I still remember the Marshall Cty @ Page game last year. Page rallied late and was about to win the game when Heather threw a great changeup to Page's catcher (Valin???) to win the game. As a pitcher you remember those moments for a long time after you forget comments made by people like billythekid1.

Congrats to BHS!!! The BHS vs BA game was exciting. The BA pitcher, throwing her 4th game of the day, lead 3-1 going into the bottom of the last inning. A strong leadoff hit by Chrissy, a stolen base, and two infield errors opened the door for a BHS comeback. Chrissy C. had 2 big hits but give Lindsay C. a lot of credit, she gunned down two BA runners at second with strong throws. sk9

It is unfortunate when two teams are so unevenly matched. Neither team learns much in a 15-0 game. You never tell your hitters to strike out on purpose or your defense to drop ball intentionally. So, play your bench, work on slap bunts, don't steal home on a pass ball.

I know several of the girls that play for Friendship. They are good ballplayers and have good attitudes. All they need to do is win a few early season tournaments and maybe a state title (or 12) and they will be right up there with the Ezell's.

I agree, Riley has a great arm. Now, let's figure out how to make her more vocal. You get bonus points if you know her nickname.

I think you went a bit too far with the outfielder comment. I can show you several highschools that have a strong pitcher/catcher and weak outfields and still win. On the other hand, there are very few teams that hit well enough to overcome a weak pitcher. Also, from Sept - March I see many pitchers and catchers working out at places like Club K. I think there are only a few fielders that pick up a bat or glove on a daily basis during the off-season.

Tarrah will win this one easily. My guess is a one hitter at worse.

umm what happened to GPS? i think soddy will do very well this year they have the total brand of softball players - coffee co is very beatable. Also what about Beech they've done well in state the past few years and from the past few weekends look like they once again will have a strong team? Also... any comments on the Brentwood Academy-Father Ryan rilvary? who will be div 2 state champions this year?

At the Beech playdays, several pitchers had to throw three or more games. I feel sorry for anyone that had to turn around and throw again Mon. or Tues. Oh well, at least we are not like the high school boys who throw one game and are dead for a week.

Would someone please tell the Lewis coach it is not against the law to play all of their players at least once this year. If they will give them a little playing time they will be a much better team next year.

Coach, do you need a 12u pitcher in March and April? My regular team can't play until May. I mostly pitch, but can play other positions. Good speed, drop and curve mostly. Let me know soon.

FR should do well in Nashville this year. But GPS, Baylor and St. Ben. will be strong in May and the state will be interesting. FR better get the job done this year because the team will be much weaker in 04'. Go Irish.
