Hopefully some of the super "sophs" will step up but the pickings are slim from the middle schools. It could turn out to be one of the weakest incoming classes in AC history.

Rumor has it that the Knox County coaches are considering petitioning the administration to allow them to join the TMSAA. That would be 14 additional schools who could be placed in the mix at the end of the year. From what I understand, the coaches discussed it at the last coach's meeting and they would like the opportunity to create an additional large school area that plays into Areas 1,2,3, & 4 at the end of their county tournament. Sounds like a good idea to me and it would enhance the Sectional tournament. We might really find out who are the best teams in East TN instead of just speculating.

Number 10 from Norris played a great game. She lead them on a great run in the final quarter to cut Vance's lead and give Norris a chance. She hit some big threes down the stretch. Does anyone know she is going to school next year?

Both are at home right now. Robertsville lost in the first round of the Area 2 tournament at ACHS and Jefferson finished 3rd and enventually lost to Athens in a Sub-sectional game last Saturday. Both had a great season!

Any information on Area 1 or 3 would be helpful. The sectionals start next week in Pigeon Forge and no one seems to know what is happening in those two areas.

Boys Games Soldiers Memorial defeated Lake City in overtime to advance to play Horace Maynard on Thursday. Norris easily defeated Norwood to advance to play LaFollette on Thursday. Matt, We have two play in games. 7 - 10 & 8 - 9. We based the brackets the on the format ACC and SEC use. The 7 / 10 play in to the #1 and 8 / 9 play in to the # 2. Hopefully they know more than we do.
