I dont think that the statement, " our bats weren't working well" is an excuse. it happens to a lot of teams. if you are going to criticize ladybruin14 for saying it you should go and look at all of the threads and criticize everyone else who says it. if i were watching a game and one team didnt hit well, and someone asked me about it, i would tell them that the other team's bats weren;t working well. its not an excuse, its a statement, a fact. im sure at one point or another you have made that statement about your team. they are not cocky, just confident. best of luck to you though.

since it rained and the game was cancelled, does anyone know when, where, and what time the game will be made up? if you could let me know that'd be great. thanks.

this thread goes along with the one about the pitchers on a travel team. just want to get some opinions and see which team you guys think have the best players all on one team. thanks

i think that katie rothamel is great. she can pitch and play shortstop and does a great job at bhs. also metta king, she can hold her own...plays centerfield and has a great offensive game! keep it up girls!

i totally agree. do not put in a bence player who had no idea and is def. not ready in the 6th or 7th inning. especially in the championship game! (sorry, feel very strongly about this.) when the bench players are ready, then you can put em in, but id rather see them get put in in pool play rather than championship or elimination. this might sound bad, but i dont even like em coming in for pool play...if you want to get them some experience schedule scrimmages or have a jv team. just my opinion

Great job brentwood! its been a long time since bhs has won their own tourney. I would also like to add that the bruins got no special treatment bc it was their own tourney, which proves even more that the talent they have. im proud of you guys, way to go! especially allison tyree who kicked but offensively aswell as defensively at pitcher and shortstop!

The brentwood high tourney is this weekend and it has some good teams in it.

i play at brentwood, and i know for a fact our coach didnt ask for these times. it happens every yr. we always get the shaft, it also happens at the beech tourny too.

this tourny is great, a lot of talent is always there. although in my 4 yrs ive never experienced good weather, hopefully itll change this yr. the only complaint i have is how some teams always get the shaft. it seems our team always gets the latest game fri, and then the earliest game sat morn. it stinks.

i would just like to say that the whole start of this thread just reflects badly on hickman co. to make it even worse, they lost. 5-0. enough said.

they will be pretty good...hope to see them in the state tourny too! they will be a good team to face.

i think erin, the ss from dickson co...will do more than her share there. and i agree about with the jennifer jones, kelly major prediction. all 3 get my vote

i think they will be good also, but they will have a hard time getting out of the district with brentwood and overton. good luck to them, but i dont for see them coming out #1 in the district, maybe #2 if anything.

I think that they will get key play out of their seniors and underclassmen. lindsay cavara behind the plate will do great along with freshman pitcher katie rothamel. kaitlyn jones & kelly tyree will help them too. with new transfer senior krissy casey they will have another strong hitter and better defense along w/ their underclassmen. their 2 true seniors, jennifer jones & kelly major, will definately have a lot to do with their winning season. I think you will defianetly see them late into the postseason.

I think there are a lot of middle infield duos that are good and know one knows who they are. but,the one;s i know are: Jennifer Jones from brentwood high. I also know that callie from goodpasture is good, i dont know their ss, so i cant say anything about her. also the toombs girl from coffe co. is good too.

Ive never heard of watertown! how can you count them out of the running if no one has even heard of them. what district are you in anyway?

I think there are a lot of very good summer teams in TN. I think the Brentwood Blues will do well, although i think they are going to have to count on the pitching of meghan rhodes to get them anywhere. The TN stealers are going to do well this summer too. They have a lot of good players from everywhere. Toni Jenson and Corey Curley, 4-5 dickson co. players: amy rhine, taylor newberry, ashley myatt,erin gonzalez. jennifer jones from bhs, kori knight, and lots of other great players.

I also think BHS will be a team to reckon with. They have great talent in their seniors and pitchers. I have no doubt that they will go far into the state tourny if not all the way. AAA teams better watch out.

I think BHS will be very good this year. They have talented seniors and have definate potential to go all the way.
