How many times did both teams turn the ball over on downs inside the 20 yard line. I'm afraid it was about the same for both teams. I believe Lewis County turned the ball over on downs inside the twenty with 2 minutes left in the game. Lewis County never had a long drive because they started every drive at about midfield. I'm not on here making excuses for the loss, Lewis County lost, and a loss is a loss whether you lose by 4 points or by 40 so don't make excuses for only winning by 4 points. So if Riverside had 7 drives inside the 10 and only scored on 3 of them, counting extra point tries, that means LC stopped Riverside inside the 5 yard line 7 out of 10 tries.

You need more than a little work on special teams, they can't punt, can't kick an extra point and can't kick off. Riverside didn't score an extra point or a 2 point converstion. The defense for Riverside won the game, no way does Riverside score 28 points on Lewis County. Riverside is good, but not that good.

If you are looking for 926 or catfish, they are not from Lewis County, but the real Lewis County fans are still around and will be for a very long time. If you didn't notice Friday night 11 of the starters for Lewis County were sophmores and freshmen. Riverside has a good team and a great running back but without any kicking game it will be hard to beat any team from the alphabet region from Nashville. I watched a pretty good game friday night and the team that wanted it the most won, don't let down this week, play with that same emotion and intensity this friday and you could be playing the fourth place team from region 5

That has got to be the most hilarious post I have ever seen!! Maybe that's why Coach Sharp has won so many games.That's it, that's why Lewis County has won all these games, you have finally figured it out!!!!!

Lewis County had over 480 yards rushing, with a 54 yard run for a touchdown called back because of an inadvertent whistle by one of the officials. One back had over 200 yards rushing, while 2 more backs rushed for over 100 yards each.

You do realize who Lewis County has been competing against every year in the playoffs and they do have a winning record against the west Tennessee teams, 6 - 4 in the last four years. People in Lewis County do know what happened last year at Camden but we did not realized what happened last year has a bearing on the results for this coming season. One thing we have learned in Lewis County is what happened last year happened last year and last year is over. I guess that way of thinking comes with a long winning tradition, not after one really good season.

Those Lewis County people just kill ya, just because they average almost 9.5 wins a year with 8 regional championships in the last 15 years, how could they ever think they could compete with Camden.

Does Camden's season usually last that long? Oh wait, last year was the first time they were still playing after the first round. My bad.

R, Lets hope the Camden football team does not have the same mentality as you, because if they do, it could be a long season. One good season does not make a dynasty.

Lewis County adds another regional championship to the impressive program Coach Sharp has built. With the last 2 junior high football teams going undefeated, it looks like Coach Sharp will have Lewis County on top of their new region for many more years and could possibly make another run of 3 or more regional championships in a row, which Coach Sharp has done twice in his 15 year career at Lewis County.

So he can play for a winning program, all that mens program in Knoxville is good for is a coach's grave yard.

Waverly won their last basketball game of this season last night, Giles County by what ever amount they want it to be! thumb

Has Fairview ever beaten Lewis County? I don't believe they have in the last 10 or 15 years. This should be good game during Lewis County's reloading year.

I appreciate all of the comments since my first posting. I am looking forward to seeing the scores and comments tomorrow. FBEmeritus, thanks for the request from coacht, but this "kid" coached for 32 years before being deployed and served in the national guard for 37 years as of this month. I am not exactly a youngster, but I am a "kid" at heart and still love high school sports. Thanks.
