Well, it's time for me to put my 2 cents worth in....I like reading all the posts on Coacht but I would rather remain silent and keep people thinking....however....most of you know who I am by my handle so here is all I got to say about this game........Ch 4 will there, as well as 2 and 17....along with 12 other media outlets.....you just better get there early....parking lots will fill up quick...and when it does.....nobody will be able to get in....those vehicles will be re-directed to Gladeville Baptist about 2 miles away and be shuttled over by school buses.....prepare......now someone said the atmosphere at MJ was awesome...well you might want to come over to WC and check out the blue zoo....Lastly, about the game....the team that allows the fewest points and scores the most will win....BOOK IT!!!!!! by the way audiovideo stream for those who are out of town....www.wcschools.com/wch click on the listen live link......
  2. You will have a multiple choices to listen and watch the game. Wilson Central will audio stream and possibly will video stream the game as Wilson Co. Schools are out due to fall break. Beech also audio streams as well. Both can be found at www.nhsbn.com. A direct link for Wilson Central's stream can be found on their home page of the school.....www.wcschools.com/wch. We have the ability to hear on Ipod, iphone, or ipad. you just have to click on the mobile view. TSSAA will also video and audio stream as their GAME OF THE WEEK. Most broadcasts will begin around 6:30. It is suggested that you plan on arriving early for parking. When the public parking are full all traffic will be re-routed to alternate parking lots in the area with possible shuttles to be used. Plans are being considered on Monday and Tuesday as to where's and the how's.
  3. Tuesday Oct 25, Wilson Central High School will conduct a ribbon cutting on their new tennis court complex located on the campus. After 2 years of design, and construction, 5 new tennis courts will be available to use by groups and leagues with proper authorization and usage fees. The Ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm. Come join WC and celebrate this addition to the sport of tennis in Wilson County.

Juliet and composed of girls from Southside Elem and West Wilson Middle Schools is in need of 1 or 2 players to fill out the remaining roster spots.   15. FRIDAY RESULTS: Wilson Central got back to their winning ways on Friday Dec 29 by defeating a pesky Briarcrest team by the final score of 58-55. Trailing by 10 points at halftime, (27-17) The Lady Wildcats got on track and outscored the Lady Saints 26-13 in the third . The story that no one would know unless you were in the gym, were the 6 straight 3 point shots made by sophomore Jessy Christopher. That's right not 1 2 3 4 or 5 but 6 straight. Trialing by 10 points Christopher was all alone 6 times. By the time Briarcrest could guard her she had scored 20 points in a 4 minute span including a driving lay-up to open the 4th quarter off a steal. She hit on 6 of 12 shots allowing Wilson Central to regain "MO" and take the lead 42-37 going into the final stanza. Burroughs, Farmer and Wasson each hit long range bombs as Wilson Central hit 9 of 24 3-point shots. Central survived a late run by Briarcrest who missed a shot with 1.6 seconds left to win, however, on the missed shot Tierney Jenkins was fouled on the rebound and went to the other end to shoot the bonus free throws hitting both shots to make the final score 58-55. Scoring for Wilson Central was: Jessy Christopher 20 Tierney Jenkins 19 Jasmine Hassell 6 Sara Williams 4 Chelsea Burroughs 3 Lauren Farmer 3 Lauren Wasson 3 Wilson Central will now play for 5th place on Saturday at 2:00pm est against Greeneville, the host school of the tournament. Wilson Central will be in action after the New Year's Holiday traveling to Smyrna on Friday January 5 for a 6:30 matchup.
