Bigchief, That was a dumb post! Jamont is a 16 year old kid.Many kids have done this like that, but thats all a part of growing up! So you you need to get out of your own butt and see the true talent of this kid. He is in my opinion the best player in the state and top 25 jr. in the nation by far! I am picking Glencliff by 17 with Jamont scoring 36pts 13reb 7ast 3stls 2blks and 3dunks!

Moore and Bullock from Columbia are 2 of the best in 8AAA as well! Bullock is a good post player who can also step back and shoot the 3. Moore can do it all on the offensive and defensive end.

The Columbia Central girls are playing good basketball this season! They are a very young team only having one senior. The play of Bullock and Moore, to go along with Ross and some of there younger players are turning them into a team to be worried about. They have a very good defense and all there loses were in close games! This is a team to worry about and District 8AAA should keep there eyes open! Good job lady lions and good luck Friday againist Shelbyville. I will be there cheering yall on!!! Any thoughts????

I got too see Jamont play again 2nite and he amazed me even more! He can score at will, thread a neddle with his passes, and as Sneed from Blackman knows, put you on poster if you get stupid and decided to jump with him. Blackman played a good game but Jamont took over at key times! I have got to say i am very impress with what i have seen so far in this tournament and will be back 2morrow to see him go up with Henry Harris. That will be a good game, DONT MISS IT!!!

BA is going to give it to Columbia if Columbia's leaders dont step up! Steve Gray is one of the most underratted players in the state. The boy is as strong as an ox, but Wright is very long and tall and that will give him problems, but steve is going to get his. I played with theses boys last year and I thought they were going to hold it down for us but they havent did nothing but let me down so far. Tony was a big lost but now its time to pull together and play TEAM BASKETBALL like we did last year! Steve, Zac, and Alston have got to step up to the plate and lead this team back in the right direction! Lets go boys, your are make our 31-4 state semi-finals team look bad! Gomab, I have to correct you on your statement about Fred Sparkman holding Tyler Smith to only 6 pts. The person who held him to six pts. was Courtney English, a baseball standout from Columbia who plays at motlow state. He was the player who got 3 over the back calls againist Tyler and had him on the bench much of the 1st half, so I give Courtney mad props on stopping Tyler last year!!!!!

Columbia is the team to beat. Every year they lose key players but they always bounce back and rain as 8AAA district champs. They have to adjust to a new coach but they should get through that. If Steve Gray plays up to his standards to go along with Walker, Enyard, and Richards, they will be 8AAA champs once again. COTY STRING,remember that name. Shelbyville will be strong as well. They will be 1-2

There is some very good talent in the mid-state. Here are a few: Pitchers- David Price-Blackman, Kyle Smith-Riverdale, Kenny Griffin-Tullahoma,Jeffrey Lykins-Marshall Co, Primm-Oakland, Zack Gray-Columbia Outfielders- Jeremy Laster-Hunters Lane, Ahmir Watkins-Blackman, Courtney English-Columbia Infielders- Justin Fields-Lavergne, Michael Richardson-Oakland, Grant Nickell-Columbia, Tyler Broshers-CA Catchers- Alex Watson-Riverdale, Jeff Blackman-Tullahoma Now, I know that I left off a bunch of players but these are the ones who came to my head first. So dont jump down my throat!

Farragut is going to have there hands full. I think that they are going to lose this one in a closegame. Houston's pitcher is just to strong for Farragut! But you cant count them out, they have been playing good this year!

Grant Nickell from Columbia hit 14 homers, Bobby Bratton hit 13, Courtney English and Josh Oliver both hit 5 homers. Columbia hit 42 homers as team this year. That is pretty good!

Who pitched for Tullahoma?

Courtney English signed with Motlow State today. He had an outstanding season batted .494 to finish the regular season with 3 homeruns and is batting 517 including postseason play and a up his homerun total to 4. He was selected to the All-District Team for the Second year in a row. Courtney ended the season batting right at .500 with a total of 5 homeruns. He play very well in the District Tourney batting well over .500 with 2 homers,including an 1 in the championship that went around 400 ft easy. Keep working hard and doing what it takes to make your a better ball player! Best of luck Courtney!!!!!!

I agree with you totally in your post! There is a lot of people who made all district in 8AAA who no themselves that they shouldn't have made it! Its a joke on how Coffee Co had 6 players who made all-district but i guess its not my choice! In the MVP case, Courtney English is playing like he is the MVP! He was 3 for 3 in the first game vs Shelbyville and 3 for 5 in the second game againist Tullahoma with a monster homerun! But i guess there is something you will never figure out!

Yes Coffee County gets the week off but they are also going to have to go to either Riverdale Oakland or Blackman and play them at there field and they are three of the hardest fields to out of with a win! I dont think that Coffee County cared about those games and they will see Monday what they are going to have in store for them! Hold it down for District 8AAA and the best of Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
