with the 3.5.. and then our Lady Dogs end up beating them by that much.. i think it's fair to say it shut a lot of people up. Don't say that game didn't count.. it was a big game for both teams and Celina showed Pickett County that they didn't have to have just 3.5 seconds to win.. they shut them down early. Just wait until they came to our house
