I asked 2 questions and ya'll get all fired up. Memphis is like the rest of the state. If you have something good, over here, people in this area will want to be a part of it. Same happens at JC and Univ. of Shelbyville, Briarcrest. You can't fight it. TSSAA won't, can't, don't, and ain't gonna police it. Live with it. If you build a successful program, they will come. It may be easier to get it done someplaces than in others.

Tyner played well in our tournament at Christmas. Yes they were in our side of the Brackett and it was the easy side. they have 5 good athletes that start. If they run they are really good. But will have a tough time with a disciplined team with depht or height....

Wescharge, you have to learn to play nice. Don't be directly negative...Work with snide remarks, inneundo, sarcasism and up and out lies....Don't just be plain old mean....LOL

Band? Overton has best band or Whitehaven.....Debate Collierville is state Champs 3 times last 5 years....talking about give it a rest....

The most glaring fact about the AP poll to the larger districts is that many small towns in Tennessee has their own radio station and and a local paper. These people vote for their own. Yes, they vote history and yes they vote records, hopefully some vote on valuable knowledge, and some vote because they think their opinion matters. Not being critical, I know the nature of the beast. Teams I support and coach are not in a position to receive a ranking.

Hall of Fame games are what were called scrimmages. The TSSAA wanted money to build something and came up with these special games. Do we count every scrimmage we play? No! Do we have a play day in the Spring that we bring in 4 teams, that are in Spring practice at the same time and charge a gate to pay for officials? Yes! Do we need to count those games also? Again, no! Our summer league or camp games? By TSSAA guidelines special situations arise in the Hall of Fame games as far as gates and such. They are not regular season games. They are special scrimmages. We split last year and didn't count them. This year we just played afternoon scrimmages. Quit complaining, you are whinning, trying to justify your record, and be glad you have a good team.

Has jackson moved yet and not just rented an apartment. Coach Lowery from Kirby lives around the corner and says she still stays at the same place most nights. With her Craigmont is a lock, then look for someone not mentioned yet on the go to state group. Kirby is in trouble with the injury to willis.

SUPPORT of AAU in the area is waning. the organization is seeing more and more girls that only play for their High School teams with camps and stuff or they play for various pick up groups:tigers and showboats when they become disenchanted with the waves. With the fall of the Celtic organization again. There will be a void in competitive spring ball for young ladies in the memphis area. some of us need to get together and start a new organization. ;
