I'm not familiar with either of those incidents so I won't comment. I've always found that it's the most fun when both the players and the fans approach the games with great intensity and great emotion. The "Battle of the Boro" comes to mind. Sometimes, that will include a few good-natured jabs and a little "psychological warfare".
Everthing isn't personal...sometimes it's just part of the game. However, everyone should remember that, in the end, it's a game played by kids and it's supposed to be fun.
Of course, it's always more fun when you win....
