  1. This should be a tough game. Bearden hasn't lost in their last 7 games and are coming on strong at the right time. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Farragut. It's a rivalry and as we all know, anything can happen. Good luck to both teams, it should be a good game like always.
  2. I thought Jan Koller was back from knee injury..?
  3. Hoya is as soft as a pop tart. He knows who he's dealing with. I haven't seen your boys play this year G. Bummer I know, but I'll give you a holler tomorrow at the game. Good luck to both teams. 101 out (That's for IrishLegacy)
  4. Christian Brothers have given up 6 goals in 14 games against the likes of Catholic, Bearden, Farragut, MUS, PJP2, Ridegway, etc. Impressive I must say.
  5. West wins this one. I think if they play they have a legitimate shot of being either Bearden or Farragut. West lost 2-0 to Bearden earlier in the year, but I'm not sure how they did against Farragut..? They've tied a good CAK team and are playing well at the moment. Good luck to everyone though.
  6. Eddie Yah goes for 2. I think he's tired of not being appreciated and has a big game. SH-2 DB-0. Good luck to both teams though.
  7. Both BigG and IrishLegacy will feel my presence tomorrow night @ Knox Catholic. Irish never ceases to keep me laughing with his pointless and out of the ordinary comments.(I love it by the way) BigG is a class act with a good group of guys. Who wins..? Catholic has the homefield advantage, but CAK has history on their side. Going for four in a row. I say this game ends in a shootout. p.s. I'm not declaring a winner.
  8. Wow you scary hooligans you. Reminds me of English soccer fans..no wait it doesn't. It reminds me of a bunch of idiotic fans who know nothing about soccer trying to get on a message board b/c they can't play themselves. Get a life man.
  9. Sven admitted that even he had not seen Walcott play in person. He's said "hello" to him a few times, but everything else was based on Wenger's decision and game footage. A bold move, but why not? I think he can live up to the hype. Spain..not a bad choice. They have a new breed of young talent like Reyes, Luis Garcia, Fabregas, etc. I think the teams in the past have been plauged by old guys, and this Spain team is young and talented. It should be interesting nonetheless. I think the Czech Republic can do some damage. They have a tremendous and HUGE (6 ft. 8 in.) striker in Jan Koller. Rezinski, Baros, Nedved, and Cech, one of the top keepers in the world. Nedved, despite recent troubles (one bad game vs Arsenal, the one time we get to see Juventus on tv), but he has still won player of the year honors, and is still a top class player. I think the USA will have a tougher time than most people think. Anyways, tourny starts in less than 30 days!
  10. Ain't that the truth? I like the icon though. Did u see the last game @ Highbury? What a game it was!
  11. I guess that explains it. What would I do without u mjuhb?
  12. Explain this: The Redmond Top 11 is a joke. Father Ryan has a subpar record, and isn't even number 1 in Division 2, yet they are the top team in the state? Christian Brothers is hands down the best team in the state, ranked number one in D2, have a great schedule, and are supposedly the third best team in the state? Blackman with a 9-6 record unranked in AAA, but #6 overall? CAK is #11, the 3 time A/AA defending champs, who beat Farragut, a #8 seed, and are no higher? Also, where's Science Hill who beat Farragut 3-0 and CAK 3-2. I guess they are replaced by Bearden who lost to Maryville and tied TN High. Explain please?
  13. Many thanks gameball. I had the opportunity to watch them play a few times this year. When they wanted to be good, they had the capability, just not the heart. I would give anything to go back and play! It flew by and now I'm becoming an old man. I tried to bring it every game I played at LC. Now I enjoy watching a good game. I'm gonna try to make it out to Catholic for the game with CAK on Friday (assuming everyone makes it). I think I know who you are..
  14. 2005 A/AA State Final: CAK vs. Chatt Christian 2004 A/AA State Final: CAK vs. Lenoir City 2003 A/AA State Final: CAK vs. Chatt Christian Just going by the facts. Knox Catholic has also been to state in D2 the past 5 or 6 years in a row. The numbers don't lie. CAK for one is peaking now, and they will be a dangerous team in state. Look for a possible matchup with Catholic in the state final. I never said the West was weak, but teams like Madison who hope to prove themselves need to build consistency so they too can become like the CAKs and the Catholics. Who's to compare the East vs West? YOU CAN'T COMPARE THEM. The schedules and everything are so different.
  15. I'm home homey! You are the man. I think you may have actually done some studies involving the proper flight, touch, etc. of a sac. You are smart enough and studly enough (no particular order). I hear you involved live research participants such as Croatians. Is this true? You don't owe me a Mr. in the title. A plain ole' buddy will do the trick. I owe you the props for guiding your team to the postseason like you did. Call me IrishLegacy! p.s. I love hoya
  16. The draw is very favorable for England. I believe if Rooney comes back they can go far. You also have to consider who tops the Argentina/Holland group. I think Holland is a better matchup for England than Argentina. I just don't see Holland making it far with a young team. England doesn't have to play anyone til the quarterfinals. By the way, John Terry has been cleared to play. Xrays determined this a few days ago, so he'll be fine.
  17. My Predictions: Germany, Poland- A England, Sweden-B Ivory Coast, Argentina-C (surprising I know) Portugal, Mexico-D Czech Republic, Italy-E Brazil Croatia-F France, Togo-G Spain, Ukraine-H Germany v Sweden- Germany Argentina v Mexico- Argentina England v Poland- England Portugal vs. Ivory Coast- Portugal Italy v Croatia- Italy France v. Ukraine- France Brazil v. Czech Rep.- Brazil Spain v Togo- Spain Germany v Argentina- Argentina England v Portugal- England Italy v France- France Brazil v Spain- Brazil England v Argentina- Argentina France v Brazil- Brazil Brazil- World Champions It's a longshot calling Ivory Coast over the Netherlands, but I think they have the style and talent to do it. The Netherlands are a very strong team, but I just don't see how you can go from not making the WC in 2002 to advancing far in the tournament. They are very talented but also very young. I think van Basten is crazy for not calling up Seedorf, Davids, and Maakay. The Ivory Coast have experienced guys like Drogba, Toure, and Eboue. It should be quite a cup. Argue with me PLEASE!
  18. I say use a tennis ball instead. It's closer to the feel of an actual soccer ball but is small enough to work on your touch. A lot of pros have used tennis balls over the years. Couldn't hurt anything anyways..
  19. Im sorry but I just dont see Portland going to state. Prove me wrong though
  20. Good point. You think Gibbs will be in top form?
  21. Bennett Giles CAK Andy Kimball McMinn (funny how some people on here claim he's not good, but everyone outside this stupid message board say he's a top player) Logan Threadgill Webb
  22. I'd take Berhalter over Albright any day of the week. I was very surprised as was everyone else with the insertion of Ching. Then again, I am not Bruce.
  23. Perhaps that is why I try to stay away during this time..
  24. Seems to me there are a lot of posts being shut down because everyone acts like 3 year olds and lets someone hundreds of miles away get to them from something said on a computer forum. Just play the game. I for one am tired of people getting on here and talking all this garbage about how good they are. Prove how good you are on the field. To BigG, keep up the good work and thanks for the call tonight! Good job in winning the tournament. I will be there when you play Catholic for districts. When is this game?
  25. I like Catholic's chances in this tournament. I also like mjuhb's icon.
