  1. Sycamore lost all their size with last years class. Shay Williams and Zack Bailey are gone, the 2 recievers that hurt Greenbrier the most last year. Greenbrier is way too big on both sides of the ball. Expect Herndon to have around 200 yds. on the ground. Greenbrier - 42 Sycamore - 14
  2. Sycamore will finish the season 3-7...they will beat Harpeth and Giles Co. I don't see them beating Page, Marshall, Cheatham or definitely not Greenbrier. 4 strait playoff appearances on the line. Good luck boys.
  3. Crockett has to keep Herndon from making the big plays. He will get his carries and his yards but if Crockett can keep him out of the open field I think they have a good shot at this game. Sycamore did a great job of slowing Herndon down last friday...he had 27 carries for 128 yards, which isn't exactly stopping him, but they managed to keep him from making the long runs. I have no idea on what Crockett needs to do offensively. Greenbrier's defense will probably be the best they've played all season. I think Greenbrier wins it 21-14.
  4. I would just like to know what clamclam will say on here if his cubbies get beat on friday night? How bad of a game they played...Who was hurt...excuses, excuses, excuses. I don't see why he won't give everyone his number...everyone would like to know if he is REALLY the STUD that he thinks he is. I know if I was in his position, where I was telling everyone how big of a stud I am..I would surely want everyone to know who I was so they could come see me show-off on friday nights.
  5. Marshall still has to play Greenbrier and Sycamore. Both of those teams are very capable of beating them. If Sycamore beats Marshall then Sycamore is 3rd and Marshall is 4th. Page still has to play Creekwood who is playing some great football right now, they almost upset Marshall last week and beat Montgomery Central this week. Any of these 4 teams can make a run in the playoffs.
  6. I don't see Page putting 35 on the board against Greenbrier's defense. I see it being a low scoring game..much like Greenbrier/Sycamore. I'm going to pick Page 14-7...
  7. I think Cheatham Co. will win this game convincingly but I still don't understand why or how a cheatham co. player could come on here pointing out how bad a future opponent is. Loretto is not as much of a push-over as ''ClamClamChowder" states and I can assure you that Sycamore is not either. Loretto has lost a couple of close games, 21-20 to Harpeth and 34-32 to Giles Co. After looking at Sycamore's schedule they lost to Rossview by 3, Page by 10 (I heard it was 20-17 late in the game) and they lost this past week to Greenbrier by 4. Greenbrier has a running back who has had 200+ yds rushing in 3 different games! According to the Tennessean Sycamore held him to less than 100 yds. Good luck to Cheatham Co. the rest of the year...just don't take any opponents too lightly.
  8. Did Herndon play? If so, how did he do?
  9. this was a great game that came down to the wire. Page's defense played very well in the first half. Their offense didn't start on their side of the 50 yd line the whole first half. The score was 20-3 at half-time. In the second half Sycamore made a good defensive stand and gave their offense decent field position. Sycamore scored 2 unanswered td's. With about 5 minutes to go in the game the score was 20-17 with Page driving. Page fumbled and Sycamore recovered on their own 15 or so. The very next play Sycamore fumbled with Page recovering. A few plays later Page scores making it 27-17. Sycamore had 7 turnovers compared to page's 2. Offensively the two teams were probably pretty even on yards but the turnovers absolutely killed sycamore, 4 of them coming in the first half. Page maybe had 75-80 yds offense in the first half and had 3 td's.. Good luck to both teams on the remainder of the season
  10. These 2 teams have the best record in the region so far this year. This should be a great game...give me some of your opinions on the game..
  11. I think Sycamore's QB will be the best in the region this year. He will only be a junior, has around 4.6 speed and has a great arm. He was a little raw last season but I look for him to improve a lot this upcoming season.

    Sycamore

Who does Sycamore play for their spring game?
  13. What's the scoop on Roger Herndon? I've heard he has some great numbers in the weightroom, and that he has some blazing speed. What kind of arm does he have? Does he have anyone to throw to or will Greenbrier be a running only team? I will be suprised to see who they have in the backfield running the ball this year. They lost some key runners last year.
  14. My mistake, I was directing that statement mostly towards Marshall, although, Greenbrier will be very competitive as long as they keep doing what they are doing in the years to come. I will be excited to see how much Greenbrier's Quarterback (Herndon) has improved. He was very good last year and was only a sophomore. I've been hearing a lot about Sycamore's up and coming QB, Garza I believe is his name...He had a great arm last year and showed some speed at times, he was also a soph. Does anyone know who will be taking Gentry's place at QB for Giles? Whoever it is has some pretty big shoes to fill. I read that too, about Sycamore's coach leaving. I haven't heard if it is true or not.
  15. What does everyone think about the teams in this region in 2003? I know Marshall and Greenbrier will be at the top, as usual, but the other 5 spots are up for grabs. Giles Co. lost their play-maker in Travis Gentry, Montgomery Central had an impressive year last year and are expected to only get better. Creek Wood took the place of Cheatham Co., they are a new program but you never know. Sycamore is expected to be somewhat better than last year and Page is always loaded but there are a lot of questions surrounding that team. Anyone have anymore info on these teams?
