Zach has been playing well, and he is getting more opportunities to drive. Benji hasn't had as many touches in the past few games because teams have keyed on that, and either put two or three guys surrounding him, keeping him from recieving a pass, or played a zone to try to accomplish the same. But, your are right, youdon'tknowme, there have been times that the pass was available, but wasn't thrown. I'm sure the coaching staff has addressed the situations and have been trying to improve the overall play of the team. However, youdon'tknowme, all players are expected to play solid defense, and hustle, and box out. Are they some that are better than others at each? Yes. But, on offense, the team is expected to try to get the best possible shot, which is an open shot, by anyone on the team. Yes, when needing a score, I'm sure they will try to find a score by the best possible scorer or match-up. That's just simple coaching. Yes, Benji Jacobs and Zach Lambert are two of the better players in the district.

Youdon'tknowme, I know you said that you weren't meaning that towards Coach Windle, but it seems to have an undertone that points someone to that conclusion, after reading it. Is there something like this going on in your opinion? Does he not do a good job? Is he a bad motivator? Do you have examples of your opinions?

Im looking forward to seeing this one. Both teams are evenly matched, and should give good effort, especially in a rivalry game like this one. I think Oneida has the advantage in this one, because the game is at Oneida.

Orangenation, showing that kind of attitude and insight, makes you more valuable. A true competitor knows to give all he has on the floor, and play to win with all of his ability, and to expect that from the other players. Then you can respect each other for they are just like you. True competitors. I'm sure that the coaching staff is working hard to improve the Oneida team... but truth be known, it's all the players' hard work that's paying off. They are the ones that are giving the extra effort, not only during the game, but after practice and on weekends. See, you can't coach heart...

Regions 1 + 2 play Regions 3 + 4 play District 4-A Tournament is @ Wartburg. Region 2-A (district 3 & 4) is held at Oneida.

First of all King did not quit, he had better career opportunity and he took it. You can't blame a man for that. And what threeball said i think both teams have a great coaches. Each staff works hard, and gets the most out of their players. I have talked to king and don't think for one minute he doesn't miss coaching. Good luck to both teams. I hope the best the for SHS AND OHS.

Scott will have to play very well to beat lenior friday night. lenoir is very big and strong, i just hope scott dont have a let down after getting beat by ac. I do believe scott will win this one by 4. ro8432 you better worry about beating Oakdale the next time you play.

I think Coach Windle has done a great job at Oneida this year. What he done at the Scott High game was wrong but everyone makes a mistake. He has took a group of young men and made them a pretty good basketball team. Any one that saw them play last year would know that. I was a member of the 90's teams that were so good. We were dedicated and focused and the only thing that matter was winning and winning with class. Athletes today are not the same as they were back then, but give Coach Windle some time he will get the Oneida Basketball program back to its winning ways. Just give him some time and u will see.

District 4-A gets a good taste of where these two teams sit after tonight. Any predictions or comments?

Clinton beat William Blount??? Are you sure? The score I heard was WB won by 20 something. I know that Clinton beat Anderson Co by 1 @ AC. But, without a couple freshmen that play varsity, they tend to struggle. However, when AC played them, they had everyone. Update on the Oak Ridge Freshmen Tourney...Oak Ridge plays Maryville in the championship game thursday night. Should be a great one to watch. OR beat Cumberland Co, and Maryville beat Anderson Co. in the semi's. [Edited by turnaroundJ on 1-29-03 9:57P]
