  1. Well the info was incorrect. Thank you.
  2. You know WG, sometimes I'm with you, but then a lot of times your ignorance of things sends me back to the darkside. There is no finalization in either district. Most of the matches have been snowed out. Overton has beat Antioch, that's about it. Most of this district has rescheduled for this week. So everyone will know who the other district will be feeding on. Match on Thursday b/w Antioch & McGavock will probably be for 2nd in the district unless McGavock pulls the upset. Then it gets interesting.
  3. Guess it's kind of hard to forget that there are two districts in Region 6. The top 2 teams from each district go to duals. Then the top two finishers go to state.
  4. @ 119-Patrick Chadwick of Overton can not go 119, he is a 125. @ 189-others to watch, it is DENZEL Caldwell of Antioch, Daven graduated two years ago. To obeseShady, Alex Bennett is a very tough wrestler. Franklin Invite was a tough tourney as well as winning the Ryan Invite, pretty good resume'.
  5. Brandon Greer is at 119. Although there is a freshman at Antioch that may squirm his way into one of those 4 spots. Name is Clarence Mathis.
  6. I obviously did not read the full list of teams carefully. I totally missed Siegel on that list. I stand corrected on my team predictions, because Siegel has been making quite a bit of noise this season. Forgive me Coach Ramsey, you are doing an excellent job with your program.
  7. I am relating this against the field @ Smyrna. If Blackman is healthy, it will be close team wise going either way. If I am not mistaken, their 125 won the Huntsville tourney. Just my opinion b/w him and Feurbacher. The top three in this tournament can be called out, after that its a shot in the dark.
  8. Possibly so, IMO, and I have seen both wrestlers, the Buckhorn kid will win a close decision. Feurbacher takes risks, the Buckhorn kid is a great defensive wrestler, and tell everyone to watch out for the cradle.
  9. Why do you even reply if you are not going to respond. I also saw the match, and from what I saw, Love of MLK wrestled a pretty good match. Now the pinfall was quick, but Little was pinned. I saw where he was upset and probably cost the team some team points for unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing the headgear and mouthpiece at the end of the match. For throwing both he may have been disqualified from the tourney. IDK so I won't speculate.
  10. There is a thread on the tournament. I see that Buckhorn will be attending, they are a very good team out of Alabama. They will probably run through this tournament. With Blackman and Northwest finishing 2nd & 3rd. We ran into Buckhorn at their dual tournament, solid. Watch for their 125 very good wrestler.
  11. I know for certain LEAD Acad & Pearl-Cohn do not have teams. Not sure about Nashville Christian.
  12. Any idea when results will be up on mat control??????
  13. No Denzel did not have a concussion, but he was pretty woozy, and should have taken the injury time like he was told. He wanted to get back out and finish the match. Now your assumption that he didn't shoot the whole tournament is an assumption. Ask Lamer where the first points came from, because it sure looked something like a double leg to me. If you ask my opinion, Lamer did not beat Caldwell, Caldwell beat himself, because he will not use any of the offensive moves that he does in practice everyday. His explanation is that he thinks too much on the mat. Can't honestly get him to stop shooting in practice, not translating to matches, and that is what is holding him back from being one of the top 189's in the state. Just keep your eyes open, no Antioch will not be at Father Ryan been trying to get in for a few years, but he is working hard, along with our other guys, to improve and get ready for state.
  14. Caldwell has 2 losses on the year, both to Biggs of Mt. Juliet by 3 and 1 point. He doesn't need to be ranked, let him keep flying under the radar. Also, Brandon Greer of Antioch has been holding his own @ 125 so far, don't count him out. Losses were to Chadwick of Overton, Bennett of Franklin(was winning the match and ran out of gas), and Fuerbacher of Blackman(bumped up to 130 for match). He has also pinned the Siegel kid. One more name to throw out from Antioch is Joe Melson @ 160. Has won a couple of tournaments, with a loss to Schrader and the Hillwood kid, who he completely destroyed in their rematch. Look for him to place this weekend.
  15. @189-Daven Caldwell graduated 2 years ago. Denzel Caldwell(Antioch) is who you are referring to.
  16. Chadwick of Overton has clearly stated that he will be at 125 this season. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't DeAndre Morrison at 145 this weekend? Might be tough to make 125 from there.
  17. John F. Kennedy Middle School in Nashville needs a coach or they will not have a season. Apparently the guy they had did not check out in Metro's background check. There are about 30 kids out, who are very disappointed. If there is anyone that is interested please call Kennedy Middle school or contact Trent Anderson, who is the Athletic Director. Please help these kids out.
  18. Any individual tournament, whether one day, or two day counts as 1 date. Each team may only participate in 4 individual tourneys, but as many dual tourneys as they want, just can't exceed 18 dates.
  19. The Antioch Preseason Tournament will be this Saturday, November 20. Wrestling will begin around 9. There will be mass hydration begining at 6:45. Admission is $5.
  20. Predictions individually are hard right now, team wise, I will look at the top 4 in each district District 11 Ravenwood Franklin Indy Brentwood District 12 Overton Antioch McGavock Cane Ridge A-AA E. Lit(enough said) Although Antioch could finish on top of D12.
  21. If Freeman is at 112, then my name is Vince Young. He was barely making it last season, I see him at 119 this year. Kermick will probably be a stretch at 112 too, but he will be a contender at 119 as well. Add in Brandon Greer of Antioch to the mix at one of those weights.
  22. The Antioch Preseason Scrimmages are on Nov. 20. We will run this on 7 mats, 1 minute periods, with advanced, beginner, and girls divisions. Hydration will also take place this day. If interested please send an email to jerome.dooley@mnps.org. Must be a coach present for participation.
  23. I am going to throw a couple of names out there that might get a shot this time around, Matt Clay-DC at Hillsboro, and Brandon Easley-former asst. coach at Glencliff. Both have the know how to run a team and IMO would be good head coaches
  24. To add to the list of best players, Michael Coleman-Stratford