  16. Thursday results Playing in the Greene County Bank Ladies' Classic in Greeneville, Tennessee, Wilson Central fell to Knox Webb by the final score of 52-48. The score was tied 10 times and the lead changed 12 times between these two talented high school teams. Tierney Jenkins scored 20 points for the Lady Wildcats while Jasmine Hassell put in 16. Sara Williams, Lauren Wasson and Jessyca Christopher scored 6,3 and 3 respectively for Wilson Central whose record now stands at 14-1. Ladies' Classic 2005 MVP Glory Johnson (Jr.) of Knox Webb led all scorers with 22 points followed by Faith Dupree's 13. Meghan Davis, Jessica Walter, Shayla Jackson Emily Dupree and Jessica Goswitz scored 2, 2,4,4 and 4 respectively. Score by quarters was as follows: 1st quarter, 16-14 Webb 2nd quarter 29-27 Wilson Central 3rd quarter 46-43 Webb 4th quarter 52-48 Webb Wilson Central will now play on Friday against Memphis Briarcrest who was defeated by Maryville. Gametime will be 4:00pm est.
  17. Wednesday results Wilson Central moved into the quarterfinal round of the Greene Co. Bank Ladies' Classic earlier today as the Lady Wildcats outscored Morristown West High School by the score of 66-34. Scoring for WC were Tierney Jenkins with 16, Jessyca Christopher coming off the bench to score 12. Jasmine Hassell and Sara Williams each scoring 9 followed by Lauren Farmer 6, Chelsea Burroughs 5 and 3 points each for Kristyn Clark, Lauren Wasson, and Kelsey McGee. Wilson Central hit 7 three pointers in a game that was decided pretty much by the half. Quarter scoring went like this.....After 1 quarter 18-5 WC, 38-16 at the half. WC continued in the third scoring 20 to make the score 58-25. Wilson Central out-rebounded the Lady Trojans 45-17 and shot 47% from the field. Wilson Central will now play Knox Webb who defeated West Greene High School earlier today 81-34. Gametime is slated for a Thursday 5:30pm est tipoff. Other game winners today at the time of this post are: Briarcrest over North Greene and Lexington Catholic defeating Sevier County.

Bank Ladies Classic on Wednesday Dec 27 11:30am est. vs. Morristown West HS Game results to be posted here as time permits.   19. Wilson Central moved into the finals of the Holiday Inn Classic being played in Cleveland, Tn at Bradley Central HS. The Lady Wildcats defeated Knoxville Austin East by the score of 61-55. Hassell scored 18, Jenkins 15, and Williams 12. Rounding out the scoring for WC was Lauren Farmer with 6, and Jessy Christopher and Chelsea Burroughs each with 5. Wilson Central will now play in the Championship Game on Sunday at 4:30 est against Bradley Central.
  20. Sorry guys but I just have to tell it this way. Wilson Central defeated Memphis Central at Bradley Central Friday afternoon in the first game of the the Holiday Inn Classic in Cleveland, Tennessee. Final Score was 53-51 in OT. Sara Williams scored her 13, 14, & 15th point draining a 3 point shot from deep in the corner to tie the game at 51 with 5 seconds left. Tierney Jenkins scored a double double with 21 points and 12 boards while Jasmine Hassell hit 9 of 10 foul shots on her way to scoring 15. Wilson Central will now play on Saturday at 4:30 est against Knoxville 'Austin East who defeated Hartselle, Alabama. Halftime score: 24-21 Memphis
  21. This is a 2 fold entry. First, Team Tennessee will be hosting a playday on March 24-25 at Wilson Central High School and surrounding nearby gymnasiums. We are in need of 1-2 teams in all ages 9u-13u to round out the field. $120 fee for 3 games. Visit our website for entry form and flyer.   22. I've been told that as long as the 8th grader is not in the same building as the Varsity team they can be coached by the high school coach. I'm not sure about the campus queston. I would think if the 8th grader is under the same principal as the 9-12 players they would be unable to be coached by the high school coach. 8th graders cannot have spring practice with the varsity anyway unless they are under the same roof. But I might be wrong.....you might call TSSAA 889-6740.
  23. Team Tennessee Girls AAU will be hosting a playday weekend for girls teams ages 9u through 15u on March 24-25. Entry fee is $120.00 for 3 games.
