Its called the kids who stepped up and filled the holes left by the seniors. The o-line is pretty good, the backs are good, and chaney looked very poised and comfortable in the pocket against seymour. Doubt me now but wait and see, this team has a lot more playmakers than you think. Tell me the last time a team scored a 91 yard touchdown pass agianst maryville? Mind you it was the jamboree, and maryville might not have been showing much but still. This offense has much more of a big play threat than in the last 2 years. the other teams in '02,and '03 had the threat they just didnt use it. Sevier co is gonna surprise some people this year, ask caleb moore how good they are. He ran all over them in the first half gained almost 90 yards, and in the second half? How about ten? ya thats wat it was. Dont look past these bears, i think they're getting back to where the program was a few years ago.

Can't say that i agree to much with the predictions. Sevier co is much better with the offense than last year and the d is boosted up to, and halls is more than likely worse than last year. Need i remind you the score last year was 35-0 sc. This game wont even be close, look for pate to have another big game, he had 175 yards in the second half alone agianst seymour. This game wont even be close on paper.

Seymour looked bad because sevier co made them look that way, after the first half sevier co did just about wat ever they wanted to on the ground, Seymour isnt a bad team, so dont say that. Micheal Serafine is one of the best wr's in east tn and caleb moore can flat out play. But size and better conditioning let sevier co have there way in the 2nd. Halls is just as bad this year as they were last year, and comparing them to farragut isnt much. Farragut is nothing compared to wat they were in the late 90's. Sevier co is gonna run all over the halls d, they scored 35 on em last year, and the sc o-line wasnt very good at all, and they looked pretty dang good at seymour, i don think seymour even had a qb hurry or nethink like that. Sevier co is a lot better this year than in the past 2 yrs, halls is just another bump in the road.

ya i agree on the passing game scott. But seymour did play hard in the first half, i'll give that to you. But in this game the depth, size and experience took over. Something sevier co hasnt had in a long time in any category. Good luck to seymour in the coming weeks, maybe we'll have all 4 county teams in the playoffs agian this year. Well sevier beat halls 35-0 last year with a team that wanst very good at all, and with the showing at seymour with the running game its gonna be a long night for halls. sevier co in a rout, 48-7.

And to say the offense didnt look good because your defense busted the coverage, you sound a little sour over the loss to me. And caleb moore is wats gonna carry yall this year, that boy can play. But back to my question, how was the offense not impressive, maybe not the best in the world, but they had almost 125 yards in penalties and still scored 40 points. And yes seymour is 3a and sevier is 5a, but in a intra-county rivalry you can just throw everything out the window at kickoff. They showed that last night, it was a slugfest in the first half, but size and better conditioning took over the second half, seymour just looked tired including caleb, he ran all over the sc d the first half and did next to nothing in the second. After a 35 minute rain delay due to lighting this was a very good game. It was a shootout in the first half then sevier took over, The rb had 202 yards rushing most in the second half, for a 40-28 final. Maybe some people including myself counted them out when we shouldnt. Even though the had 125 yards in penalities seymour just couldnt get it going in the second half, this team looks pretty good, i think they could do some things this year if they play like they did in the second half.

Karns is gonna make some waves this year. I think that coach has them on the right track to get to be a contender. They looked a lot better starting last year than in years past, but they were still lacking in some areas. And that rb they got is a big old boy, and he brings the pain im sure. Karns is gonna get outa the dog house this year, i say 3rd in the district, db,jeff,karns,sevier.

This is a long shot, but look out for James Rauhuff from pigeon forge. Gonna be a senior i believe. And finish 2nd only two thompson at furman earlier this summer.

It wasnt a state record, it was 2 world records,and hes never taken nething to enhance his abilities so hes not a genetic freak. Ive known him all my life, and he set the world record for the 17-18 year old division at that arnold classic when he was 15, i think he benched 535. neway, a healthy diet and a good workout and ull be right up there with the big boys. i learned that from good ole coach lingo at sevier co, keep liftin boys.

I was being sarcastic! Ya as would i like to see sevier co and db from the old days, or Oak Ridge. And ya they are improved this year, been to a few practices, but not improved enough. Brewer and his staff will certainly be ready, its just a matter of the players bein there. And ama im just playin around so dont think u won this one or the last one i was just gettin tired of typin. If you can honestly sit there and say that casey clausen is a good qb then you must be on something. Lets compare him to a few other UT qbs of the past, Peyton Manning, casey clausen couldnt even hold his jock strap. Tee Martin, won a national title, set numerous records. Heath Shuler, set numerous records, total flop in the nfl, and last but not least Andy Kelley, also set numerous passing records, and if im not mistaken plays for the afl nashville team who is quite succesful. So yes casey clausen may have set some records and you may think he is good, and maybe some other UT freaks do, but he doesnt hold a candle to any qb's in recent UT history, and this post isnt even about casey clausen neway. On another note, ya i did only play those other sports thrue 5th or 6th grade, thats because i loved football and quit those to concentrate on it. And i had knee surgery my sophmore year and it was healed, went right back in spring practice 5 months later and did it agian, this time only mcl, and pcl. Still bad, this is why i quit, because im not going to ruin my life for a few years of football glory. By the way, how many sports have you played? And how many years did you play football? how many idiots are on here? the big east conference is the teams we are supposed to be talkin about, the teams in region 1 5A. Stop saying freakin Maryville and all those other teams. Do a little research before u post. The only teams that are in the big east are in 5A, not 2,3 or 4.

i think shane kelley from the '99 title team at sevier could have beaten locke. he was one of the best all around athletes i have ever seen. As far as joey mathews goes, he is one of the best shall we say "old fashioned" qb's out there. Not very agile, or quick but man he can fire that pig skin. The year he went to UT and started in the orange and white game the coaches had to ask him to stop throwing the ball so hard, cause he was throwing it so hard and so accurate that the players couldnt catch it. And not to beat a dead horse with a stick but he would still be playin or maybe even the nfl if clausen's daddy didnt have so much money.

Just wanted to say congrats to the sevier co boys soccer team, they held bearden scoreless until the final minute of the game the other day. Bearden is one of the best soccer programs in the nation and that is a huge accomplishment, the goalie for sevier co, otto, had somethin like 25 saves. Good luck to bearden and sevier co and maybe we can get the better of you next time.

I'm not taking anything away from the coaches at Sevier co. I'm just sayin maybe a former major leaguer could provide a few pointers that the coaches couldnt since hes played at the highest level possible.
