(Karns may be somewhat of a surprise this fall. We will see if they are ow that they are starting to get into the hard part of their schedule) we are what we are nothing more. We are inconsistent,but the girls are working hard and that is good enough for me. You are right, the next two weeks will tell us more.

BigG, I will be, but that does not change the preseason rankings. We have alot of work to do before we can even think about being in the top 15 of knoxville hs soccer. But it should be fun, I am looking forward to the challenge.

Kingston new coach is Chris Campbell, although they lost a very good in Luc. I believe they will be a good team.

I would not call a 3-2 win, without trouble. I was scouting that game and i saw a pretty even match after kingston gave up 2 goals in 10 minutes, they came back and made a very had fought game out of it. We have our hand full against them next week.. Good Luck to ootlewah

Hey Kazam, How does kingston look? What formation do they play, are they still a kick ball team like they were 5 years ago. I heard they change the coach since, is the new coach better than what they had?. What are their tendencies any info will be helpful we play next week at a tournament?. Thank you

Hoya, I agree with the statement that is there is a lack of understanting in soccer rule by the governing body of high school sport in this state.

SteveCarb, We are talking about two sports that are played and governed by different rule. Soccer unlike basketball is much more difficult to score in. In soccer the rules states that if you are the last defender and you trip, hold,etc. an attacker to prevent a goal from being scored, you should be ejected. It is not a TSSAA rule, it is a FIFA rule(www.FIFA.com). I as a coach and former player do not think coaches and players should challenge an official's decision on the pitch right or wrong. I have yet to see a ref changes his decision in my 30 some odds years of playing and coaching experiences, and plus I think it is a CLASSLESS act. There are ways to protest a ref after the game, if one feel so strong that the ref is the reason you lost a game you should file a protest with the governing body.. Hoya, Great response. Although the 3-5-2 can be frustrating to play against, to counter a 3-4-3 dependent on your backs should work. Specially if the backs are used as flank runners okay. The rule of thumb is you a going to defend with three they have to be men among boys or women among girls. The 5-4-1 is an all out defense formation, I think Italy is the one who made that formation famous in 1982 against brazil the world cup semi finals. However the french in Euro 2000 did find a way to penetrate the italian defense using a 2-5-3 for the last ten minutes of the game (bad idea for a whole game)
