Any homeruns hit by Richland? In the game they beat the crap out of us (Mt. Pleasant) Ingram had 2 BOMBS! Who pitched for the Raider's?

Way to go Raider's, I'm from Mt. Pleasant and ya'll kicked our rear ends and gained my respect as I stated in another post. 'da Raider's are a much improved team from the one we played last year. Ya'll have worked hard and gotten much better, something we didn't do over the course of the year. My congratulations to the team and the coach's for a job well done. Keep your eye on the bullseye and good things will happen. So from one 'ole Mt. Pleasant fan good job and good luck. Hey can you give me a run down on the game the score indicates ya'll whipped dem dawg's just like you did MP.

The new head coach will be RICE from Perry County, and the new assistant will be one of the young asst's at Lewis County.

Of the 16 teams remaining in Class A Baseball how many are PUBLIC SCHOOLS? Unaka, Powell Valley, Rockwood, Christian Acad. of Knox., Boyd Buchanon, Chattanooga Christian, Westmoreland, Friendship Christian, Goodpasture, Davidson Academy, Richland, Columbia Academy, Jackson Christian, University School of Jackson, Halls and Peabody.

Richland beat Mt. Pleasant today 10-5 with clutch hitting , timely homeruns and very good pitching. They were a much better team than last year and that's a testament to them as player's and to there coaches. I will also add they played with great class. Good Luck Raider's in your quest to make to State.

Just wandering if anyone knows, on the TSSAA web site all brackets are filled except for 7A, 8A, 9A, and 10A. If u know who is champ and runner up in these districts please post.

The newspaper this morning says Richland won 6-1, and that means Cornersville will travel to Columbia Academy on Monday at 6 pm for Regional semi and Mt. Pleasant will travel to Richland, paper sez either at Richland 4:30 pm or at Sam Davis Park in Pulaski at 7:00 pm if anyone knows where this game will be played please post.

Mt. Pleasant defeated Summertown for the 4th time this season in the loser's bracket final, 4-3. Then in the District 12-A Championship game Columbia Academy posted 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to pull away from the Tiger's of Mt. Pleasant for a 15-9 victory

District 12-A finally got to play some baseball today. Game one saw Columbia Academy defeat Wayne Co. by the score of 14-0. Mt. Pleasant defeated Summertown 10-3. Then Summertown beat Wayne Co. in the Loser's bracket semi 14-?. In the night's final game the winner's braket semi, Columbia Academy beat Mt. Pleasant 3-2. Tomorrow Mt. Pleasant will play Summertown in the loser's bracket final @ 5:00 p.m. and the winner will play Columbia Academy @ 7:00 p.m. in the championship round. Had to play all these games today because of the rain.

Does that mean that Cully and Chapel Hill are now done for the year?

I got word that the positions are being posted (the teacher's jobs I presume) and that the new head coach and his assistant will be named in 2 weeks. The names I hear are Ricky Rice from Perry County as head coach and his assistant will be from Lawrence Co.,or maybe it was Lewis Co. Just thought I'd tell my story and see what u gents think. I'm a volunteer assistant baseball coach and during a recent game after what I thought was the 3rd missed call of the night by the same umpire I decided to confront the man, after a brief argument I was ejected from the game and the campus. Upon receiving the form from the umpire(s) the TSSAA sent the copy to the principal of which I had to have a sit down with and he read the copy to me and it was deemed I was some kind of raving mad man, for voicing my opinion of the said umpire's calls. I've had the coaches class and understand physical or verbal threats will not and should not be tolerated. I feel a good 'ole fashioned baseball argument was overlooked here. I got the $250 fine and 2 game suspension and have been removed from the bench until further notice. I was also told that soon volunteer coaching would be revisited by the TSSAA and possibly removed from the agenda. I volunteer because I love the game and the kids, heck you have to love the game and the challenge of coaching to be a volunteer coach. I guess somewhere I missed the change from baseball and all the things that are part of it to protecting the umpire. I'm not saying it's a bad thing more like it's a sad thing. I will continue to be a volunteer coach as long as allowed and hope the thousand's of others across the state do the same, but it looks as though we will be eliminated in the near future. WHAT A SHAME!

Talking about tough! This coming week Mt. Pleasant ranked #8 in the state in class A will be playing #2 Columbia Academy, #4 Jackson Christian and will play a very tough Franklin Co. and Chester Co. team. The last three will be in the Independent Appeal T'ment @ Adamsville to be held Thur.- Sat.

After a almost winter Saturday with some cancelations, and Sunday possibly even colder. Who's in a BIG game Monday? MT. PLEASANT WILL PLAY COLUMBIA ACADEMY AT HOME IN A MEGA DISTRICT GAME.

Mt. Pleasant 11-2 for the year has scored 139 runs and given up 21. In there district alone they have scored 103 runs and given up 11. The lineup is not solid top to bottom as of yet but it's slowly getting there.

Andrew Scharrer Mt. Pleasant High School. This guy is a gammer, maybe not the biggest but plays with MAJOR INTENSITY, Can carry the team, a leader. Also I would give a nod to Giles Co. catcher Ryan Price.

Word out of Mt. Pleasant this week-end is, Perry County football coach Ricky Rice had a VERY good interview for the Tiger Football head coaching job on Friday. From all the word I can gather IT'S A DONE DEAL. Coach Rice has been Mr. Wolaver's pick from the get-go but, Rice according to sources was not interested in the MPHS job and was more than happy at PC. Funny how a little time and money "Whoops" did I say money can change things.
