  1. It's pretty common actually. For Example, Cleveland City Schools and Bradley County Schools are seperate systems. But if a county kids wants to go to Cleveland they pay $500 and they are in. Same thing with Blount co. and Alcoas city system. Heck, at Cleveland the coach will pick you up in Soddy Daisy and drive you there apparently.
  2. No they laid the ball on the ground a few times. The first Bradley TD was set up by a Polk fumble returned to the 1 yard line. Then in the 4th trailing by 3, Bradley punted and Polk let it bounce and it hit the receiver and Bradley got it on the 10 and scored. Soon after, Allen threw an interception to a Bear linerbacker to lock it up. Polk couldn't do much on offense at all. Bradley was better and faster, but without the turnovers probably still wouldn't have won. Polk didn't look as good as last year, and Bradley didn't look like they would win any games that they shouldn't win this year. 6,700 paid attendance though and great atmosphere. Overall though, average football, nothing spectacular.
  3. Not sure if anyone has posted this but former Charleston Pitcher Matt Hammonds passed away today, he was 37. Matt played at CHS between 1987-91 where he was 3 time district and region MVP and all-state in 91. In 1990 he led the Panthers to the state championship game against DCA. Matt was one of the best around on the field and even better off the field. Just wanted to let any former opponents and friends know.
  4. You must not get out much....Cleveland's terrible....Bears won't beat anyone else on their schedule after possibly East Ridge...but enjoy this one
  5. No, Coaches Monroe & Gatewood asked for the scrimmage at a track meet in the spring at WV. I heard the whole thing. Why would the possible 5A state champs want to go against an 0-10 4A team??????? Not sure, but OHS looked great, and WV is light years ahead of where it was last year.......just maybe not against Ooltewah.
  6. Sorry to interrupt this argument, but just wondering.....is that BTW 200 vs. Holly Hills 50 score correct or is that a misprint?
  7. I really don't want a Bradley/WV debate at all. I would just like to see people weigh in on the WV subject that actually have some real knowledge of the program, not a WV hater that saw the one Bradley game and now knows it all.
  8. BCrising....4 wins and now Bradley people are experts on all things football. WV will be rising soon, but BC will never be able to get above 4-6 in that region. And if you knew much about the game you could realize, WV didn't play the varsity down in JV games. It was the JV playing on Friday nights. Very few seniors that made any difference. You'll be able to recognize talent better after the 07 season. Mostly because you'll realize you lost all yours and have none coming up.
  9. Can any of the White Co. fans tell me what JJ Taylors final stats were for the year. He was very impressive.

Yes, SP is way down and maybe for a while to come. But, let's not forget that they won a state title less than 10 years ago under Danny Wilson. So to ask if they even have a program seems a little harsh doesn't it?
  11. BC fans it will get better, it has too. But, you don't go from the outhouse to the penthouse over night. As far as your scrimmage against Knox Catholic I'm sure it looked better than last year but, that is 1A size school with about 200 total kids. And East Ridge is an average 3A team. Not exactly Oak Ridge, Ooltewah, etc. Keep your heads up but lets be realistic here.
  12. Knox Farragut (Dallas Cowboys replica) Gallatin (Green Bay replica) Alcoa Riverdale
  13. Ok, I don't mean to get tedious on this but, if the players stats don't count how do you have total yardage, rushing yards, etc. The guy we played ran all over us with seven TD's in two games. He carried most times. So the team totals count even though they were the ineligible players???
  14. As I posted on another thread.......Bradley was outscored last year 490 - 37 pts. 37 pts. for the entire year! No new coach can turn that around in one year, not even Lombardi himself. Bears are looking at 3-7 season at best. And should be happy with that much improvment.
  15. Bradley was outscored last year 490 - 37 pts. 37 pts. for the entire year! No new coach can turn that around in one year, not even Lombardi himself. Your not second in the Hamilton Co. area. Bradley is not even second in their own county.
