Ive heard that Lackey will be back after christmas and that if it was tourney time he could probably play right now but hes sitting the extra time for precautionary reasons.

McEwen does have one of the best players in the state but that schedule is very weak although they have been beating up on people pretty good. I would say that CPA and Ezell will be pretty good competition in region but the district is way down.

if a player works hard all week in practice then gets a chance to get in the game it would be worng to tell them not to play or to go half speed. Its a sport dont expect people to feel sorry for you. Maybe if you pracitced as hard and worked as hard as the team that is blowing you out you wouldnt be getting blown out. Another thing thats funny about people running the score up is that a team thats not that good will get blown out by a great team and the parents will complain about the score being ran up but when the teams thats not that good plays a team that has no talent at all its all smiles from the same parents when their team is up 70 to 10.

I havent been at NCS for 2 years. Why are you the one telling me to get a life when you are the one that gets on here and types long pointless posts that are completely off subject?

1. No one should ever mention Tyler Smith and Lebron James on the same thread. Lebron would have threw down on Tyler Smith when he was a freshmen. 2. No one should mention Tyler Smith and Shane Dansby in the same sentance. Dansby couldnt handle Daniel Puckett, and Corey Brewer dropped 50 on Dansby. Tyler is on a whole nother level. 3. Tyler Smith would hoop on everyone on Austin Peays roster.

It seems like everytime I post you have soemthing to say about it not matter the subject. Now... I would know what a D1 player looks like because I watch more HS basketball than anyone you know.

I seen Palmer play against Jamont last year at Glencliff and I wasnt impressed either. I couldnt figure out what the hype was about. He didnt look much like a D1 player and I didnt see why he was being recurited by any big schools.

As NCS alum Ive seen Puckett play many many times. He is the real deal and has the talent to play SEC ball. He is the only player on his team that can bring the ball down court and continues to win games. As for him beeing guarded by someone his size, last year I watched the McEwen vs Harpeth game where he went head to head with Murray St. signee Shane Dansby and Puckett showed him up dunking on him a time or two and coming up with some big blocks. I think Puckett scored are 40 points that game.

Nashville Christian had a pretty solid team the past two years, but now it looks like they are in for a tough season or two but expect them back.

I have to go with B. Wright. He might end up being the best TN player of all time.

The answer to your question is no. NCS lost all 5 starters from last years team. They have no size and 2 freshmen in the starting lineup which are the most talented players on the team. They will struggle this season but will hopefully get better as the season goes on.

I think its funny how everyone is saying Hillwood thought they were going to win 42-14 and how dumb of a prediction Hillwood made by saying they were going to win 42-14 and Hillwood this and Hillwood that when I was the one that made the 42-14 prediction and I dont go to Hillwood nor have I ever went to Hillwood. Hillwood didnt make that prediction. I did.

I will admit I made a pretty bad prediction. I knew it was a stupid prediction when I made it and a I knew for sure it was dumb when I heard about Hillwoods terrible week of practice, people not showing up to practice, players arguing in practice and walking off, and 3/4's of the team thinking they were going to lose before they ever got on the bus. Hillwood doesnt have enough discipline to beat a team like WH. Not speaking of all players but a few who didnt really care if they won or lost. I make dumb predictions because it gets people roud up and its funny. I didnt really expect Hillwood to win but I will say I thought the game would be a bit closer than this. Which I do believe if peoples was healthy and some Hillwood players took football a bit more serious then it would have been a good game. Football is a team sport and the better team won. If Hillwood plays up to their potential this game will get ugly. Before the playoffs that Hillwood would blow out Northwest get by Stratford and handle either Overton or Whitehouse. White house might keep the game as close as Stratford did if they are lucky. Hillwood has too many weapons. My prediction Hillwood 42 Whitehouse 17.

I cared...one time in the great town of McEwen at the district championship game NCS was down by 2 and a oldschoolncsballer who happend to be wearing #24 got fouled with 0 seconds left on the clock while shooting a 3. He stepped up to the line...the gym was packed...the crowd was loud...the game was on the line...it was his moment......free throws....a fundamental of the game....a shot he had been taking since he was 5 years old....he missed the first one.....just 2 to tie and send the game in to OT.......he dribbles.....he shoots...he misses.

You sound like a big fan of Dotson. He is a very good player and we can go back and forth all night but I still dont think he has what it takes to make noise in the SEC. Freije was taller stronger bigger and better than Dotson coming out of highschool. Freije did not have a limited athletic ability. Also I'm still looking for the Duke players that arent athletic.

warehouse, ive seen Dotson play and I was thinking the same thing as gomab. I hope it works out for him at Tennessee but i dont think he has the athleticism to make much noise in the SEC. Dont you think there is a reason Dotson had a few mid majors looking at him and no big schools was even giving him a look until UT came out of the blue. I'm not trying to put him down or wishing bad on him because I hope everything works out but I'm just calling it like i see it. I have been wrong before though.

Watch out for Leah McAllister from Ezell harding. She was a key varsity player last year as a 8th grader and has done nothing but improved. She can play all 5 positions on the court and has great size for her age. She has to be one of the top freshmen in the state.

Webb, Bailey, and Doaks seem to be the front runners but I do believe Travis Sikes and Daniel Puckett both have a legit shot.
